Lovely Private Villa

We were looking for a villa with a private boundary and found it in Casa Ramaje. After receiving superb directions from Juliette, we were met at the villa by Sid (the Agent), who was very helpful and funny.
The villa is lovely, in a very quiet residential road, just a short walk to a small supermarket (English) and a Swiss restaurant (very friendly and good food). There were inflatables for the pool and plenty of seating/sunbeds. The pool area catches the sun all day until you feel like heading out for dinner, and there are two additional tables with chairs around the side of the house to get away from the hubbub around the pool.
The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment and - hooray! - the beds are comfortable: the best we've ever slept in at a villa!
We loved the large walk-in shower, and the en-suite meant it didn't get too congested before going out in the evening - even with two teenage girls!
There are two beaches closer than Arenal - not really within walking distance though - Ambolo (naturist, although we saw people in shorts etc, with a long flight of steps down and no facilities - and no shade until later in the afternoon) and Granadella (which has a nice bar).
The Arenal has the nightlife, with plenty of restaurants and boutique-y shops, and there are stalls interspersed between the runs of eateries some evenings, selling mainly jewellery. You may well be accosted by sellers of sunglasses and roses while you eat, although they DO take no for an answer. Also, the Spanish don't appear to have heard of the smoking ban in restaurants and there are no designated areas set aside for those who don't indulge (the only downside to eating out, we found). Parking is plentiful and easy, and even when we visited the market at Moraira we found you didn't have to pay!
We had the most relaxing holiday in perfect weather and a really lovely villa, and look forward to returning to Casa Ramaje in the future. Our thanks to Juliette and Martin for sharing their lovely hideaway with us.

We had a wonderful stay and have recommended the villa to all our friends and family. We wanted to be able to relax and that is exactly what we did. I don't know whether it was due to the time of year that we visited (September) but the neighbourhood was extremely quiet and we were able to sit by the pool and read undisturbed. It was a real treat. The local shops and restaurants were very good and we can't wait to visit again.
We have stayed in many villas and I can honestly say that this is the first one that I have been able to sleep soundly and feel totally secure in from the first evening.
We look forward to returning very soon. Thank you Juliette and Martin for a lovely villa and a simple booking/payment system.

Nous sommes une famille de quatre, deux adultes et deux adolescents, et revenons d'un séjour de trois semaines ã la villa ramage. Nous y avons séjourne du 25/07/2009 au 15/08/2009, période assez calme jusqu’à fin juillet, ensuite beaucoup de vacanciers espagnols. La villa était comme nous l'avions imagine et correspond exactement aux nombreuses photos que nous avions vues. Elle est très calme, très spacieuse, d’un grand confort, et surtout munie de divers accessoires concernant la cuisine (ce qui est assez rare en Espagne!) Nous avons profite du barbecue presque tous les jours et avons dégusté d'excellents poissons. Juliette a été très prévenante, elle nous a très bien renseignée sur la maison, sur les visites ã faire aux alentours et sur l'itinéraire pour nous rendre ã la villa. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par la diversité des plages ou criques qui nous entouraient. Notre agent SID, nous a bien accueillit, il s'occupe de l'entretient de la piscine, du jardin et d'autres problèmes en cas de besoin. Le linge de maison a été changé une fois par semaine (draps, serviettes de bain et torchons).la climatisation est très utile dans cette région, mais nous n'avons pas trop souffert de la chaleur car il y a beaucoup de vent. C'est une maison que nous conseillons a des personnes comme nous qui aimons le calme, loin des centres touristiques bondes en cette saison, par contre il faut un véhicule car les plages ne sont pas a cote. La maison peut facilement accepter 6 a 7 personnes et tout est prévu pour les tout petits. Bonnes vacances tous ceux qui veulent passer un bon séjour

What a fabulous villa! It was beautifully clean and well maintained, and extremely well equipped in all areas. The pool was a particular favourite with all of us and again, was extremely well maintained by Sid! The pool size was perfect for a family of 5 like us and we had lots of fun cooling off in it! The garden area was well kept and a good size. The villa was in a quiet location yet close to all facilities and only a short drive to the beach. The variety of restaurants was excellent and service of a high standard in all the ones that we visited. We enjoyed the watersports down at Arenal, where the beach was clean and the sea clear and safe for the children. We visited the waterfalls at Algar one day which was great fun for older children and adults. Overall, we had one of the best holidays that we have ever had - we have visited Spain many times and stayed in many villas and this has to be one we will put at the top of the list. Thank you for providing us with such a beautiful place to spend our precious summer holidays.

Casa Ramaje exceeded our expectations. It is in the Costa Nova area of Javea, close to amenities, with a mini market nearby for those scrumptious early morning baguettes! The villa itself has everything one could need for a relaxing stress-free holiday. The pool receives all day sunshine and provides total privacy. Everything one would require for the perfect holiday is provided in Casa Ramaje. Books, videos, dvds are all amply provided for family entertainment. The villa is a self-contained paradise! It is safe, secure and perfectly located. Villas of this quality for a family holiday are hard to find. This one is a real gem.

Wer einen entspannten und ruhigen Urlaub verbringen will sollte diese Villa buchen. Diese Villa ist wirklich sehr gut ausgestattet. Angefangen von der Küche bis hin zum Spielzeug. Das Haus ist innen in einem sehr guten Zustand und wirklich sauber. Der Pool und die Aussenanlage sind super gepflegt. Wir haben viele schöne Stunden auf der Terrasse am Pool verbracht, übrigens Schwimmnudeln, Schwimmflügel, Strandschirme etc. sind vorhanden. Der große Zitronenbaum im Garten hat uns reichlich Zitronen für Limonade geliefert. Die Umgebung liefert reichlich schöne Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, die in einem Ordner in der Villa festgehalten sind (mit Anfahrtsbeschreibungen).
Dieses Haus kann ich besonders jeder Familie mit kleineren Kindern empfehlen, da die Spielzeugausstattung super ist. Zum Strand in Javea ist es nicht weit mit dem Auto, wobei uns persönlich der in Moreira besser gefallen hat.

This was the first time we had taken our two girls (9 months and 3 years old) abroad together so we were a little apprehensive! Fortuntately we needn't have worried and we had an amazing time.
Prior to departure, Juliette and Martin were really helpful, answering all our queries and arranging some special requests for us.
Once in Spain, the easy to follow directions from the airport and meet/greet at the Villa got us off to a great start. The place felt like home right from the time we arrived and everything we needed seemed to be somewhere in a cupboard. This was particularly the case with childrens toys, pool/beach toys, books and dvds. We couldnt ask for more.
The pool and grounds were clean and tidy and the furniture ample for our needs. The surroundings were quiet and the area had a nice feel to it.
Away from the villa, the recommended beaches and restauarants were of a high standard and reasonably priced despite the exchange rate.
The first thing we did on our return was to book for next year!

We had a fabulous time at this villa. The gardens were stunning and the pool was fab. There was everything that we could wish for inside the villa and the decor was lovely. The whole holiday was very relaxing and enjoyable

We spent the month of January 2009 at Casa Ramaje. It fulfilled all our expectations and the description of it are totally accurate. It is made very clear what the rental cost covers (ie amount of gas for central heating) and this saves any problems or extra charges at the end of your stay. There were just the two of us but with three bedrooms and ample seating everywhere the villa would also suit a family or friends. It is located in a quiet residential area, offered secure off street parking for our own car; is within walking distance to the local shop (selling fresh bread daily) and also three very good restaurants. The surrounding area is very green with lots of mature trees and the garden of the villa has many areas for just sitting about. We particularly enjoyed the enclosed naya, as even with some wind you are totally protected and can enjoy the sunny days. There are many good walks locally to the Miradors which give stunning views along the coast. Within a 10 minute drive you are in Javea town with excellent supermarkets offering a good range of food including fresh fish to die for, making it so easy to cook meals in the well equipped kitchen of the villa. The presence of local agents who were easy to contact was a bonus, although we had no reason to call on them. We had an excellent months holiday and would hope to return.

My family have just returned from a wonderful holiday at this villa. It is clean, bright , has beautiful gardens and fabulous pool. We were especially delighted with how well equipped it is for children. We have 4 and the youngest is 1. There was everything provided to make life easier including cot, highchair, portable highchair,DVD's , board games, baby and kid's toys, kid's TV channels,buckets and spades... I could go on!
Our flight arrived in the evening so it was quite late by the time we arrived at the villa and the shops were shut therefore the welcome pack was a real help.
The villa is in a lovely quiet spot and is very private and secure. There are a couple of shops within walking distance and a larger supermarket just a very short car journey away.We enjoyed eating out at various restaurants but as the kitchen is so very well equipped it makes eating at home nice and easy.We had a really restful and enjoyable holiday and we hope to return again.
