Pefect for relaxing

Review Submitted: May 31, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
My husband and I had a great time in the studio. For a relaxing break in a peaceful and beautiful surroundings then look no further than here. There's plenty to do in the area or you can stroll to the local village. We would recommend Maria's supermarket to buy steaks for the BBQ - Delicious! and a visit to the old town is a must.
Hiring a car is also very useful for exploring.
We'll be back!

Tranquility and utter relaxation

Review Submitted: September 21, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
The write up just doesn't do this studio and it's setting anywhere near enough justice and neither do the photos. Set high up in a horseshoe of hills looking out to the coast this is far enough from the madding crowd to get away and relax. The studio is basic - 1 large room with an en-suite shower room and the kitchen integrated within the living / sleeping area. The kitchen(ette) comprises no more than a 2-ring hob, microwave, f/freezer, toaster and kettle but this is more than compensated for by the stunning surroundings, the delightful gardens over many levels offering a botanists delight, the private outdoor pool and not mentioned in the write up the outside shower (perfect for cooling off after lazing on the terrace) and the bonus which you have to look for. There is a large brick built BBQ perfect for those summer evenings and enough room to pick your preferred spot for outdoor dining too! There is more than enough room around the pool area to find a spot in the sun or shade depending on how you feel and everything has a very easy and comfortable feel to it.
Matt has been an absolute star throughout and has been very easy to get on with. He responds quickly to email enquiries and has not let us down at any stage. Since coming back we have been in touch and I understand that he may have other property which we may consider taking my daughter along to. The studio is only for couples.
If you are looking to get away and unwind then I would recommend that this one is included in any short list.

The only downside to the whole holiday was that we unfortunately arrived on a late flight and were searching in the dark with no maps - just sat nav and Matt's directions. We got lost! A word of warning - this is in the hills and the road won't appear on sat nav maps for some time yet (when we got there TomTom said we were over 2km from the nearest road) so take a map and look for the petrol station on the right as you drive in to Altea. If you do use sat nav the nearest point of reference will be Calle Erica.

Go off and enjoy!

Excellent Studio

Review Submitted: September 2, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
My husband and I spent 10 days in this fantastic place. Although a studio, facilities were brilliant, including a private pool and hot tub outside, use of washing machine and barbeque. Inside was fairly spacious and beds were very comfortable. As we were on our third holiday of the year wanted to limit our spending so we visited local supermarket and cooked lots of fish, and fresh veg(very tasty and spent several evenings by the pool sampling some excellent vino.
Property is very close to town of Altea ( 5mins in a car). We also visited Calpe, Moraira and Benissa, Moraira is a particularly nice little seaside town.
We would recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet break away from it all. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Relaxing, idyllic location

My partner and I stayed here at the beginning of June and we would definitely recommend it. It is perfectly located in the hills, with tranquil surroundings, but only a short drive from the picturesque old town. This studio is perfect for anyone who wants to get away and completely relax and for those who want to venture out and explore the nearby attractions. The views are simply wonderful.

A Perfect Getaway!

Review Submitted: July 15, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We spent 10 days at this apartment in July 09, the apartment was immaculate and the villa was beautiful. The studio was a very good size, and very comfortable. The gardens were gorgeous, and we had a private pool and hottub, and were not overlooked at all! It was much more than we expected and we were very pleasantly surprised. The village is a 15 minute walk down the hill, with bars, supermarkets and restaurants. Altea town is a 10-minute drive away, with lots of shops, bars, restaurants and the market on Tuesdays. All in all this was the best break we've had, perfect for swimming, sunbathing and relaxing! Highly recommended. Thank you very much Matt!

My partner and I have just stayed here for the second time and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely, well-priced apartment in a great spot. The views from the apartment are amazing - we spent a lot of time lazing around the fantastic pool (which was ours alone) soaking in the view. My partner comes here for the cycling which he says is perfect, lots of fantastic, empty roads and great mountain climbs. It is ideal for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday outside the hustle and bustle yet close enough to the main town in Altea. The apartment itself is very clean and comfortable and includes everything we need. The weather was a little disappointing on our last visit, but you can't have everything!. We really love this place and will be coming again.

I visited this apartment in Altea in August 08 with my friend and had a great time. The apartment is in a lovely tranqul area that seems to catch the good weather and has beautiful views, its attached to a luxury villa that is not rented so you don't have other holiday makers right on top of you (which is our normal expierence with appartments). The pool was very warm and with the hot tub right next to it made it such a treat. Altea village is pretty and has several small shops, post office, coffee shops, bars and restaurants and is only a short walk away. Altea town is again a nice visit a few miles away, with many more bars and restaurants and my favourite was the beautiful old town with its pretty church, quality restaurants and stunning views. After lots of time spent by the pool enjoying relaxing we did manage to visit the water park and beaches of Benidorm which is about 20 minutes in the car and had a wild day and night out!! I would recommend a car if your not a cyclist (of which there are lots) as there is so much to see and do in the surrounding areas. I don't normally write reviews and hope this helps but we found this appartment such a gem that i would love others to enjoy.

Lovely Relaxing Holiday

Review Submitted: March 7, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2008
I have stayed there 3 times now and enjoyed the surrounding area. A nice peaceful part of Altea, gorgous mountains and only a short drive or Taxi to the old town and Benidorm if you feel more adventerous. You can relax by the pool in the day and evening with the lovely gardens without any interference or being over looked. Totally recommended if your looking for a tranquil holiday and nice days out. A visit to the Altea old town is a must for some fine dining. A hire car is handy, but if your a walker or cyclist then its a must to discover the area. Overall a wonderful non-expensive getaway, I really enjoyed it and will be going back for sure.

We loved this apartment. It was clean and well maintained with beautiful gardens and exclusive use of a large pool. Ideal base for walking, cycling, exploring the Costa Blanca or just lazing around the pool. with its amazing views. You need a car for ease of travelling around but can walk past the orange groves.into the nearby village. Excellent customer service. We loved Altea for eating out or strolling down the beach. We will definately be going back
