Wonderful Family Vacation

Review Submitted: September 2, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
I used to live in Vero and we came to visit family and friends. We had 5 adults & 1 child. During our visit we had family gatherings with several more adults and children and the house was great for this! The kids loved the pool. You can't ask for a better location, central to everything! South Beach is just a short walk. House is on a main thorough fare but traffic or noise was never an issue. Very quiet and relaxing. Clarke and Marina are very nice. Great communication and willingness to work with tenants.
Looking forward to return visit!

Fab holiday in Vero Beach!

Five Brits Southampton, England
Review Submitted: May 7, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
My family and I travelled from Southampton, England to stay at Clarke and Marina's house for two weeks in April 09 and had a wonderful holiday. The location was perfect - I walked to the beach one morning to watch the sunrise which was glorious. My husband fished from the dock every day with live shrimp from the bait shop next to the Riverside Cafe (excellent food there). He caught snook, catfish and a ray of some sort, and we saw manatee twice. My daughter and I lazed by the pool and swam, while my son-in-law just relaxed with a book (he read 7 during our stay). My son drove to the local malls and found some bargains to bring home. The Vero Beach Book Centre is worth a visit too.
The house is very spacious and as we have friends in the area, we were able to invite them over to visit. Everything we could have needed was there, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. We met Marina and found her to be extremely friendly, and all our communications with both Clarke and Marina have always been answered very promptly.
We ate out several times during our stay, and can recommend Captain Hiram's Resort in Sebastian for great food, service and live music.
All in all, we all had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend this property to anyone who wanted to explore this beautiful part of Florida.

Better than a Carribean Vacation any day

West family New Lowell, Ontario, Canada
Review Submitted: May 5, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Our family decided at the last minute to have a vacation and Marina and Clarks home was the best decision over any Dominican or Mexican trip we could ever take. The home was spacious enough for my husband and I , and our two teenagers (15 and 17), who by the way were not bored one minute.
We went to the beach (5 min) one day, and another day we took an amazing airboat ride through the swamp. We saw Gators and birds as well as beautiful foliage. The company we went with was called "Stumpknockers" (amazing, he knew that swamp inside and out). We also drove out to the Sebastian inlet (a must see)
and spent the day in that area. Throughout the week, our son caught some amazing fish from the dock, and even caught something that was either a small sting ray or a skate fish. (the live shrimp with a bobber is the key!!!!)
Overall, we will be returning next year and we can't wait!!!!

Wonderful family vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here at Marina and Clarke's place. The pool was large and just right for young kids. The house was spacious and has a really nice beach house feel to it. The house was no more than a 5 minute walk from a public beach entrance, as well as wonderful neighbourhoods if you are interesting in running or walking. We traveled to Melbourne Beach, Cocoa Beach and Kennedy Space Center and did so on the A1A. It was a pleasant drive with great scenery. All the amenities you need are available at Vero Beach.

I would highly recommend this rental property - thanks again Marina and Clarke!!

Very Enjoyable Week!

Review Submitted: November 18, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2008
We had a wonderful family holiday in Vero Beach. The house was very much like it appered on line... clean and well maintained. The owners were very friendly and acommodating. We were a 5 minute easy walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive to a Publix Grocery Store... all the shopping anyone would need is 15 minutes away by car. Great neighbourhood... it is located on a busy 4 lane road but this did not present a problem for us - the back yard and pool are very private. The kids enjoyed the dock and the pool... lots of space and everything one would need - great home away from home!

We, a party of four from Germany, had a wonderful time in the House in Vero Beach. Everything was absolutely perfect. We found the house and surroundings the way we expected it after we had reviewed the description and the pictures. We are able to recommend this house to everybody who is planning a trip to Florida.

Comfortable Vacation Home

Review Submitted: September 6, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
We stayed in this house the last two summers. We know Vero Beach very well, so we knew that it was a good location. Minutes to the beach and close to shops including a great new Publix supermarket and the wonderful Vero Beach Book Center.

We had a great time visiting with family and friends, and the flow of the house makes it perfect for entertaining, and for a vacation with children.

We have 2 year old twins, so the house was perfect for us the last two years. The furnishings were comfortable in a kid-friendly/spacious environment which made it easy to "child-proof" for our stay. The family/TV room was entered through a dutch door that allowed us to prepare meals in the kitchen, yet also watch the kids closely. The ammenities provided were everything we could possibly need and having a good washer and dryer really helped a lot. The house is an older home, but it was well-maintained and very clean. Our favorite part was the pool which was perfect for us! We were in it constantly. It was a nice size for laps or just relaxing, and of course the kids loved it.

We look forward to staying there again.

Peaceful vacation place

Ga Beachlovers Calhoun, Ga
Review Submitted: July 20, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
We stayed the week of the 4th of july and loved it. Owners are great and the house is perfect for big families with kids. No carpet, so it was easy to keep clean. Great location for beach and shopping. Neighbors were really nice. Best fishing we have ever experienced while vacationing. Pool was super clean and fishing dock is excellent for all day fun. Bait store was close and those guys are great as well.

East Causeway Rental

Great Vacation! Houston, TX
Review Submitted: June 14, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
We had a terrific vacation at this property!! The house had everything we were looking for: sleeping 6+, a private pool, a dock for our boat with close access to great fishing (how's a 37" inch Snook sound?) and close access to the beach and shopping. We found the home to be well laid out, very clean and well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. It was exactly what our 3 families needed.

We even had a pool party with local family and friends, and had lots of room and fun.

We found the owners to be very responsive and very good to deal with.

When we looked on-line, I was concerned about the road. However, we can tell you that it presented no problems whatsoever. In the days, we were at the pool, beach, dock or boat. At night, the road traffic is extremely minimal with no distractions.

Additionally, when we looked on-line, we weren't sure whether we wanted a newer home with "all the glitter". However, we can tell you that we were EXTREMELY glad we chose this property. We felt it was perfect for our needs. We had people ranging from 5 - 60 (including toddlers and teenagers). We also had local friends and family ranging from 7 - 45).

The pool had great safety gates for the little ones to keep them in or out. There was plenty of room with 2 dining areas and 2 eat-at bar areas.

We have vowed to make this an annual stay for our family. If you are interested in the things we were, We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property.

I really liked the house. It was spaceous and very clean.
The pool was alot of fun. The beds were comfortable.
There are quiet areas even when someone watches TV.
We had no trouble with the main road there. Close to the beach.
