Punta Ala (formerly known as Punta Troia) is an upmarket area of the town of Castiglione della Pescaia in the Grosseto province of Tuscany, Italy. Punta Ala marks the start of a long sandy stretch of beach that runs all the way to Marina di Grosseto, some 20km south-east around the coast. The beach makes for good sunbathing and relaxing, especially during summer months, when the warm waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea can also be enjoyed for their swimming opportunities.
Punta Ala is also a great destination for a golfing holiday, with the nearby Golf Club Punta Ala offering 18 excellent holes amongst some stunning scenery. The whole resort is relatively upmarket, with a number of luxury yachts to be found in the marina and a selection of high-class accommodation options.

Punta Ala weather is great beach weather between June and August, when temperatures average 28C, and you are almost guaranteed several hours worth of sunshine every day.
