Could Not Be Better

Review Submitted: July 25, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2008
We spent a delightful week here last September and we can heartily recommend it to anyone who wishes to enjoy and explore this corner of France.
Sigrid and Robert are warm and friendly hosts and strike the perfect balance between allowing their guests all the privacy they wish and being on-hand to offer advice.
The villa is in a quiet location and the accommodation is extremely comfortable with the swimming pool extremely welcome after a day’s sight seeing.
While we were there, we took day-trips to les Baux de Provence (highly recommended), the Camargue, Arles, and St-Remy.
We can recommend all of the above and it will not take you too long to realise that you are in Vincent Van Gogh territory.
Paradou itself is delightful and there are bicycles for local excursions and shopping.
You have the choice between eating out (there is a fine restaurant just across the road, and a number of restaurants just down the road in Mausanne) or self-catering in the shared cooking/eating area.
We did both, but each day started with a wonderful breakfast prepared by Sigrid.
In short, Sigrid and Robert have a beautiful home which they are happy to share with their visitors in a way that combines the advantages of self-catering with communal living within a family ambience.
We hope to return and we would thoroughly recommend this to any couple who wish to have both a relaxing and yet stimulating holiday

Paraiso Provençal

John, Silvia, Edu & Livia Staefa, Switzerland
Review Submitted: May 31, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We had the most wonderful stay at this Provençal Mas. It’s our first holidays alone as a family and the kids enjoyed it. Sigrid and Robert were gracious hosts and catered to our every need. The whole property – 17th century stonehouse, room, pool and garden – has plenty of charm and character. A delightful surprise awaits you for breakfast to help kick start your day. Indeed, Les Alpilles valley is one of Provence’s hidden gems and this Mas is right at the heart of it. We shall return.

Vacanza indimenticabile!

Piero e Paola Crespina (Pisa) - Italy
Review Submitted: January 22, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2008

The Best

Review Submitted: August 27, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
We have returned this year to this wonderful Bed and breakfast in Provence, at the Mas de Meindray,
where Sigrid and Robert again spoiled us immensely.
We loved the wonderful surroundings both inside and out, but we especially loved the hosts who treated us as honoured guests. They are interested in you and willingly make suggestions as to sights, activities and history which can enhance your stay.
Breakfast with Sigrid's confiture and fresh fruit from the garden each morning - memorable!
We were totally spoilt!!!
Hopefully we shall visit again and again, soon!

A Dream Holiday in Paradou

Michele and Larry St. Albert, Canada
Review Submitted: August 10, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2007
This has to be one of the most beautiful places to stay in all of Provence. Our hosts, Sigrid and Robert, were absolutely delightful and attended to all our needs and requests in a gracious and caring way. Our room was well appointed and exceptionally comfortable and the pool was truly the very best we have ever experienced. There are many local places to explore, a number of fine restaurants to enjoy and lots of activities in which to participate. Arles and Avignon are close by and worth several visits. We returned for a second summer and will make this a destination for many years to come. Although it is a perfect little secret to keep for oneself only, I know a stay at the Mas would make anyone's holiday as nice as our own have been!

Paradise in Paradou

DAH Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Review Submitted: July 28, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
The charm and character of this property, and it's owners, welcomes you to paradise. The unique stone crafted pool, patio under the pergola, outside kitchen, well maintained gardens, and beautiful 17th century restored rooms, makes your stay an exceptional experience. The hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and helpful in planning your tours. You can relax and enjoy your stay because Sigrid ensures that everything is taken care of. The breakfasts alone start your day off perfectly. This property is in the heart of the Alpilles and is close to every major sight seeing attraction. Don't miss an experience of a life time!
We will be back!

Wow!

Cheesehead Amsterdam
Review Submitted: June 12, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2007
For peace and quiet within easy reach of many sights it would be hard to beat this place (car is required). The pool is fabulous and our room was enormous and beautiful. Breakfast under the vines served by the extremely characterful, friendly and attentive hosts. I'm loathed to praise it any further for risk of it always being full in the future.

We've booked again this year. Enough said!

Sonne, Wein, Baguette - alles nett
