Reviews of Property: Large apartment in Marbella, Puerto Banus, with heated Pool

We have just returned from a relaxing holiday at La Maestranza. The apartment is spacious and clean. It is in a good location within walking distance to shops restaurants and bars. Puerto Banus is just the right distance away to enjoy the nightlife but be able to get away from it as well. The Pasta cafe, and delicious are very close by for the times when you don't want to walk very far,and they serve good food.The complex is very clean with staff sweeping and mopping the shared areas on a daily basis. The apartment is equipt with most things you require, except tea towels and a hairdryer. So make sure you pack them. We had to go out and buy a hairdryer, as we are used to having them at the apartments, and I hadn't packed one. We had a good holiday overall. but we had a disappointing start because we booked this particular apartment for the promised wireless broadband listed on the apartment detaiIs.The apartment does not have internet access. This meant we had 2 not very happy teenagers, as we had promised that on this holiday they would be able to use their laptops to keep in touch with their friends. We felt we should point his out because it should not be listed as a feature of the apartment. But that said if you want a nice apartment in Spain for a relaxing holiday and you are not looking for wi-fi access, then choose La Maestranza.

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. It is clean, well furnished with excellent facilities. It is also ideally positioned within walking distance of town and handy for local shops etc.

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Highly recommend this to families with young kids. Daniel (7) liked that heated swimming pool and stayed there all day long.
All as described on website, so no problems what so ever. Brendan is very helpful too, gave us a lot of hints and tips re shops and restaurants and places to visit.
Hope to go there again next year.

The apartment was very spacious and was very consistent with our expections, so no disappointments. The layout was great as the bedrooms were well positioned from the lounge and kitchen and would make a perfect apartment for 2 couples to share. The property was very clean and well maintained and for us it was great proximity to the town/beach in Puerto Banus - only a 10 min walk so good if you want the peace and quiet along with quick access when you want it. The heated pool was great and really was heated! Brendan was very honest with us and showed great flexibility as we needed to check out later than the 10am requirement. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for accomodation for 4-6 people. Fantastic supermarket and cafe right next to the complex which was very important to us because of the kids. The locals were great and everyone including the residents were very friendly.

This was a great apartment, very spacious, tidy and clean and PERFECT for a baby. It was like home from home, even had Sky TV!!!!! The only disappointing bit about my holiday was the weather!!!

Everything was close to the apartment: supermarket, chemist, nice restaurants, news agents. A bit of advice: If you arrive on a Sunday EVERYTHING is closed!! There is an Open Cor (Like Seven Eleven) just round the corner for milk and essentials which we didn't know about until the Monday!!

Also check the cupboards before you go shopping as they are well stocked and we bought lots of items that were already there!!.

Tried a few of the recommended restaurants and I would say that 'The Bistro Gallery' has obviously gone down hill since its last review so I would strongly recommend avoiding that one!! All the others were great.

Instructions from the Airport were spot on and didn't get lost once!! (apart from when we went in search of an open shop on a Sunday night!)

Would definitely recommend this apartment and use it myself again. (perhaps in the summer though!!)

This apartment is exceptionally spacious and would easily accommodate a family consisting of two adults and four children. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of pots, pans, glasses, etc and both bathrooms were very clean. The two bedrooms were good in size and there was plenty of storage space for clothes. There was a decent size supermarket within walking distance and it didn't appear to be overpriced. The heated swimming pool was used by our five year old three times in February!!!

Myself and my sister travelled to Puerto Banus on 26th Dec 08 for 5 days. This apartment is highly recommended as it is very large and in a very smart development. 10 minutes walk to the Port and Saturday market just 2 minutes away - a shop till you drop experience. Local supermarket (c. 1 minute walk) stocks everything you could wish for at excellent prices. Found Brendan most helpful with lots of useful information and a pleasure to deal with.

This apartment is perfectly located to the hustle bustle of the port yet far enough way to chill out and relax in the daytime around the well furnished swimming pools. We thought the apartment was well equipped for our needs and enjoyed an evening sangria on the terrace. Very easy to locate and the security guard is an added safety bonus whilst being helpful for finding a taxi!

The stairs however are not for the elderly or physically disabled!!

The recommendations that the owners sent out to us were very helpful and accurate, even though we are frequent visitors to the area.

We would definitely use this apartment again and intend on recommending it to our friends that also visit the area and stay in overpriced average hotels when this apartment offers all the amenities a port based hotel does but with considerabley more space for considerabley better value.
