A Terrific Respite Stay

Suzanne & Roger Jacksonville, Fl
Review Submitted: September 7, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
My husband and I decided that although we wanted to have a "mini-vacation", it would serve us well to stay close to home and not spend a lot of time on the road. We wanted to get away from it all and feel as if we were in our own little world; this beach cottage gave us that. It was very easy to get in touch with and deal with the owner. The gift basket was a very nice welcoming touch. Although only my husband and I stayed here, you could tell from the furnishings that this cottage is an extremely family friendly vacation home.

Beyond Expectations

Hansons Minneapolis, MN
Review Submitted: May 12, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
The property exceeded our expectations from the start, especially after a long trip from MN the gift basket waiting for us of cheese, cookies and Italian soda hit the spot. The house was perfectly appointed for our family that included my parents, my wife and our 3mth old. Carolyn really does think of everything and the charming cottage was so quaint and comfortable we hated to leave after 10 days. If you have babies or young kids this place is so much better than staying at condo, hotel or resort, because the cottage ends up feeling like home. We'll be back!!

Pelican Pass is Amazing

Olga and Bud San Francisco
Review Submitted: February 26, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
My husband and I needed to go to Jacksonville last month and were thrilled we were able to again stay in Pelican Pass – this time for two weeks.

I can’t stress enough how lovely and restful this three bedroom home is – with the Atlantic Ocean outside your living room door. The home has everything you will need for a wonderful getaway; you won't want to leave.

We love the comfortable homey feel of Pelican Pass and will without a doubt return again on our next trip to Jacksonville. Olga and Bud.

A wonderful beach getaway

Bud and Olga San Francisco
Review Submitted: December 15, 2008 Date of Stay: January 2008
My husband and I stayed in this lovely cottage and look forward to returning there. This three bedroom, two bath cottage has everything you'll need for a comfortable stay - a fully equipped kitchen, a television in every room, towels, plenty of charm, and, most importantly, the beach right outside your living room door. It's a great place for couples on a romantic getaway or for couples with kids. It’s a 10-15 minute drive away from St. Augustine and, while the drive to Jacksonville was 40 minutes, we enjoyed the relaxed drive to and from, always looking forward to returning to our cottage by the beach. The location was perfect for us with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Guana River preserve on the other. We loved this place!

Great Family Geataway

funwithkids Louisburg, nc
Review Submitted: August 3, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2007
My wife's family is from this area and we decided to rent a house for a weekend during a trip for a wedding. As first time vacation home renters, we didn't know what to expect. We had a wonderful time. The beach is right there. You can sit in the living room and watch the waves. The kids toys were wonderful (three kids). We hosted lots of people and everyone was amazed at this place. Just a short drive to St. Augs for a little history. One think - don't forget anything at the grocery store; it's 15 minutes to the closest one.

Awesome Retreat

DiamondGirl Adairsville, Georgia USA
Review Submitted: June 3, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
When renting a vacation spot, you never know if your getting what you see on the net. But, This one had no
aweful surprises. It was beautiful. It was elegant, romantic,
and a wonderful place to relax from it all. The owner, Carolyn Woods added special touches to make you feel welcome. Pack your suite case with some fun relaxing clothes, add our tooth brush, and visit this beautiful cottage by the see.

Thank you Carolyn for a wonderful stay..
I have found my home away from home. Hope to see you next year about the same time..
