we have spent holidays in the South of France for the last forty years, first caravanning with a young family and later when they no longer wanted to go with us toured by car, always ending up in the south. We stayed in small hotels, pensions, and even a mobile home. Eventually we tired of the long drive, and with the advent of Easyjet, it was so easy to fly to Nice. We have always liked Cannes, and tried several hotels and appartments before discovering 10889 on the internet, and now there is no other choice The position is perfect- the view from the balcony is spectacular- there is no need for a car as the buses and trains are easy and frequent to many other resorts, -the concierge is very hepful when we arrive, and Chris and Bridget make booking the appartment so easy. We would recommend this appartment to anyone looking for five-star accomodation with everything provided for a perfect stay. We are looking forward to our next visit next June, and are already thinking about another later in the year

A superb experience! The sun continuously bathed the huge balcony with an incredible view of the coast in both directions. The beach was quite literally a stone's throw away and restaurants for the evening were even closer! Truly wonderful. Thank you so much!

FANTASTIC!!

Review Submitted: October 26, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We have been to Cannes several times before and this was our first visit to this apartment....we are now spoilt for anything else!! From the minute we made the booking to the day we left everything was fantastic. It is a beautiful modern apartment with everything you might need for a wonderful holiday. There is nothing quite like waking up in the morning and having a cup of tea in bed looking out over the bay then sitting on the balcony eating your breakfast. The main shops are a short walk away and there is a wide choice of local produce. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen which makes self catering a pleasure and to be able to eat on the balcony on a balmy evening is the icing on the cake!
We would highly recommend this apartment and are looking forward to going back in December/January for New Year.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in Oct 09. Beautiful studio apartment, fab location. It has everything you need and the views are great. The weather was really nice and Cannes itself is a beautiful, huge city. We find French people very helpful and friendly. The owner Chris provided excellent customer service. We would certainly recommend this property. Eve & Thomas

Amazing Apartment!

This was our 6th visit to the apartment in 4 years and we can't wait to return next year!

On first arrival, the blinds to the large glass sliding doors will be down but as they go up and you step onto the sunny balcony, the shimmering Riviera panorama will honestly take your breath away.

The spacious balcony is perfect for enjoying sunbathing, people watching and dining al fresco (croissants from the local boulangerie - 2 minute walk, and fantastic fresh food from the local market - 5 minute walk).

The apartment itself is modern, clean and very well-equipped, (dishwasher, washing machine, large flat screen TV, etc).

Location is ideal - a short skip down to the beach and within easy walk of a great selection of restaurants and shops - we recommend Aux Bons Enfants behind Bar Cristal near the Town Hall, and Midi Plage on the beach opposite the apartment for a leisurely lunch.

We have always found the owners friendly and professional when we have dealt with them and would definitely recommend the apartment for a relaxing holiday.

Superp holiday apartment

My wife and I had an excellent time in Cannes, mainly due to this
perfect holiday property. We were amazed how everything in this
apartment seemed to fit all our holiday needs exactly.
When we first opened the blinds, the view took our breath away.
You could easily do nothing else but sit and watch the spectacle of the beach, the sea, the street, the harbor, the restaurants....all visible from the balcony.
Absolutely recommendable !

Beautiful Apartment in Idyllic Location

The website description (Beautiful modern front-line studio apartment with stunning sea views) sums up this apartment perfectly. It was recommended to us by friends who had stayed there the previous year. Their description was absolutely glowing so when we first arrived our expectations were high. We certainly were not disappointed! We arrived on a beautifully sunny October morning and could not believe it when the concierge opened up the shutters. The apartment was bright, clean and airy and the view from the balcony was really spectacular. Even now, at the end of a particularly drab and dismal Irish summer, it is uplifting just to look at our photographs of the clear, blue Mediterranean, taken from the balcony. We ate breakfast on the balcony every morning with delicious croissants from the boulangerie just outside the apartment building. With regard to restaurants, we were absolutely spoilt for choice with so many excellent places within 5-10 minutes walking distance. In particular, we really enjoyed dinner with friends at Auberge de Provence which (I think!) is the oldest restaurant in Cannes. In addition to the designer shops, beach, harbour, restaurants, etc within the town itself, we found Cannes to be an excellent base from which to explore other areas in the region including Grasse, Monte Carlo, St Tropez, Eze and St-Paul de Vence.

We have already stayed 3 times in the apartment. During our first 2 visits we had the use of a hired car but found, on our last visit, that it was not really necessary as there are excellent bus and rail services to all of the main towns. The bus station is less than a 5-minute walk from the apartment while the train station is about a 10-minute walk. We also spent 2 leisurely days walking on the nearby islands of Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat (each about a 15-minute boat trip from Cannes).

The apartment is very clean and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of DVDs in case of inclement weather! We would certainly have no hesitation in recommending it.

We live in the French Alps and needed to have a break from wall to wall snow. It was the perfect solution, wonderful views of the sea and beach area, with excellent restaurants close by.We took advantage of the easy walking along the beach and into the town and didn't use our car all week.We prefer moderate temperatures so being able to enjoy strolling around comfortably during the day was perfect for us.
The apartment was in first class condition throughout with everything we needed.

Fantastic apartment, great location

Had an excellent experience of Cannes staying in this apartment. It is very modern, has all the facilities you could need and the balcony is the icing on the cake, its big enough for you and friends to sit out on, have dinner or just relax in the sun loungers while enjoying the panoramic view of the bay.

The apartment is just outside the centre of Cannes, a sub- five minute walk from the restaurants, casinos and sights of the town, but is sheltered from the noise and business of the main strip. Getting to the beach means just crossing the road and there are a number of local shops within a minute's walk for groceries etc.

All in all we couldn't have asked for a better place, it was affordable but offered everything you could want from a holiday apartment with style and convenience.
