The old town is a holiday destination in itself. Filled with hugely fashionable and smart shops, the cobbled streets of Porto Vecchio have no end of attractions, with open air restaurants and atmospheric cafes surrounding the main square. La Tour Genoise and the Porto Vecchio Fortress are well worth visiting from any villa, apartment or property in the area. In the evenings, the old town is a wonderful place to have a drink, as the nightlife is great fun, but not dominated with raucous youths by any means.

There are a huge range of beaches to explore whilst on holiday in Porto Vecchio accommodation. The most famous beach in the area, Palombaggia is stunning, with fine, white sand stretching around the inside of the bay, always attracting a small crowd during the long summer months. If you would prefer to have the whole beach to yourself, there are some excellent remote beaches within striking distance of a Porto Vecchio villa, many of which are only accessible by foot or even by boat! Porto Vecchio harbour is filled with boats and yachts. Boat hire and sailing lessons are readily available, letting even the most inexperienced sailors take a day slowly exploring the coast, drop anchor on an idyllic, deserted beach and relax in the sun with a picnic.

The Ospedale Forest carpets the foothills of the mountains, providing walkers, mountain bikers and bird watchers with a huge amount of terrain in which to slowly explore the Corsican environment. There are also riding stables and 4x4 off-road centres in and around Porto Vecchio, giving visitors many more options for getting into the countryside.
