Great for a a Family Break or Quiet Getaway

This property has all the ingredients needed for a good family vacation or a quiet getaway for two. The house is well-designed, solidly built, and tastefully furnished. A big, open-plan kitchen flows into a dining area and living room, so if you're working in the kitchen, you're still into a conversation unfolding in the living room. There's a spacious master bedroom and bath downstairs and three other smaller bedrooms and large bath upstairs--all carpeted, functional and well-decorated. The house has 300-plus channels of Direct TV, a DVD player with about 30 films. There's a full bookcase holding a variety of books from guidebooks to novels, board games, puzzles and cards. And that's just indoors. Outside is, well,...West Virginia. It's a three minute walk to the Cacapon River and decent fishing (although there's better fishing half a mile away). There are many other walks and rides to surrounding areas. Although there are other houses in the area, it's quiet and remote. We feed the deer in the evening and hope not to run into a bear at night. If you forget milk, you're about six miles to the nearest village grocery store and about twice that to a real supermarket. We've been here all seasons of the year, often to simply regroup as a family. We've always left feeling like we can't wait to come again.
