The scenery is simply indescribable, and you can choose whether to explore the jungle, the staggering coastline or the underwater habitats of the island. Scuba diving is a huge source of entertainment in Phuket, as there is an unbelievable amount to see, and the clear waters allow you too see for hundreds of metres. The visibility is so good in many cases that armed with a snorkel and a kayak, you can see some magnificent sights without the help of an oxygen tank. Deep sea fishing trips in Phuket are some of the most fun to be found, and you can catch trophy fish like sailfish, tuna, reef sharks, dorado and marlin all year round.

On dry land, there are many sources of entertainment too. Taking holiday rental accommodation in Phuket means that golfers are right at home. Phuket has seven golf courses, all to European tour standards, but in far more impressive scenery! Eco-tours on the back of an elephant can be arranged to investigate some of the more unspoilt habitats of the island, or visitors to a Phuket property can leave the comfort of their rental villa and take an overnight tour, using elephant, white water rafts, kayaks and the their own feet to tour the island.

Phuket’s nightlife is very lively, very colourful and great fun. Patong Beach is the centre of the loudest parties and biggest crowds, but there are also a huge number of laid back bars and clubs (cabaret, dance and more) in resorts across the island.

Flights to Phuket, Thailand

The easiest way to reach a holiday rental villa in Phuket is by air. Although there are no direct flights from the UK, it is still relatively easy. British Airways provide a large number of flights to Bangkok (BKK), Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Hong Kong (HHP) and Singapore (SIN), from which connections to Phuket are regularly provided. Although this may sound like an ordeal, travel times are remarkably short, and once you arrive in your Phuket accommodation, you will know that it was worth it!
