A delightful apartment in Callian, surrounded by extensive gardens and with fantastic panoramic views over the Esterel hills and the valley of the 'Villages Perchés' area. The accommodation is ideal for a couple. From the lower part of the garden some stone stair-steps in the landscaped garden bring you via the paved private terrace with table and chairs to your own entrance and into the hall with separate toilet. There's a newly built open plan kitchen with dining area for 4 and a comfortable reading corner around the small fireplace, with seats for 4 as well. The double bedroom has a breathtaking view over the valley, a comfortable lounge and a separate comfortable shower room. The apartment is set on top level of the villa, with the owners living below & who shall remain discreet. From the terrace you can directly start a walk into the forest surrounding the villa. Situated at approx. 1 km of the village for local shopping, daily 'croissants' and bread. There is a Private parking.

Callian is a beautiful hilltop village with picturesque old buildings grouped around the medieval castle perched on its rocky pinnacle. Most local shops and restaurants are situated in the historic centre. In Callian (valley), Fayence, Montauroux, Seillans and Tourrettes are supermarkets, regular markets, restaurants and good local amenities. Callian is close to the spectacular Lac de St. Cassien, known as one of the best carp fishing lakes in Europe, where you can also swim or make a trip on a water bike. The canyon of the Siagne river is particularly appreciated for walking or just the cool comfort of its borders among the waterfalls. Daytrips to the Verdon Canyon, Cannes & it's isles Ste. Marguerite or St. Honorat, Grasse' Perfume Manufacturies, Monaco, St. Tropez, Italy Ventimiglia market on Friday or the one in Bodiguera on Thursday. Note the 18 hole Golf Course 'Terre Blanche' in Tourrettes and the Gliding Airfield in Fayence as well. Two Bicycles are ready for you at the villa.

Lovely, peaceful and well-equipped apartment

We spent a fantastic week at the apartment in mid September. Very peaceful, very well equipped, spacious, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We bought essential supplies in the supermarket before arriving only to find everything we needed was already there.
Callian itself is a lovely hilltop town and a short walk from the apartment for the boulangerie, mini supermarket or eating out. It's ideally placed for exploring either the Cote d'Azur or mountain villages and impressive Gorge du Verdon further inland. Plus large supermarkets and other shops are only ten minutes away by car.
Ineke and Dick made us feel extremely welcome and gave good advice on day trips, plus recommendations for eating out. Thoroughly recommended for a peaceful, relaxing break.

If you like 5 star comfort, but you hate to be troubled by the crowd at the pool or at the restaurants, this is where you have to go. On top of all facilities one can require, you are literally in the middle of the most picturesque landscape. No wonder that Cezanne and Van Gogh were inspired by those breathtaking surroundings...
Ineke and Dick's home is from fairytales: right under a shady forest, but facing the sunny valley covered by olive trees, vineyards, poppies, etc; 1 km to the left, you can admire the majestic Chateau of Callian raising from the medieval village built in pure Provencal style… and a glass of wine by the pool, enjoying the sunset light over the village is a joy that everyone should experience.
When you feel like moving a little, just drive away: 1 hour to the coast (St. Tropez, St. Maxime, beaches in Ramatuelle etc) or 20-30 minutes to any other charming village around, where you can have an exquisite French dinner or try a wine tasting, watch the petanque players, go shopping for traditional products at the bi-weekly markets and what not.
Last, but not least, you will never miss the warm, safe feeling of home. By the time you check in, your hosts, Ineke and Dick, with their immense kindness, have already thought that you might be thirsty or hungry, or you are just willing to relax for a moment to enjoy the perfect view from your appartment over a glas of wine. Well, just open the fridge; you’ll have a wonderful surprise from the good fairy ?
For all these reasons and because all good things happen here, I think that choosing this destination for your vacation will simply make you happy.

We found a nice, romantic place in the hills of Callian - thiswonderful aprtement. Around Callian, there are many nice spots to see, but some whole day in and around the house is compltely satisfying!
