Frank and Sandy host a great little place. Super clean with all amenities you could need. When we arrived, Frank gave us the low-down on the area, best places to eat and sights to see. Their library of maps, guidebooks and history of the area is great for orienting yourself to LA and Venice's long history as a destination.

Only a ten minute walk to the beach and 2 blocks from Abbott Kinney, this is the best place for soaking in local action and getting a true feel for Venice life.

We had a great stay in Venice Beach with Frank and Sandy. They live in the other half of the building and are both very accommodating. They make you feel like you have known them forever and are most helpful in sharing their knowledge of the area. The studio is very comfortable and is well located to stroll down to the beach (less than 5 minutes away) an charming Abbot Kinney. Hats off to both of you!!!

This is a fabulous place to stay. The location is great; close to everything but in a real neighbourhood, rather than a impersonal resort. The bus network is comprehensive, for those who don't want to drive (although the size of LA makes for slow, but interesting, journeys). The accommodation is comfortable and clean. The owners, Sandy and Frank, are very welcoming, and are the perfect hosts - there if needed for anything, but don't intrude. Oh, and Sandy makes a great Gin & Tonic! Hal's and Chaya are good places to eat. The pizza place (takeaway) on Abbot Kinney is worth a try, and the RoosterFish bar, also on Abbot Kinney, is a great little place. Lastly, if you like art, don't miss the Getty Center. I'd recommend this property wholeheartedly, and certainly hope to go back again one day.

We stayed here for a week and it was an excellent base for exploring LA. It was more than a base, it was a true home from home. The appartment was clean, well-equipped and very comfortable. There were many information leaflets to assist us in choosing where to go and what to see. Frank and Sandy were wonderful hosts and gave us lots of advice/guide books to help us plan the rest of our trip around California as well as our stay in LA.

The studio was everything it said it would be in terms of the location, layout and amenities. It was 10 minutes walk to Venice Beach and 15 minutes drive from LAX. We would highly recommend this appartment.

My husband and I were looking for a small place near the ocean(walking distance) to relax and just chill! This was excellent. Frank and Sandy were awesome hosts, and the property was clean, well maintained, and met our every needs!!! Plenty of restaurants and attractions in walking distance. Can't wait to stay again this year!!

We had a great time at 508 (January, 2009): wonderful location, cozy and comfortable accommodations, terrific help and guidance from you with maps, advice, laundry, etc. And a great day of golf for my husband. We recommend 508 to all our friends and we can't wait for our next visit.

We just had the pleasure to stay in Frank and Sandy's fantastic vacation rental. It is beautifully decorated and has all conveniences of home. The location is second to none: only a few steps to awesome Abbott Kinney with its great shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Also great for exploring nearby communities such as Hollywood, Santa Monica, etc. Highly recommend!!
