Some comments from recent guests.
'We had a wonderful time at your villa - one of our best holidays yet'.
'We thought the villa was magnificent, beautifully furnished, light airy and clean. The pool and the patio areas were also very impressive'.
'We had a GREAT vacation! We've rented vacation homes in Peru, London, Greece, Spain and the U.S.- all very nice places, but yours was definitely the best stocked and the best organised of them all. The house was exactly as advertised. It was immaculate when we arrived, and the property management company did a remarkable job of very discretely providing support throughout the two weeks'.

Beautiful villa in stunning location

Review Submitted: August 18, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We stayed at Villa Kahili in July 2009 and had a fantastic holiday. The villa is beautifully furnished with amazing views, very well equipped and within easy walking distance into the centre of Kalkan. The walk back is much harder, being uphill but it kept us fit and worked off all those wonderful meals that we had in Kalkan's many restaurants!

We hired a car for the middle 9 days of our stay and managed well without one for the other days as the taxis are very cheap and there is lots to do in Kalkan. We would recommend both Kaputas and Patara beaches - both beautiful but very different. We also enjoyed Salklikent Gorge, the ruins at Xanthos and Kas (where we bought a carpet). We also took a moonlight boat trip from Kalkan harbour and enjoyed seeing life in the country villages inland, only a short drive from Kalkan.

The villa was also very well looked after during our stay, with the pool area being cleaned twice a day and the villa itself, twice a week. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

All in all, we were very pleasantly surprised by our stay in Kalkan, this being the first time we had been to Turkey. The locals are all very friendly, with service second to none. The food is also excellent as are the many lovely shops. It is a resort that is suitable for couples and families.

The villa owners also handled our booking very efficiently and everything was arranged perfectly for us. We have no hesitation in recommending Villa Kahili as a great location for a holiday in Kalkan.

Villa Kahili

Review Submitted: July 7, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We went to this villa in June 2009 with another couple. Villa Kahili is absolutely lovely, beautifully furnished and well equipped. The pool is great although about 6 feet deep throughout so not sure it is suitable for children but was ideal for us 4 adults. The villa is situated on the hill overlooking the harbour and takes about 10 mins to walk down to all the lovely restaurants and shops and if you are feeling fit takes about 20 mins to walk back but if you don't fancy the walk a taxi will cost about £3.00.
The villa was lovely and clean - the outside area was cleaned daily and the villa weekly.

Would definitely recommend this villa and would love to return again one day.

WONDERFUL HOLIDAY - MAY 2009

Review Submitted: June 14, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
From the first time I made contact with Sheila, I was extremely confident in making my booking. It was dealt with in a most professional manner which would put a lot of travel agents to shame.

The villa is absolutely stunning - extremely clean and well maintained - the staff employed kept it to a very high standard throughout our stay. The photos do not do it justice.

Kalkan is a picture perfect resort - the villa is up a hill so has the most stunning views. The walk back at night is hard work but after a few times it does become a little easier - taxis are easy to get but it was just so peaceful and the views so lovely that we did walk back every night but two.

The best restaurants we found during our stay were Aubergine and Sofra - however, there are so many to choose from you are spoilt for choice.

Without doubt I would fully recommend not only Kalkan as a resort but most certainly Villa Kahili.

Thank you Sheila and David for sharing your wonderful holiday home with us - we had a lovely holiday

I will most definitely be in contact again to book.

Kalkan villa review

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at this villa. The description is very accurate, the property was very clean and well maintained. Any queries were dealt with very efficiently by the management company and the owner. I would recommend this property to anyone, bearing in mind it is on a hillside. The Saklikent Gorge is well worth a visit.

Villa Kahili review

Sunseaker London, England
Review Submitted: October 27, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
Assistance with transfers to/from the villa was provided by the owners, making arrival stress free. The guide provided was clear and the map very easy to read. Kalkan, once you have been there a day or two, is a very small town, so its not too far to town.

The villa is very convenient to town (10 minute walk), but would recommend a taxi for the return as everything is uphill once you are in town. Taxi's are cheap; £4 in the day, 5/6 in the evening. We walked up from the shops during the day for a bit of exercise, and it was hard at times so if you dont want to over exert yourself, take a taxi.

The villa was clean and had all the essentials needed for our stay. The cleaning staff were also very helpful and kept the villa clean.

We dined at Trio, Coast and Jasmine Garden. Trio was the most expensive, but relative to eating out in the UK is was not expensive. The service and food was excellent.
We went to Coast twice, lovely views and brilliant stake on a stone (marble stake), cooked at your table. Alas the food at the Jasmine Gardens was not up to scratch and the waiting staff paid us no attention at all. It looks nice but would recommend Coast or Trio above this restaurant.

A day trip on one of the boats in the harbour is a must. Its £15pp for a days boating around the coast, swimming in crystal clear waters, and its not too cold either. The cost of the trip includes lunch and tea/cake. The drinks are not included, so if you want to have a few beers bring some money with you.

The people in Kalkan were amongst the nicest I have ever met whilst on holiday. They didnt try to pull you into restaurants/bars like they do in other resorts.

The only warning is for Dalaman airport, its VERY expensive to buy any food there, so bring your own. Bottles and food can be brought into the airport, unlike the UK. The majority of people there seemed to know this as most people had brought their own packed lunch.

I would highly recommend Kalkan and Villa Kahili.

Fantastic villa

We were due to stay in this villa with our son and daughter and her friend, but son had accident day before due to fly out, so could not go. My daughter and her friend still flew out (19 Years in age). They had a fantastic time, villa was lovely, they were well looked after by management team and everybody in Kalkan made them feel welcome. They were near enough town and bars to be able to walk and they loved relaxing either at beach or poolside in the day.
Owners based in UK could not have been more helpful in the unfortunate circumstances.

Villa kahili

Review Submitted: September 4, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
My family and I shared a wonderful, relaxing holiday in Villa Kahili during the summer. Everything went smoothly as regards transfers and car hire which was arranged for us by Sheila and David prior to our departure to Turkey. The villa was comfortable, spacious and well equipped throughout, from the very welcome broadband internet access to the excellent variety of board games for children to the large choice of dvd's. How did we manage to find time to holiday! The cleaning staff were friendly and discreet and the villa was cleaned to a high standard. The pool area was spotless as was the outside dining area providing a welcome haven in the evenings after a long hot day- bliss!! I would definitely recommend Kalkan as it is a beautiful unspoilt turkish resort and Villa Kahili was just the icing on the cake.
