a good place for a family visiting NYC (half an hour by the subway). The property is very well maintained, warm welcome, we recommend it.

Our holidays at Lucerne's palace

very nice days passed over there. Broolyn is a very interesting borough, and view over Manhattan is the best view from New YorkL. The apartement was fine, wide enoug for us, clean and with every thing you need to have on holidays. the metro station was about 10 mns away from the apartment and it was easy to go visiting New york from there. The borough is very safe and people very pleasant. the owners Jean Marc and Lucerne were very king to us. We had a very pleasant stay there and can recommend it to a family.

De retour, nous laissons notre appréciation très favorable à cette location. Très bon accueil, le quartier est agréable, quoiqu'un peu éloigné du centre de Manhattan mais qui s'apprécie pour son calme.
L'appartement est propre et bien équipé.

NYC Home Away from Home

Review Submitted: July 17, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
The apartment was as seen on the web no false advertising. Very tidy, spacious bedrooms and CLEAN. Everything worked. My son and nephew loved internet access so they could "keep in touch". I loved the sky light in the bathroom that allowed the natural light to flow through. Jean Marc and Lucerne are very accommodating owners, they checked with me throughout the stay to make sure everything was A-Ok. There are a number of corner stores for quick purchases or short walk to the SuperFoodTown for your grocery needs and there's DuaneReade Pharmacy (2 blocks from train station on Fulton St). There is a MacDonald's nearby and a lot of mani and pedicures businesses on Fulton St. Would recommend to others.

Staying in Jefferson Ave Apartment

Review Submitted: May 23, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
The apartment was great! Perfectly clean, very well maintained and nicely decorated. The owners were extremely helpful and available. The house is in a very nice street and it is a short walk from the subway. There are only a few restaurants in the area, since it is mostly residential but you can order for delivery almost everything. I would definitely recommend this apartment for families or groups of friends. The staying was really enjoyable.

The house is so colorful and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay. Lucerne was very helpful in answering all of my questions. The apartment is only 7 blocks from the nearest subway station, which was very convenient. Unfornuately, we were very late arriving to the apartment, but they were very accomodating.

A Neat Place to Stay

College Student Missouri, USA
Review Submitted: July 29, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
One other traveler and I stayed at this apartment during our 7-day trip to New York City. We enjoyed that property very much, it was spacious, well decorated, and felt like a real home. The apartment is located about 6 blocks from the nearest subway line, which makes it fairly easy to get into Manhattan or travel elsewhere. In addition there are also many buses running in the area to help with transportation. One thing that we liked most about staying here is that it provided a much different experience from staying in a hotel. The apartment certainly has it own sense of charm. The owners and operators are friendly and helped us to have a good time by prompting returning our calls and answering questions, in addition to just being friendly and welcoming in general.

I would recommend this property most to younger travelers and those in larger groups, probably between 2 and 6.

Loved the area: loads of atmosphere, and just a short metro ride away from Manhattan. Loved the apartment too. It had everything we needed and it was clean, quiet and as colourful as on the pictures. The owners - and the neighbours too - were easygoing and helpful. I would definitely come back here.

Jefferson Ave apartment

Overall this is a great place to stay. My husband and I had reserved another of Lucerne's apartments but a week before she switched us to this apartment. Even though the apartment was bigger she did not charge us any extra. How wonderful! It is spacious with all the amenities you need to stay in NYC.
It is about a 15 min ride on the A train into Manhattan which we went every day! You are five blocks from the subway. The neighborhood is in a transition phase right now, but I felt safe and the store owners were very nice. We came and went at all hours of the day and night. If you are looking for a spa, pampered weekend this may not be for you, but if you are looking for a place to stay that is safe, clean (Ms. Hernandez does a wonderful job), economic and convenient place in NYC this is it.

Lucerne and her husband were very nice and even suggested a car service to pick us up from the airport.
Lucerne was very prompt and did everything on her end to assure that we would have a great time.

I give this apartment and Lucerne an excellent for the week's stay.
