A delightful house built on a hill, views from every window, not overlooked, secure behind its own front gate and driveway, last house in the road, no passing traffic, no road noise, just peace and the sound of birds. The master bedroom fills the whole of the top floor, there are two bedrooms downstairs and two further bedrooms in a delightful cottage across the courtyard. Notes: There is a separate utility room with washer drier and pool inflatables, lounger cushions and a basket of poolside towels. There is internet access and a printer in the television room and the television receives UK channels. DVD's and CD's are provided, plus an Ipod speaker system. There are many books, novels, travel guides and maps.The garden has been fenced and is well laid out with beautiful, colourful flower borders and terraces on three sides of the house. Watering system keeps everything green and the pool man and gardener visit once a week. The house is on its own little hill and so the drive is fairly steep, but then this affords the excellent views all around. We have a local English speaking manager and cook and cleaner can be provided every day on request. The drive is entered through your own electric gates and the house has a security alarm system. Wheelchair access if possible to all the ground floor rooms and bedrooms and to the poolside, garden and terraces.

ideal retreat with everything you could wish for

This is a truly idyllic and secluded luxury villa where the owners have thought of every detail - from the 5 star layout, right down to the sumptuous furnishings and the swimjet in the heated infinity pool. You will never want to leave the peace and tranquility of the villa with its beautiful gardens and breathtaking views from every side, but it is the perfect base for an exploration of Southern Spain where you really will find something for everyone. Aside from being a golfers paradise, there is also plenty of horse riding, sailing and even scuba diving in the summer! You will find an abundance of buzzing, world-class restaurants, shopping, beaches and nightlife in nearby Marbella and Puerto Banus, as well as the legendary historical cities of Granada and the Alhambra, Sevilla and Ronda all within a day trip. An hour along the coast is the vibrant surfing town of Tarifa with its miles of windswept beaches, cobbled streets and abundance of kitesurfers and windsurfers to keep you entertained - also well worth a visit or even a lesson for those brave enough!
Alternatively, just lie back and enjoy the wonderful views and relaxation the villa affords - whatever kind of holiday you're after, this magical place really does cater for everyone.

As soon as we walked into this house we breathed a sigh of relief. Luxourious comfort yet retaining that essential home-from-home feel. The late-night dining out on the terrace, overlooking the magnificent sea view, just listening to the crickets in the candle light, is one of the most romantic, enduring memories. Very highly recommended - it is hard to beat.. Can't wait for our next visit!

This is an elegant, very well equipped villa, in its own protected grounds - ideal for large or small groups. The gardens and terraces and pool are very well maintained and a pleasure to use and the views of the mountains are stunning. My husband and I have stayed there many times and never tire of it.

A Long Sunny Spring Weekend

What a perfect way to spend a long Bank Holiday weekend out of London! After a very short and hassle free journey, we were lying by the pool with a cold glass of Rioja Blanco in hand! Heaven! La Cotorra is perfectly positioned, a short drive from the markets and busy life of Puerto Banus, yet totally secluded up in the hills. You're surrounded by fabulous golf courses and incredible restaurants, yet you may never want to leave the wonderful homely space La Cotorra provides. I truely recommend a visit!

Outstanding!

This was the BEST rental I've ever done. The house is absolutely superb - it's beautiful, the scenery is spectacular, the equipment and furniture are 5 star and the whole ambience is just wonderful for a great holiday. The kitchen has absolutely everything including a warming oven and 2 dishwashers so we did loads of entertaining and the eternity pool overlooks the best view in Spain. The bedrooms are really spacious, immaculate and the bathrooms remind me a good spa. . It's lovely. There's a great restaurant just at the end of the road if you don't want to cook (can't remember the name but it's directly opposite the turn to the villa so you can't miss it.) It takes about 6 minutes to get into Puerto Banus, so you can be in the thick of it one minute and in peaceful heaven the next.
We're definitely going back again and my only hesitation when recommending it is that someone else might get it when I want it
