What a place to come home to.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone. It was just as described on the website, clean, cosy, nicely decorated and a pleasure to come home to after a hard day’s sight seeing. The kitchen was well equipped with a very large fridge freezer; the bathroom had a powerful shower and a good supply of clean towels.
We stayed here with our two boys 11 and 17, who really enjoyed this apartment, despite sharing the pull down sofa bed, which they found comfy. There was a blow up bed they could have used if they wished. A good supply of DVDs to choose from.
Jean had provided a little welcome basket which was a nice touch. She was very helpful if we needed to ask any questions, Jean also responded quickly to any questions I had before the visit by email.
Be sure to get a yellow cab from the airport only $35 and worth it after a long flight. The area was ok, we never felt in any danger here or indeed in any part of our stay in New York.
The metro is very convenient to the apartment and is great as it is the end of the line so you cannot go the wrong way. There were always trains in the station when we arrived. The metro was easy to move around on and with a seven day pass for $25 very reasonable. A very efficient service.
There was a little shopping centre 5 mins walk from the apartment with a supermarket, dunkin donuts, Chinese restaurant etc.
We would recommend the New York Pass for visiting attractions whilst in New York; they are cheaper to buy on line than when you are there, and can be collected from Planet Hollywood. If you are there for a week you will more than cover the cost of a 7 day pass. They provide a booklet showing all the places included and the ones you can use to fast pass at. Eating at planet Hollywood was a good one as you skipped the line and got $10.00 each off the bill. The trip to Liberty and Ellis Island was good but the line was a pain, make sure you get there early in the day as we had to queue for just under and hour despite skipping the first line to get our tickets with the pass.
Make sure you visit Central park, my favourite place, alive with birds in April. Our boys enjoyed taking a boat out on the lake.
If you want a nice place to relax in which is out of town you would not find a better apartment and at a very reasonable price too. Thank you Jean, we hope to come back some day.
