Relaxing vacation

vand59 Greenwood, IN
Review Submitted: October 23, 2007 Date of Stay: September 2007
This place was wonderful, peaceful and secluded. My husband did alot of hiking which he loves. I could just relax out on the porch or by the lake with the beautiful scenery. We did all the cooking out in the cabana, which was very nice. All the kids kept busy with the many different possibilities on the property. It was our ideal vacation. We loved it!

Totally Awesome Family Reunion Place

Marge and family Bloomington,Ill
Review Submitted: August 18, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We just returned from a family reunion at Pine Paradise and I must say "It is paradise" for all ages.We had family from 5yr.s old to 87 yrs. old and everyone totally enjoyed themselves. We fished, swam in the lake and there was always someone in the party barn. What an awesome place to gather on the front porch of the main cabin or the bar and seating area off the cabana. The cabin beds were very comfy and everyone had their own private room. The whole property is very well maintained and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. We spent our entire time there, no need to look for entertainment. We all loved karaoke and sang and danced till the wee hours. Everyone young and old plan to return for our next reunion. Davy showed us around and showed us how all the lights and electronics in the party barn worked he is a super host, made us feel very welcome. Everything on their listing is accurate. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting an awesome vacation away from it all.

Best Vacation Ever!!

Pine Paradise is in every way a paradise away from home!! We stayed for 5 days and nights for a family reunion in August and we had the best time. Besides the beautiful and fully functional cabin-house, we spent most days on the lake and evenings in the "party barn" or around the campfire in the cabana. There were 20 of us there, and even if the rest of the families would have been able to come, there would have been plenty of room. Our family loves to cook and bake---bottom line--we really just like to eat!! We cooked some meals in the kitchen with no trouble, and grilled a few meals outside at the cabana, where there was also a huge preparation area--and even an outdoor cast iron kettle that raised and lowered over a wood fire. That really impressed the boyscouts in the family!! The playground was great for the little ones, and the party barn was perfect for the teens and poker enthusiasts. There is even a couple ponds stocked with fish for the fishermen! There is something for everyone and I know we'll be back many times over.

We call this the Mac Daddy Cabin!

We just got back from a two family reunion - 23 people - including kids as young as 2. There was so much to do for everyone. We were all wishing we could stay another week. Not enough time to see or do everything. You really don't need to bring a thing. We had packed corn hole and hilly billy golf - and all those things were provided. Davey met us the first day and showed us around. He was a very gracious host. Chrystal answered all my nagging emails with details up until we arrived and everything was a great as promised. I would definitely recommend renting the golf cart. It is a little bit of a hike to the lake and the way up is a bit tiring for those of us who aren't extremely fit. The cabana was great for cooking those big sloppy and greasy meals. There was so much room that no one felt like they were cramped. The party barn had to be our favorite place. The have the coolest sound system - you can use their cd player or plug in your ipod (our preferred method) and play inside and/or outside. We had many night of karaoke and dancing with the disco ball. They even have a fog machine for the dance floor. They also have Wii to play on the big tv in the party barn. There is enough room in the party barn to sleep the entire party - but no need to because all the bedrooms in the cabin and caboose are very comfy and private. I couldn't believe that everyone had their own room and bed and no one had to sleep on the floor. The lake was a lot of fun too. The ponds are stocked with huge catfish in one and bluegill and bass in another. I would recommend fishing there instead of the lake. The most fun we had was an olympic event between the two families - we had horseshoes, frisbie golf, hillbilly golf, corn hole, water ballon toss, euchre tournament, etc. My niece planned a scavenger hunt with all the cool sculptures they have all over - that was fun too. I'm sure we will be going back. There is no way pictures can capture the beauty of all their acreage and well maintained properties.

3 family vacation

Our family loved this place. The pictures do not do it justice! We rented a pontoon for 1 day but other than that we were content with everything there. I think Davy needs to put a rail on the floating dock as some Grandpa's tend to fall in the lake. Every kid had a cell phone and was laughing so hard, no one got a picture of a wet Grandpa! (Fond memories) It rained every day but the last 2 days and no one cared as we were in the party barn or around the fire in the cabana. Totally awsome place, very relaxing and peaceful even with 2 kids and 6 teenagers. Thank you Davy and Crystal for letting us spend our family vacation in your wonderful Pine Paradise!

This place is amazing! We stayed here in May and it was just the most exciting and wonderful vacation yet! There was so much to do and see! Everywhere we turned there was something new and unique to see. This place is a "must see" for all ages! The party barn and bunk house were so fantastic! We never had to leave this place, and never wanted to once the vacation was over!
The ponds were stocked with so many fish, we caught them over and over! (and released of course:) The volleyball, horseshoes, walking paths, frisbee golf..they thought of everything! We will most certainly be back here next year!

Beautiful Retreat

Review Submitted: June 2, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We used the property for a weekend family reunion and everyone -- ages 5 to 75 -- thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The facilities and amenities are perfect for entertaining large gatherings. The Mammouth Cave National Park is close by, but there is plenty of fun things to do on the property. Highly recommended.

Not Enough Pictures!

My family and friends had an absolutely wonderful time here! There are not near enough pictures to show you everything that is on site and at your disposal. Once we arrived, we never had to leave! The cabin is super comfy and very, very nice. The party barn is aptly named, with lots of options for a great time (or you can just relax in a recliner and watch the big screen). We saw lots of wildlife including deer, turkey and even a fox. The kids had a blast shooting hoops and riding their scooters. We created some great memories that I am sure we will all look back on very fondly. We hope to be able to visit again in the future. You have an amazing place!
