There are also pedallos available for hire, and sailing can usually be easily arranged. Although Playa de Pals is a secluded, peaceful resort, there are some fantastic facilities for family holidays. There are tennis courts in Playa de Pals, a go-karting track and scattered beach bars to investigate along the bay. There is even a local golf course attached to a local hotel, as well as a great water park nearby. Pals Golf Course is one of Spain’s most picturesque courses, and has hosted a great number of national and European competitions, but as long as you have packed your handicap certificate, arranging a tee-off time should not pose any problems. There are six excellent golf courses within the region, so don’t forget your certificates!

Walking holidays also thrive from holiday accommodation in Playa de Pals, Spain. The northern end of the bay consists of marshes and large sand dunes which are a joy to explore on foot, but it is the many beautiful trails of the Basses d’en Coll Nature Park that really attract walkers to the region. The coastal path that runs along the bay is magnificent, taking you to secluded bays and beaches, including the tiny Illa Roja beach where clothes are optional.

The attractive little town of Pals is just 3km inland from Playa de Pals accommodation. The town is fantastically relaxed, and although the nightlife is not what could be described as raucous, a great evening can be had. The medieval cobbled streets are a joy to explore, especially if you take the time to pop into some of the restaurants and shops which hide within the town.
