We had such a great time at the villa two weeks ago. We had great weather, food and saw so many cool fish at the dock. We rented a boat for the day with Lydia's friend Benu, and ate at Puck's restaurant. Saw and did so many new things, I could not get to write in the journal but would like to email you this entry. Thank you so much and we are ready to get our reservation in for next year we had so much fun and great weather. My kids snorkeled twice a day maybe more at your cove, The Baths, Spring Bay, The Caves, Indians, Wreck of the Rhone, and others. The pool was awesome and the sunsets, sunrises and stars unbelievable.
Thank you for helping us experience this incredible place.

Well, vacation is over and we are all back to work watching the snow fall out side. I just wanted to let you know that despite our travel issues and early generator training session, everything quickly fell into place after a late night dip in the pool, a few beers and a good night sleep. The villa and the island were perfect. Everyone had a great time. After plenty of snorkeling trips all around the island, my son and I came to the conclusion that the best spot was about 30 yards to the left of the dock and around the point. What a great spot!

We all look forward to getting back to the island again and decided the next time would be a sailing trip (once the twins get a little older). We will keep Reef Song in mind for that one. In the meantime, South Sound Villa will surely be getting some word-of-mouth advertising in the Boston area.

At the beginning of December I celebrated my 50th birthday at the South Sound Villa with 8 other women. The villa and it's views are unbelievable. The outside setting has water on three sides, flowers in bloom everywhere, and an almost guaranteed daily afternoon rainbow. The inside is beautiful, spacious and offers just about everything you need. It is worth every penny! The island of Virgin Gorda is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The island people are very friendly and accomodating. This place is a must to see.

We were on Virgin Gorda in the first week of December. The villa was wonderful. It is fully equipped with everything you need. Wait until you survey the villa before you make a grocery run, there will be lots of left overs from previous guests. Also be prepared for the high food costs. Food is around 2 1/2 to 3 times as much as here in Dallas.

We loved the seclusion and privacy we had at South Sound. We rarely left the villa. In December be prepared for the wind. It was very strong and almost constant. At other times of the year it is less strong. The pool was to cold to get in but the ocean water was a great temprature. We snorkeled right off the dock without difficulty. There was snorkel gear at the villa but Mr. Cook recommends getting your own and I would second that. It will fit better and you will have a better experience.

The boat was a lot of fun. We putted around the bay quite a bit and spent a good bit of time exploring around Hurrican Hole.

We lost power on our first night for about 6 hours so be prepared with the generator as soon as you arrive. The power company came out and worked until 11:30 at night to repair it. There were very dedicated to come out at that time.

All in all we will definately be going back to South Sound whenever we can.

Paradise on Earth! - Wow, Wow, Wow. The pink house was more than I could have imagined for our family and guests/friends. The photos on the website do not truly show what a perfect location and hideaway this special place is... We just spent 10 days celebrating my hubby's 50th B'Day with 5 couples /closest friends who had surprised him and had never been to the BVI or VG. What can I say was the highlight?.... was it the sunrises, the beautiful water views, the snorkeling right off the dock... the charm of opening the cattle gate and closing it, the pelicans swooping so close to the balcony, the rum? The house is large enough that we all had our own space and enough hideaways that you could have privacy and peace and quite. House is very well appointed (just open a drawer or cabinet and it's probably there) and well laid out. Dale George at Unique Events helped to make the week special by provisioning the house for our arrival after a hard, long day of missed flights/travel. I would suggest arranging this as travel to VG has a tendency to get "mixed" up. She also arranged a chef and a band to help celebrate the birthday bash.... We did not want to leave - ever and my friends and I are going thru culture shock and withdrawal upon our return to reality from our week in heaven on earth.. loved Virgin Gorda and are trying to plan our return again and again...

WOW -this is the simplest way to describe our celebration of a 50 th birthday party in Paradise.

I am a Disney World person---to be able to share the time at South Sound Villa with good friends has been the highlight of my 52 years of life.
(don't tell the wife this surpasses the honeymoom lol)

Our group of 12 stayed at South Sound Villa for a week in February. If you are looking for seclusion this is the place! Great views and a consistent breeze is part of the package. The dirt/rock lane to get to the villa is about a mile long with a cattle gate to open/close in the middle. Accomodations for up to 12 are great! The only negative was we planned on using the dive gear from the villa so that we did not have to bring our own. It is "well used" and you should go ahead and bring your own. Denis (gardener) can hook you up with days trips to anywhere. If I rent a villa on Virgin Gorda SSV is where I will stay. Traveler Trip: The Baths, follow the trail all the way to Devils Bay for a great beach. Devils bay can also be accessed from the same parking lot from a different, easier trail.

My husband and I spent a magical week at the South Sound Villa over Thanksgiving. This is the most beautiful, well-equipped villa one could ever dream of -- wonderful accommodations, fantastic views, terrific snorkeling and a very private location. We highly recommend this villa and will certainly stay there again.

South Sound Villa was great!!! It made our honeymoon VERY special. The seclusion of SSV with plenty to do at the villa and close by was just what we were looking for. Beautiful sunrises, great snorkeling in the back yard, and plenty of bushwhackers filled our time on Virgin Gorda. Thorsten was great to work with throughout the efficient rental process as well. I highly and confidently recommend SSV.

The house was absolutely lovely - bright, spacious, comfortable, and secluded. We had a wonderful time, both exploring the island's beaches, restaraunts, and shops, as well as enjoying the numerous sun porches, amazing snorkeling, and refreshing pool at the house. It was an amazing vacation, and I can't wait to go back.
