Reviews of Property: Great Location Near Recoleta and Plaza San Martín

We stayed in Buenos Aires for a week in early July 2009 at this apartment which was located very close to Plaza San Martin and the train/bus station. The apartment was clean, fully stocked, and very comfortable. The supermarket is a block away, which was very convenient. A short walk to the subway allowed us to get to anywhere we wanted, and of course there were enough taxis at all hours.

The apartment itself was everything we expected after reading the description, a large bed (a bit hard), all the amenities we could ever need, and plenty of towels.

Overall, Hugo was very thorough, making sure to confirm our flight, have a taxi available for us upon arrival, and someone to meet us at the apartment to give us the key. The deposit was returned without any problems.

My next trip to Buenos Aires will definitely go through this apartment again. From the original email to the owner until our departure, the experience was very smooth.

We recently returned from our trip to Buenos Aires. We chose this apt. for a 7 day stay after reading the VRBO description and comments and we totally agree with the previous guests. The apt. was very comfortable and well appointed. We did not lack for anything and really appreciated the 24 hour security person in the lobby. Our friendly greeter met us punctually, explained things about the apt. and the area and then was only a phone call away if we had any additional questions or concerns.
The location was fantastic. It was easily convenient for us to have a morning cafe con leche and medialuna at a restaurant, pick up freshly washed and folded laundry at a llavadero, purchase items at a supermercado and have para llevar (takeout) from a pizza place. Restaurants nearby that we enjoyed incl. El Mirasol and JuanaM (great salad bar). One evening in between outings, we were relaxing with a vino tinto on the balcony and were serenaded by the lovely sounds of a singer who was giving a concert in a nearby outdoor courtyard.
BA is a very walkable city and we explored Recoleta, Microcentro, San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero and Palermo. The subte (subway) was close by if distance or time was a consideration though we needed the walking to offset the culinary pleasures of BA. A day trip to El Tigre was also memorable. Retiro train station was within a manageable walking distance and the cost of the 55 minute train ride was extremely inexpensive.
We would have absolutely no hesitation returning to BA and to this apt. We did some homework about what to see and do in BA and area (incl. going across to Uruguay), brought our Spanish phrase book/dictionary, spoke some very rusty high school Spanish and enjoyed the trip immensely. This apt. was a great home base from which to experience the charm and excitement of Buenos Aires.

Great location. Walking distance to Recoleta, Av Alvear, Santa Fe, Florida, Av Libertador. There´s a supermarket near by. Great Restaurants all around. Was clean, well equiped. just as describe. We really had a great time in BA, the place was an excellent choice, will go back anytime. Thanks

I am writing this after arriving back home in New York City after an amazing ten days in Buenos Aires. I will never stay at a hotel in BA again. The location, building, apartment, comfortable accommodations and amenities blew me and my husband away. The quality and location were affordable and a great bargain in comparison with equal lodgings at a hotel.

The safe and central location made it a breeze and pleasure to get around and enjoy the city. And when we wanted to travel to the outskirts of Buenos Aires Capital, all we had to do was hop onto a train at the nearby Retiro station. Lovely Plaza San Martin was steps away as were upscale galleries, restaurants and shopping. Just walk across Arroyo and you are in one of the prime shopping areas of the city. Recoletta is only the beginning. Take a stroll down Santa Fe for some of the best shopping in town. If you just want to relax, take a seat on the apartment's patio and stare at the amazing Rubber tree across the street (they're called Gomeros) or look into the private school playground across the way. The kids can be rambunctious in the morning, but their playful laughter made the trip even more enjoyable and our experience all the more authentic.

We arrive Every moment afterwards was a complete pleasure. The bed was comfortable. The towels were soft and numerous. The kitchen was comfortable, useful and stocked with all the dishes and appliances we could need. The apartment was clean and maid service was available for the price of the rental.

We loved our stay and would highly recommend it. We hope to return soon.

Lori and I are home safely from BA and we LOVED
our trip (except for the flight issue at the start of
our trip). Your apartment was so well appointed and
comfortable for us. The location was perfect! The
walk to Recoleta Cemetary/weekend market was
fabulous as well. We truly loved all the restaurants
that were in the block with El Mirasol - we ate in
that area four nights, each night a different
restaurant. It was so convenient and the food was
amazing.

Daniel was available to take us to the airport at the
end of our trip and gave us Spanish lessons all the
way (while we gave him English lessons, so it was
mutual beneficial!). Most importantly, thank you for
your flexiblility and concern regarding our missed
flight. It was really reassuring to know that you
were available to help us.

Lori and are huge fans of Buenos Aires now, so
