Villa Kahili review

Assistance with transfers to/from the villa was provided by the owners, making arrival stress free. The guide provided was clear and the map very easy to read. Kalkan, once you have been there a day or two, is a very small town, so its not too far to town.
The villa is very convenient to town (10 minute walk), but would recommend a taxi for the return as everything is uphill once you are in town. Taxi's are cheap; £4 in the day, 5/6 in the evening. We walked up from the shops during the day for a bit of exercise, and it was hard at times so if you dont want to over exert yourself, take a taxi.
The villa was clean and had all the essentials needed for our stay. The cleaning staff were also very helpful and kept the villa clean.
We dined at Trio, Coast and Jasmine Garden. Trio was the most expensive, but relative to eating out in the UK is was not expensive. The service and food was excellent.
We went to Coast twice, lovely views and brilliant stake on a stone (marble stake), cooked at your table. Alas the food at the Jasmine Gardens was not up to scratch and the waiting staff paid us no attention at all. It looks nice but would recommend Coast or Trio above this restaurant.
A day trip on one of the boats in the harbour is a must. Its £15pp for a days boating around the coast, swimming in crystal clear waters, and its not too cold either. The cost of the trip includes lunch and tea/cake. The drinks are not included, so if you want to have a few beers bring some money with you.
The people in Kalkan were amongst the nicest I have ever met whilst on holiday. They didnt try to pull you into restaurants/bars like they do in other resorts.
The only warning is for Dalaman airport, its VERY expensive to buy any food there, so bring your own. Bottles and food can be brought into the airport, unlike the UK. The majority of people there seemed to know this as most people had brought their own packed lunch.
I would highly recommend Kalkan and Villa Kahili.
