Andalucian Gem

From the moment we arrived at Villa Brendavera we felt totally relaxed and secure in the knowledge that Boz and Polly could be contacted at any time for assistance and information.

The villa was exactly as described and also spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Although the property has all modern conveniences, it also has delightful rustic charm. The terrace, gardens, and pool area are beautiful and they have the benefit of full sunshine throughout the day. The outdoor kitchen even has a fridge and is ideal for those who like to bbq. Having Sky TV kept us in touch with the outside world. We really appreciated the spectacular views from the villa and enjoyed having an evening meal in the garden room conservatory while watching the sun set over the mountains.

Frigiliana, a 10 minute drive, must be one of the most beautiful white villages in Andalucia. It has many good quality craft and gift shops, food stores and restaurants. The locals are very kind and friendly.

Nerja is a delightful seaside resort with an amazing coastline and is only a 20 minute drive from the villa. Although the villa is in a rural location, the coastal motorway is only a 15 minute drive away, making travel to more distant destinations very accessible.

We would definitely recommend this villa for those who enjoy walking, sightseeing, outdoor pursuits and relaxing in peaceful surroundings.

The friendliness and helpfulness of Boz and Polly also made this a very special holiday and we would like to return in the future.

Villa Brendavera is everything the owners claim - and more!

Situated in an elevated position among the foothills of the Sierra Almijara National Park, it provides wonderful views of the surrounding hills and down to the Mediterranean.

For those who like walking the area provides plenty of rugged and challenging walks. A car is essential for while the villa is only 20 minutes from the sea at Nerha and 10 minutes from the beautiful village of Frigiliana, the roads are steep and winding in places.

Polly and Boz who manage the villa are on the end of the phone at all times to provide help and information and were particularly helpful to us regarding flexibility of departure time, because of our late flight.

For those who want a relaxing holiday we would definately recommend this villa!

FABULOUS HILLSIDE RETREAT

Review Submitted: April 15, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
Brendavera is certainly not to be missed! We have enjoyed several wonderful holidays, each one better than the last. If you are looking for peace and quiet with magical views, a restful atmosphere, the ability to just take a relaxing swim in the ample swimming pool, followed by a soak of the sun on the terrace, with a glass or two or even three!! The outside cooking kitchen will fullfill all your bbq needs. In the evening you can relax in the sun lounge with it's stylish folding patio doors, which can be fully opened to give maximum access & views of the surrounding hillside, followed by a sound night's sleep in the comfortable bedrooms. The villa is exceptionally clean with very high standards & all you require to suit your needs. A drive back down the hillside to the village of Frigiliana where you can enjoy a selection of excellent classy restaurants & bars plus shops & supermarkets selling local produce is a must. The busy town of Nerja is also a wonderful place to sit & enjoy a coffee in the typical Andalucian atmosphere and if you prefer the beach is only a stones throw away. Boz & Polly are a great couple & always available should there be any question or problem. We can thoroughly recommend this villa!!!

Very nice villa, very well maintained. All necessary infrastructure available (and working). Very clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Nice fire place inside and outside (BBQ). Nice swimming pool. Ideal for people who want to drop their anchor for a week in a non-touristic environment. Boz and Polly are very friendly and always available for any question or problem.
Perfect location, nice in the mountains and close to a small village Frigilana where you can buy all necessary smaller needs and go out for a nice diner in the restaurants and bars. Again, not to touristic, which was very important for us.
Also not to far away from Nerja, where you have the availability of supermarkets and any other "city needs". And only 45 minutes away from Malaga airmport.
In brief, we had a very good time at the villa and will certainly consider to come back again in the future.
Cheers

Beautifully located villa

We had a wonderful two weeks stay at BrendaVera Villa. The location is in the hills, and once you get used to the road (hardly any traffic) it is no problem to get too. The hillside location means that you can sit at the villa and have the most wonderful views, for which you never get bored. The villa is very well equipped with every home touch you can think of. A car is a must, but you are only 10 mins from Frigliana, or 20 from Nerja! A perfect get away if you enjoy peach and quiet and your own space to relax. We would love to go back very soon.

Wonderful Holiday Accommodation!!!

The spectacular views and beautiful surroundings make every minute of your journey to the villa worthwhile. Built high on a sunny slope with stunning views to the surrounding mountains and mediterranean far below, the villa is nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The terraces and gardens are neat and pretty, and there's plenty of space to be on your own should you need to just soak up the atmosphere alone. It has an authentic feel but remains modern and spacious, and is decorated to a good standard. We had a wonderful stay at the villa, due partly to the knowledgeable and friendly owners, but mostly because we found the whole place so relaxing. You need a car to get around the area, but there's plenty within 10 or 15 minutes drive to keep you eating, drinking and shopping well for at least a week or two. It's brilliant value compared to apartments in neighboring resorts, in fact we couldn't believe the standard of accommodation for the price we paid. Our "quick week in the sun" definitely turned into something more special!

We have stayed at this fantastic villa on a number of occasions and have throughly enjoyed our stay. The villa is beautifully maintained to a very high standard with everything you need for a comfortable holiday. You can enjoy wonderful views of the hills and the coastline, there is an excellent pool and terrace with BBQ facilities and loungers. The quaint village of Frigiliana and town of Nerja are not too far away with plenty of lovely shops and restaurants. We would definately recommend BrendaVera for its wonderfully quiet and peaceful location.

Believe the details provided! Villa BrendaVera is a lovely, well maintained villa with everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The views are stunning and watch our for the farmer taking his goats out in the evening! The drive to the villa takes a bit of getting used to, but the privacy offered is well worth it. You will be met by Boz, and he and his wife Polly are on hand to help throughout your stay. Frigiliana and nearby Nerja are lovely and have good shops and many good quality restaurants. We highly recommend this villa and look forward to returning.

The property is of a very high standard. It is positoned with wonderful views towards the coast line. The pool is of an excellent size.
It is the ideal location for a quiet peaceful holiday but within reach of the beautiful village of Figiliana and the busy town of Nerja and the beaches.
I would certainly recommend it to a friend and in fact I have.

A lovely villa in an absolutely fabulous remote and private location with stunning views. We thought the photos on the website were good, but they did not do the villa or the views justice! The villa was clean, well maintained and well equipped and Boz and Polly were really nice people to deal with, not least of all meeting us at 11.30p.m. to lead us to the villa (believe me, very necessary)!
Do not go here if you want nightlife or swarms of people around you. If you want a quiet, peaceful holiday away from it all, you will be hard pressed to find a better place to stay.
