Lovely home - great location

Rick and Cathy have a lovely house by the lake. It is so well furnished, clean and well stocked. You feel like you are at home. They were so nice and helpful in every way. We were very comforable there and hope to return there again. We certainly would recommend this property.

We've only rented a lake place one other time and this rental takes the cake. No detail was missed - clean, well furnished, exactly as shown in the pictures. All you need to bring is your swim suit, a few shorts and t-shirts, food, drink and good friends. My wife and I and our three kids (20,18, and 14) loved it. Rick and Cathy have thought of everything else from all your kitchen needs, to fishing gear, to firewood, to a nicely equipped boat which we also rented for the week. The garage with full sized ping-pong table and extra fridge also got it's use during our stay. Sylvan lake is a large lake with just the right mix of water sports, fisherman, and leisurely pontoon boaters. You can't go wrong with this one - we're certainly considering making it an annual vacation spot.

This home is immaculate and well-stocked with travelers in mind. I couldn't believe that it was a rental place. The owners must work very hard. The deck and the access to the lake was wonderful as well. We greatly enjoyed our time there.

The house was clean and well-equipped with a lovely multi-level deck. Situated on a promentary in the lake you feel surrounded by water and the opposite shore (actually an island) is undeveloped which makes for a restful view. The nearby Gene Stratton Porter house is a gem.
Just a note; we visited in October when the lake was quiet and the surrounding homes were mostly empty. I have a feeling that it could be a lot less relaxing in the height of summer.

Our week at this home on Sylvan Lake was awesome. Altho we had planned to have several other family members with us, schedules were such that just the 2 of us were able to come. The home had plenty of sleeping places had everyone been able to come, but it was wonderful having a second honeymoon all to ourselves. The home is tastefully appointed, with every amenity. Our hosts were great, and very helpful in sharing ideas for entertainment for our week. They even went out of their way to find out worship times and places for Sunday morning - we were so thankful! Having the Gene Stratton-Porter home nearby and walking trails was great, and the area has many other options for keeping busy. We were content to laze our days away on the lake, which is awesome - the largest in Noble County, so plenty of space to boat about and enjoy the scenery. If you want a great place to vacation,. THIS is it!!

The home was everything it was described to be and so much more. Not too big if you are just a couple, and not to small if you have a family. There are lots of DVD's, board games and a game system to give all something to do in the event you have one of those rainy days.
The views of the lake from the master bedroom and the living room are great! This home is located in the back of a small bay so it is somewhat protected from the big waves ot the bass boats and skiers. This house is very well maintained, clean and nicely decorated.
The owners, Rick and Cathy are very accommodating and quick to respond to our calls and emails. They were also very easy to reach when needed while staying in the house.
The high speed internet was a great touch and came in handy when using my laptop to check email and work news.
I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a great lake front location. You won't be disappointed.
Just please don't choose the week we want to go back.
