Pisa is just 25 minutes from Palaia and the cultural treasure chest of Florence is 40 minutes away. Both are easily accessible by car from Palaia, although travelling by train is a more relaxing way to visit Florence as driving and parking in the city can be a tough ask.

The nearby village of Colleoli is a real asset for tourism in Palaia. The spa facilities are wonderfully luxurious, and a great place to relax after a day investigating the Tuscan countryside.
