A very pleasant return!

Once again a really enjoyable experience in a great part of Spain! I said I'd go back to Orgiva and I'm glad I did. This apartment really does offer everything you need for your visit, whether it be sightseeing, visiting the beaches, skiing - or all three! Another big thank you to Doug and Diane for creating a real home-from-home environment in a brilliant area. Definitely worth a visit - even if it's just for the mountain views!!!

I guess it's a measure of what a perfect location Orgiva is if guests want to see what Andalucia has to offer. And you haven't done it all yet, by any means!
Next time you come we will sort out a round of golf and the quad bikes!

So very happy with my second visit to the lovley town of orgiva i found it even better than the first time if thats possible just alot more comfortable with knowing the area and some of the very friendly local people who will go out of there way to make sure we enjoy are stay in there humble town. looking forward to visit number three if lovley Diane and Doug will have us again a big thank you to them for making it so very enjoyable and the appartment so homely.

A week in Orgiva

This is a well maintained, clean apartment, well situated one street back from the main street in Orgiva.
We stayed for a week, doing a mixture of walking, sightseeing and relaxing and we were very pleased with the accommodation.
The rooms were large and airy and although there is no air conditioning we had sufficient through ventilation to stay reasonably cool. The kitchen area is large and well equipped and the balcony area was great for eating out in the morning and evening (it is enclosed so there are no views over the town).
The large shower worked well and there was always plenty of hot water. When we arrived there was an excellent welcome pack with some drinks and breakfast items which meant we didn't have to rush out looking for food.
The owners were very helpful, parking was no problem (late August).
This is good, straightforward accommodation in a lively market town and is excellent value for money. We will use it again.

The apartment was bigger than expected and was fine for two adults and children aged 14, 11 and 4. The balcony was great for barbacues and extra space to be in while the kids watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the 4th time!! We arrived Sunday evening so the welcome pack containing tea, milk, cornflakes and a bottle of wine were much appreciated. Would recommend the cakes in the bakery next door and the campsite swimming pool and tapas. Thanks for everything.

The selection of DVD's & CD's means no matter what age -all our guests usually find an old favourite! We are told the Scrabble, Playing Cards, Monopoly and Dominoes also help to gently pass the time.
As well as the items you mentioned we also always include juice, soft drinks, bread, butter, jam,coffee, sugar and and a couple of beers .. so no matter what time you arrive you can at least have a drink and relax before bed as well as some breakfast next morning.... thus the shopping for the holiday provisions can wait till you feel refreshed from your journey!

Perfect Accomodation

A lovely Apartment in a nice peacefull part of the town of Orgiva a short walk from the shops and restaurants. I really like the cool shade of the beautfull patio with the option of the sun drenced roof top with breath taking views of the town and serounding country side. the facilities of the apartment were perfect nice kitchen area and the bathroom was very nice and clean. The owners where very helpful in letting us know what was on in the area and nice places to go eat and drink and try to dance. Just one hour from the beach and one hour from the mountin tops perfect for me and i will be going back a.s.a.p cant wait. Thanks for a grate time. Gav

A beautiful town with beautiful weather and friendly people. The views of the Sierra Nevada are incredible and rural Spain really is something to be experienced and enjoyed. Everything you need from the town (shops/bars/banks/restaurants etc) is within walking distance and the beaches of the south coast are just a half hour's drive away. The apartment was perfect and catered for our every need, with a good sized balcony and rooftop terrace for when we wanted the sun, and a comfortable and spacious indoor setting for when we didn't. Bars and restaurants are a stones-throw away, with us only using the car for sight-seeing. Doug and Diane were extremely helpful and very welcoming, with their starter pack meaning shopping didn't have to be first on the agenda! I will definitely be returning!

Great place to stay and relax, and the price split between 4 was a massive bonus. The apartment has two big bedrooms and the living area is bigger than my flat in the UK. There was a great welcome when we arrived and a few bits to keep us going until the shops opened in the morning. There is a bakery for fresh bread just around the corner and a couple of great bars too..!!! I have been to many other parts of Spain but none like here...FREE tapas when you order a beer....that is great and cut down on our food bill........well I think ?!! The apartment was very clean and the owners were a really nice English couple who have moved out there a few years ago I can see why!!! We are planning to be back at the end of summer.

This is a lovely place to base any stay in the Orjiva region and great value for money...!! Very easy to get into town to the shops, bars, market and plenty of choice for places to eat! The apartment was very clean and felt very much like home from home. The apartment is situated down a little back streets and is only 2minutes walk from the main town center. The town is only a short drive away from the ski fields, Granada,beaches, mountain villages,marinas and many other places. We only stayed for 10 days but wished we had stayed for a full two weeks or longer as there is so much to do if you want to...!!! The owners Doug and Diane were only to happy to help let us know where to go and how to get there.....the wine in the fridge was a welcome sight after we arrived late on our first night too. Thank you !! We are very much hoping to be back in the summer to go and have a week relaxing in the sun and getting some time on the beach, rather than up a mountain! Thank you once again Doug and Diane, we hope to see you again in the summer..........If you are not already booked up !!!?? Andrea

Excellent location for skiing in the Sierre Nevada Mountains(1hour 15minutes max.). Whilst 30 minutes the other way we were on the coast and swimming.
A quircky little apartment located in the town of Orgiva which had a number of small but enjoyable bars and retaurants. We managed to do 2 excellent walks of about 8 miles within the locality with many opportunities for others. Unfortunately we ran out of days having skiied for 2 days visited nice beaches on 2 days and as I said walked 2 days. The week went very quickly and we shall definitely return.
The apartment was very well equipped and was much more like being in your own home more than any other holiday apartment that we have stayed in.
The DVD player and extensive Films was a bonus when you have 2 teenagers.
Doug and Di were very helpful and the welcome pack of basic foods (which included a Rioja!) was very well received by us.
We would recommend this apartment and the area to anyone who enjoys wandering. We will be back.
