A great base for exploring Cote D'Azur. Sept 08

Date of Stay: August 2008
We spent a terrific week here with our 2 adult teenagers in September 2008 to chill out following a week in the centre of Cannes. It was exactly what we hoped it would be and pretty much as described.
Apartment was really impressive, with 3 large en-suite bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and spacious sitting room. Balconies were also good with main one having a dining table and catching the morning sun with a further one accessed through 2 of the bedrooms catching the afternoon sun.
Everything was exceptionally clean and high quality although keeping it this way might be uncomfortable with young kids.
Location is beautiful and very quiet but by car it is only 5 minutes from Mandelieu and 10 minutes from Cannes. Only the golf course and clubhouse are within walking distance so unless you are content to read by the pool and cook all your own meals, it would be difficult here without a car.
Golf course provided a lovely outlook but didn't inspire me to play. Good for holiday golf but might disappoint if you are looking for a serious golfing holiday.
Apartment is fairly new and well maintained and key facilities such as air conditioning and showers were of a very high standard as were the many appliances. Sky television is available although the number of channels subscribed to is limited. No wifi available although if you are desperate, this is available at the enormous Geant supermarket which is only 5 minutes away (by car naturally!).
Owner obviously stays here regularly and has created a diary of his and others visits to attractions and restaurants, which was really useful. Also has the apartment furnished with the essentials of easy living that if missing can make life in a rented property difficult e.g. bath towels, beach towels, dvd's, books, corkscrew, dishwasher tablets etc.
Communication with the owner was very effective. He emailed and telephoned promptly to respond to queries. Documentation was comprehensive and on-site support also effective.
Cannes and St Tropez are musts for day trips although be warned that in keeping with the whole area they are expensive and driving and parking are trying even for the experienced!
Dozens of good restaurants to suit every taste all over Cannes and throughout the surrounding area.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone looking for high quality, peaceful space and who is prepared to drive to find their food and entertainment.
Owner's Response: Full wifi broadband internet and email access has recently been installed and is available free of charge to all guests.
