Wonderful Apartment

Dave1903 Edinburgh, Scotland
Review Submitted: October 2, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Had a wonderful stay in this penthouse apartment. The pictures do not do it justice, there is loads of room and the views are spectacular. Take time to go up to the roof terrace which was usually very quiet.
The apartment is in a great and safe location with many good restaurants within walking distance and you can also walk up to Broadway and Times Square.
There are also nice touches such as money left on the laundry card, coffee and a beer in the fridge. There are restaurant guides and takeaway menus which are also very useful.
I find that New York hotels are very small and expensive and it was so nice to come home to somewhere that felt like home after a hard day exploring. The bed is so comfy and the apartment so quiet that you will get a good nights sleep and be ready for the next day.
Ayaka and her husband were great to deal with, her husband was waiting in the flat when I arrived and really made me feel welcome. It felt exactly like you were someone's guests rather than the impersonal feel you get in hotels. We were also a bit worried about fraud as we had heard of this happening on Craigslist so it was a big relief that Ayaka was as professional as she was and we had a lovely apartment booked with no worries that we were being ripped off.
I would recommend booking this aprtment, you will not regret it.

NYC Summer Vacation

Review Submitted: June 9, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great view in a very safe and friendly area. It is everything they advertise. They provide everything you could possibly need and Ayaka was great. She met us to let us in and suggested we call anytime with any questions. Everything is a relatively short walk away. There are restaurants and duane reed markets very near by. When we get the opportunity to visit again this will be our first choice of place to stay!

New Year 2008/9

Lorraine 25 London
Review Submitted: January 7, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
The apartment was everything the owner described, clean, well stocked and well maintained. The view is literally incredible, and the view from the roof even better. We spent New Years Eve there, and even managed to see the ball drop in the distance, without having to wait for hours in a freezing cold Times Sq! The location is also brilliant - a short walk takes you to Columbus Circle, where you can jump on the subway further into the city. 8th and 9th Avenues are a stones throw and have many great restaurants. In our opinion, nothing was difficult to get to, the midtown location makes pretty much everything accessible. The owners were friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. We loved our time there, and we hope to go back!

Fantastic Choice!

Don't hesitate to book this property! We just returned from 9 nights, and enjoyed every moment. This convenient mid-town apartment is completely stocked with everything you would need (iron and board, tons of towels and sheets, all cleaning supplies, umbrellas, even coffee and lots of teas!).....DVD with movies, full cable TV, free wireless internet, and free long distance phone to US and Canada.
The doormen were courteous, plus there is a washer and dryer on the floor just past the elevators (prepaid with cards left in the apartment).....
And the best part, one quick flight of stairs up, and you have a huge roof terrace with tables, chairs, loungers, even grass.....usually all to yourself. Spectacular!
Taxis and buses are easy just out the door, and the subway is 3 blocks.
No complaints whatsoever!!!!!!
West 57th by the river is much more quiet than a Times Square address. Feels much more "neighborhood". There are great restaurants within walking distance (Thai, Indian, Italian, American Comfort, Sushi, French), and there are many menus provided in the apartment for delivery service. And Whole Foods at Time Warner Center has a Salad / Food Bar that is out of this world!!
We used the valet cleaners off of the lobby, they did a great job overnight.
The owner certainly has taken the wishes of her guests to heart. I felt at home, from the moment we were personally greeted in the apartment by the managing team.
Well-priced vs. a hotel, if I were you, I'd book now!
Go ahead, what are you waiting for??????

We stayed in this apparment from 09/23/08 till 09/30/2008, really a great time. Appartment has a perfect view (better than in the pictures) and is confortable and very well located, near south of central park and there is a subway station 5 min away.
Contact people are friendly and we had no problem at all.
We would stay again in this appartment and we have already recommend it to friends.
Hope you also have a great time if you stay in it.

New York Apartment Review - July 2008 (Heatwave!)

The Eager Eagles Surrey, England
Review Submitted: September 9, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
We stayed in this apartment for 10 days in July 2008. We found it very smart, very clean and well equipped. We were met at the apartment and were provided with contact numbers if we had any problems or queries. The concierge personnel were all very polite, friendly and helpful. The view from the apartment is amazing and the rooftop garden is an excellent resource. The apartment is well located with a coffee bar at ground floor level by the entrance and a restaurant on the corner of West 52nd and 10th. A five minute walk northwards up 10th Avenue takes you to a well stocked grocery store. A further 20 minute walk gets you to Central Park and the Dakota Building (where John Lennon lived) and opposite the Imagine mosaic. A 20-25 minute walk eastwards takes you to Times Square, the port authority bus terminal and Rockefeller, Radio City Hall etc. Going south you can access the subway system. Going west from the apartment and you quickly reach The Hudson. Walking south down 12th Avenue you can get a Helicopter Flight at West 30th (we flew with Zip - they were fab!) also from West 42nd you can ride The Beast speedboat (great fun!). You can grab a yellow cab or use the subway to get down to Ground Zero (go to the little church opposite called St Paul’s Chapel), Wall Street, Chinatown, Greenwich Village etc. At Battery Park at the southern most tip you can take the Staten Island Ferry for FREE (if you fancy a break from the hustle & bustle of Manhattan, Staten Island is for you. Get round to Snug Harbour). Brooklyn Bridge is also worth seeing, as is The Empire State and The Chrysler Building. Off Broadway there are some wonderful fringe shows - check out Monday Night Magic at The Bleecker Street Theatre, 45 Bleecker Street, Greenwich. If you are down that way go to Katz Deli (famous for the When Harry Met Sally scene) that’s at 205, East Houston Street, Lower East Side. Shopping at Bloomingdales is at 59th Street (try their little cafe called 40 Carrots) and Macy's is at 34th Street and Broadway. Also well worth going to is Grand Central Terminal at East 42nd at Park Avenue. All in all we had a fantastic time. There were 4 of us, Mum, Dad, Son (18) & Daughter (17) and it was a wonderful, memorable holiday. We found the New Yorker's to be genuinely helpful and interested in us and we were made to feel really welcome. We would definitely stay in this apartment again and have already recommended it to friends. Hope you found this review helpful. Have a nice day!

Fantastic apartment

Lz Reading, England
Review Submitted: January 18, 2008 Date of Stay: December 2007
I stayed in this apartment in December 2007. The view's are even better than the pictures here show. This is a real 'wow' factor. Very modern apartment with everything that you would need. The apartment has a roof terrace and you can just see the empire state building. There is a small shop in the reception area. Walking distance to Times Square (15 minutes), only 5 minutes from central park. Owner very friendly and met us at apartment on arrival. Loved every minute of my stay, have already recommended to family and friends.
