The Village of Plesidy

With its ancient church standing proud over traditional stone Breton houses and daily village life unfolding underneath. A trip to the Boloungerie for bread and pastries or booking a table at the local lunchtime restaurant for their Plat de Jour is probably all you will notice initially. Look a little further and you’ll discover more about the village’s hidden past. A reminder of when life wasn’t so peaceful can be seen at the 2nd world war memorial in the village centre and a large primitive stone monument (menhir) is also located on the perimeter and is approx. 37ft in height. If you pass through at the right time of day you may also catch a glimpse of the local men playing Boules on the little pitch located on the edge of the village.
