Venice waterfront villa,Nokomis

Rod and June's gorgeous house is in a fantastic location. Very close to the classic floridian attractions - beaches and shopping malls - but also very tranquil with serene views over the creek. No need to go visit wildlife parks - you can watch the wildlife from pool-side. We found there was something in the area for everyone. We enjoyed the shopping and a visit to the Busch Gardens themepark but were also amazed by the beautiful historic John Ringling Mansion and art gallery in nearby Sarasota. Plan a long trip because there is a lot to see and do - although you may find it difficult to drag yourself away from your holiday home - it's so comfortable!

We had a fantastic time. The villa was great, clean well maintained and in a great location. The view over the water was great and so was the fishing. We are hopefuly going back this Novembe 2008.. It is in a great location, with everything you need on your doorstep. The beaches are great and the eating places are abundant. It is so close to the I.75 and easy to locate. The layout of the villa is great if you are sharing.

very nice area,quiet and personal.
All facilities as advertised and good communication with owner.Villa is suitable for small families , clean and attractive with nice outlook over shakett creek.
Ideal location for visiting the area, near to most shopping ,beach was close by,not walkable.
Directions from Tampa were precise and accurate,takes about 1hr.20 minutes.
Best restaurant was a mexican restaurant called Mi Peublo which was in north Englewood.
Super Walmart and Target Greatland very close,5 mins by car.

We loved this house. Its very roomy and has a nice sitting area where you can watch at the canal behind the house. The poolarea is very nice also and you can sit outside and have a BBQ even when its raining.
The masterbedroom und masterbathroom are very big and are at the leftside of the building. So its possible to watch TV and being in the living room without disturbing people who might want to take a nap.
Also the Garage is perfect for people with a big family, because you can park your Minivan inside without any problems (we had a Grand Voyager so we know what we are talking about). The washing machine and dryer are good and you can wash even sensitive cloth.

If you want to stay at home one evening its no problem. You will have a big kitchen with everything in it and a TV with everything on it.

I think its fun to go to the canal behind the house but we didn`t tryed that out.
So finaly a just want to give 5 thumbs up.

We had a great holiday in your villa, which had everything we could possibly want and the best location of any of our foreign holidays. The description of the villa in the advert is spot-on, although it probably doesn't do justice to the location.

The whole area was a delight. Did some fishing, some sightseeing, beach time, a couple of the parks in Tampa, some shopping and a lot of lazing round the pool. We probably came back thinking we should have explored the local area a bit more, but the temptations to lie back and simply enjoy the villa are huge!

With this villa / this area, you get the best of both worlds - relatively unspoiled and far less commercialised than Orlando, but easy access to Tampa if you want to get to the Parks or the Malls. Local beaches are superb.

Hello Rod and June! We're finally home and getting settled. We had THE
BEST time in Florida. The house was just perfect. Loved it and look
forward to going back again next year. We left a very lengthy letter in your guest book. So
you can read it when you are down for your holiday. Hope your weather is as

Den 2-wöchigen Aufenthalt in diesem Haus haben wir in sehr guter Erinnerung. Dabei passt alles harmonisch zusammen: die Räume sind großzügig dimensioniert. Auch wenn der Wohnbereich mit 2 Räumen offen gestaltet ist, kann man sich zu individuellen Tätigkeiten zurückziehen. Die Wohnräume sind sehr ansprechend und persönlich möbliert.
Der Master-Bedroom mit zugehörigem Bad läßt keine Wünsche offen. Für uns besonders angenehm war der direkte Zugang vom Master-Bedroom zur Poolterasse.
Im separaten Trakt befinden sich die beiden anderen Schlafzimmer. Unsere Freunde haben diesen Trakt als Schlafbereich genutzt und wir waren somit ungestört voneinander. Diese Konstellation bietet sich auch für Familien mit größeren Kindern an.
Der Blick von der Poolterasse über den kleinen Gartenbereich in die Wildnis hinter dem Fluß ist traumhaft. Zu jeder Tageszeit ist etwas zu beobachten.
Vom Bootssteg aus kann man Fische angeln, die erforderlichen Gerätschaften sind vorhanden.
Einziger Minuspunkt: trotz Bootssteges darf das vorhandene Boot von den Hausgästen nicht genutzt werden.
Wegen der rundum positiven Erfahrung planen wir für das nächste Jahr wieder einen Aufenthalt in diesem Haus.
