A great apartment by the sea with a fab pool.

The apartment is the best in the complex. The children had a great time, the pool is super and lifeguards great to have there. The bar is handy, right outside the garden, staff friendly. The Mi Capricho restaurant just outside the complex was so convenient and food and service was excellent, as is the view, right on the beach looking out to sea. The apartment is safe and secure for toddlers and this is a really nice family place, there was quiet in the evenings and in the mornings. The description was accurate and the owner was really helpful, gave us information on local restauants and shops and good directions (pooly read by my mother!) We had a really fabulous time, perfect!

Apartment was all we could wish for. been to Calahonda many times, but this apartment is tops!. Nicole who met us was excellent, apartment was clean and fully equipped, dream view, a step off the beach, excellent security, (guard on duty at night), All you could wish for , for a great family holiday or a perfect getaway for two!
Highly recommended!

What can I say - we stayed in this apartment for one week in May/June 2009. I cannot fault it in anyway. So safe for the children and nice and quiet with no distractions. The pool complex is very well maintained and the grounds are kept meticulously.
The apartment itself is very spacious with all essentials down to the buckets and spades for the beach - very different from your typical package holiday apartment. The full facilities meant that we could stay at the apartment and not have to venture out to eat every night. The television with satellite channels was great at night time when the children were gone to bed. The apartment was spotless on arrival and Nicole who met us there was very pleasant and informative.
The location was perfect for us as it is very near the airport and also near to supermarkets, restaurants and ATM's. We bought lovely meat in the Irish Butchers across the road, McKennas and the supermarket had everything you would need.
I would highly recommend this apartment and dealing with Alan is so easy as he comes back very quickly with any information needed.
We intend to return to Mi Capricho next Summer and will have no hesitation in staying in this apartment again. Never again will I go on a package holiday.

I cannot say enough good things about this apartment. It is fantastic. It had everything that anyone would want, say from a tin opener to a hair-dryer!! It is a very well equipment apartment. The whole family enojoyed it thorougly. It is suitable for people of all ages. The garden is nice and private and the swimming pool is right outside the garden steps. Within a short distance there is access to the beach. The view from the inside is just gorgeous. In addition to all of this, the apartment was extremely clean and it was obvious it has been kept well.
Not to mention, Alan (the property owner) was really helpful in providing extra information and answering any queries I had. Nicole, who met us when we arrived at Mi Capricho, was also very friendly and she showed us around thoroughly.
In conclusion, an excellent apartment, perfect for a family holiday. I would definatly recommend it to anyone.

Great apartment in great loacation

I stayed at Mi Caprichio in August 2008 with my family and I have to say this apartment is in a perfect location. It is a corner ground floor apartment with a lovely little garden just 10 yards from the pool and cabana which serves drinks, snacks and ice creams all day long. The pool was so warm and so well maintained. There is a life guard there to control things so you never have to worry. We have 2 children (6&9) and they loved it. The sea and beach are only about 80 yards away through the community gate. You can sit out of an evening having a drink watching the moon shimmering on the sea and there are 2 chiringuitos within a short distance which both serve lovely food. I have stayed at lots of locations over the years but I have not stayed in one with such a great location. The apartment itself is very clean, very comfortable & fully air conditioned in each room. It has a nice well equipped kitchen and laundry room. Parking spaces right outside the front door. There are a wealth of local supermarkets, restaurants, golf courses (naturally) all within walking distance. Alan was great to deal with and Nicole who looks after you at the apartment was so friendly and couldnt do enough for us.
We will return!!!!!

We stayed at this apartment in May.although we have spent a considerable amount of time in this complex over the last couple of years, and at one point we owned our own apartment in Mi Capricho, this apartment is certainly in the best location there, it is as stated in a wonderful beachside location, with its own private garden and just down a few steps to a lovely large pool area, and very well maintained gardens, with views out to sea.
The apartment has 3 bedrooms, is spacious and very well well equipped,Nicole the managment agent was most helpful,and is always available to offer advice and help if required. The complex Mi Capricho is very well run by the Manager Aurora, there are lots of staff in the complex including 24 hour staff on duty, the gardens and both pools are beautifully maintained. This complex is located in a very convenient location for supermarkets, There are some really good restaurants close to Mi Capricho (my favourite being Le Chalet Swiss) in the village of Cala Honda .The local bus stop is at the top of the road,I found that although a car is not strictly needed, it is very useful. The lovely port of Cabofino is approx.10 minutes away from the complex, there are some really nice medium priced restaurants in the port. Overall the apartment and the complex was great, we will certainly recommend it to friends and family, and fully intend to book agaiin for next year.

We have been to Calahonda now for quite a few years and stayed in different apartments but this is by far the best of the best, location is fantastic with or without a car. The apartment is located perfectly by the pool and seafront and is equipped beautifully with everything that you will need to have a great holiday. In season there is a lovely pool cafe which is friendly and the trip from the airport is only 20 minutes. What more could you ask!!!! I am very fussy person but could not find any fault and definatley going back here next year.........thankyou Alan x

This is the second year running we have rented this apartment. The complex is very quiet & you would never know that you are close to a main road. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the apartment has a nice size garden with great views out to sea. There is everything you need in the apartment to live very comfortably and a large supermarket is less than five minutes walk away. Within a few minutes walk there are also many bars & restaurants. We have a two year old and it is all very safe. I guess if you want to venture out & about you may want to hire a car - we didn't as we stayed mainly on the complex although when we did go out & visit neighbouring towns we took a taxi or used the very good bus service. The owner is very easy to deal with and always responds to any requests very efficiently. The fact that we went back for a second time says how pleased we are and we plan to book again in 2009.
Don't visit before June.

We have just come back from 10 days holiday in this apartment. I think the description adequately reflects the property which was clean and well maintained and both the property owner and the agent Nicole provided good customer service and were very friendly and helpful. It is perfectly positioned on the beach and just across the road from numerous and varied restaurants. If I had one criticism it would be that this complex does not get fully up and running until June, the swimming pool was closed for our first day (until we complained), the pool bar not open at all and the gardeners were mowing, strimming, using very noisy hedge cutters and spreading manure every day in an effort they said to get the gardens ready for "the summer" this was very noisy (starts at 8.30am) and the manure led to a swarm of flies and a terrible smell that made sunbathing almost impossible, especially when you were unable to take loungers on the grass by the pool. Lastly, book late and wait for the special offers at half the price we paid.
Perfect for 2 weeks in May

We were a party of 2 adults and a 3 year old child and we stayed for 2 weeks in May.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. We requested a viewing of the 3 bed for future reference and the management company were happy to oblige. Both were very clean and similarly furnished to a higher standard than we have experienced on holiday before and are both on the ground floor.
The most attractive aspect of of this property for us with a young child was the ground floor location with easy access to the gardens and to the pool. It has its own private garden so it was great for our child who could play in safety and it had sun all day which my wife loved while I could sit in the shade on the terrace.
The pools are excellent, especially the larger one at the front and there are two nice kiddies pools.
The beach is directly accessible from the grounds but we rarely strayed from the poolside. There are a number of supermarkets over the road that sell everything you could need and also some good restaurants/ internet cafe, etc just over the footbridge which is just at entrance of complex (and not miles away as some can be). There is a bus service outide the complex to Fuengirola or Marbella and to the markets in La Cala but we didnt use it as we had hired a car.
The grounds and pool were immaculately kept. Indeed there seemed to be gardeners & maintenance people on site regularly, keeping the whole complex in superb condition and testing the water quality of the pools which was great to see.
The British TV channels were also a boon and good for the Champion's League final.
Overall I found the whole experience very easy and professional from booking to eventually checking out. We did have a problem with a broken bin in the kitchen but the management company replaced it immediately. I wholeheartedly recommend this property and hope to eventually go back.
