We loved it here very much! Totally awesome!!

This place is amazing. At first, we were attracted by the reasonable price. Then, we were comforted by the owner's awesome and friendly communication. When we arrived in Paris, we were more than happy to call this cute and neat place our home for the next month. This places is in a very hip and convenient area. We were able to walk to the Louvre any time we wanted (about 15 mins walk). There were so many great restaurants, boutique shops (like Barbara Bui, Kabuki), and markets nearby. As if that was not enough, the place is even close to the Metro (subway)!
We were also impressed by the amenities this place had. It really has almost everything you need. The owner even stocked up the refrigerator with some food and drinks for our first day. How considerate!
If you are looking for a place to stay in Paris, you cannot do better than this one. We already recommended this place to our family and friends. You won't be disappointed.

When researching accommodation in Paris, every review I read for Studio Montorgueil gave it 5/5 - and we certainly won't be breaking this pattern! In terms of convenience, comfort and location - combined with terrific value for money - this is the place to choose! Sure, it's space efficient (but in Paris what isn't?), and it's on the fourth floor with no lift (but Laurent can scale those stairs with your suitcase in hand without even breathing hard!) - in every other respect it's perfect!

The apartment was thoughtfully and comprehensively equipped, and even in the tiny kitchen we managed to produce some wonderful home-cooked meals (so nice after being away from home for weeks!). Rue Montorgueil is heaven - great food, great wine, great people watching, great character.

Laurent couldn't have been more helpful or responsive. Every email was responded to in nano-seconds, and even our special request about finding a venue to watch the Ozzie NRL Grand Final presented no trouble - we had an emailed response within10 minutes!!!

We were met at the metro on our arrival, walked home and shown places of interest along the way, including good restaurants (and all the recommendations proved to be excellent).

Any friends or family who are heading for Paris will be given Laurent's details - for sure. We really want to thank him for helping make our Parisian stay so good!

Great location, great appartment

Renting this apartment for 2.5 weeks was brilliant! Great location, very central, buzzing at night , and alive during the day. The food market nearby is perfect for buying some lovely quiches, bread, wine etc. There is a laundrymat close by too. The apartment itself was clean, neat, and close to the Metro and not too far from the RER. The four flights of stairs will soon get you fit too.

Laurent made us feel very welcome (right down to the bottle of wine, jam and bread in the fridge when we arrived, to helping us with any questions we had about Paris and supplying extra blankets quickly when we needed it).

Most helpful of all was having a computer and internet in the room to use. This made our planning for the next day much easier, and meant staying in touch was hassle free.

In summary, since we returned i haven't stopped talking about how good "our apartment" was in Paris. Later on in our trip when we were staying in hotels we particularly missed it. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location; well maintained apartment

We stayed for two weeks in the apartment and were very pleased with the location. All the main conveniences are to be found within very easy reach of the apartment, including supermarkets, boulangeries, metro stops, bars, restaurants and cafes.

As for the apartment, we were very pleased with the level of cleanliness - everything was spotless.

The owner, Laurent, obviously takes good care of the facilities as everything worked perfectly during our stay, including internet access on the apartment computer. The apartment didn't lack anything we needed so our stay there was very pleasant.

As long as you don't have a problem with the long stair climb to the apartment, I can highly recommend it.

Where all of the action is!!

Dreaming of Paris! Princeton, New Jersey, U.S.A.

When we were searching for a place to stay in Paris, almost every location boasted "in the heart of Paris" so I began not to take this expression very seriously. We stayed in this flat for a little under a week during July of 2009 and believe me when I say that it truly is in the middle of everything!!! The location is far enough removed from all of the tourists to be enjoyable but close enough where you can easily walk to many of the most famous places in Paris! We really enjoyed our stay and our host, Laurent, was wonderful and so helpful! I cannot say enough nice things about this place! I wish I were still there!!! :-)

The description of the apartment was very accurate, and I did not have any unexpected surprises. Rather, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the apartment was much nicer, bigger and brighter than I had expected! Laurent was kind enough to meet me at the metro station and walk me to the apartment (3 - 5 minute walk), and even helped me carry my luggage.
The apartment was beautiful - I didn't want to leave! Everything was in perfect, working condition, and Laurent had left some food in the refrigerator as well. The apartment also has a computer with high-speed internet, which definitely helped me look up addresses for things to see & do in the city.
Beyond the apartment itself, the neighborhood is one of the best in the city - rue Tiquetonne is really cool, with lots of great shops, restaurants and bars (some good stores on the street are kiliwatch, le coq sportif, and WESC; etienne marcel, at the end of the street, is a cool cafe/bar); not to mention, the apartment is only about 10 minutes walk from the Centre Pompidou, and about 20 minutes from the Louvre.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone, and I definitely preferred staying here over a hotel. Personally, if I return to Paris anytime soon, this will be my #1 choice for lodging.

Paris at its best

My wife and I spent one week in this charming apartment in November 2008; there are numerous reasons why we will return and also recommend it to all our friends. The location is wonderful: an interesting and safe neighborhood with a great market street filled with bakeries and restaurants and a convenient metro stop. The apartment is small but cozy with a nice window view over a quiet street; be aware that you will exercise off all those delicious French creamy sauces by climbing the five flights to the place - sounds like torture but it was fun! The apartment also contained a good computer with fast internet access, and was generously stocked with many delicious staples for use in the modern kitchen. The owner, Laurent, was helpful and friendly; he welcomed us to Paris like we were part of his family and we appreciated it. Thanks.

Studio Montorguiel was everything we were hoping for!
The description listed everything that was in the apartment and the hospitality of the owner was fantastic. The location was fabulous with the metro around the corner, and supermarkets, bakeries and anything else you could possibly need all within walking distance! If you're looking for some good eats the street is filled with fantastic restaurants just west of the apartment! The apartment itself was a good size for 2 people, very clean and included all the amenities listed in the description.
The owner was completely welcoming and extremely helpful and easy to contact!
We would definitely recommend this apartment for couples who are planning on touring the city. If we ever come back, we're sure to stay here again!

Great apartment in awesome location, loved it!!

Review Submitted: November 10, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
I cannot give this apartment enough praise. It was cozy, neat, trendy and Laurent our host, was kind enough to leave some jam bread and beverages in the fridge which was definitely a plus. We went in November so it was a bit chilly but the apartment was always warm even after the heat was off for the whole day. There's a flat screen TV with some movies and a computer with Internet access which made us feel right at home not to mention a kitchen if you want to buy groceries to cook at home. Comfy bed also!

Now for the awesome location: The apartment is in a very convenient area with lots of restaurants and bars near it. The nearest metro is right around the corner and the line that runs there will take you to the Notre Dame Cathedral, St. Germain which is where all the great food and restaurants are, The Catacombs of Paris, Luxembourg Gardens (a block away from the Vavin stop), and St. Sulpice (think DaVinci Code). The line also goes to Forum Les Halles which is a shopping center and also to Chatelet which is a huge hub where you can transfer to other trains that will take you everywhere else (For example, the pink line at Chatelet will take you to Printemps, a huge department store, the yellow line will take you to the Louvre and Champs Elysee!)

Since we are New Yorkers and love to walk we walked from the apartment to the Louvre and the St. Honore area which took only about 20 mins. The Hotel de Ville and Pompidou center is also walkable. Great location, like I said! We're walked from the apartment to the Left Bank also... great way to discover the area.

Don't like to walk? Well right down the block (5 min. walk) is Rue Montorguiel which is lined with gourmet food shops, fruit and vegetable stores and butcher shops, pretty much a one stop market where you can pick out fresh ingredients to bring back to cook at home!!

Needless to say, I loved the apartment and we had an AMAZING time in Paris. The price and location is unbeatable... trust me we did our research! If you would like tips/pics please e-mail me. Stay here, you won't regret it.

Intimate lovely home away from home.

We loved Studio Montorgueil, it was intimate, well appointed (flat screen tv connected to cable and a computer connected to the internet.) It was a refuge to come home to after a busy day of touring. Located in a chic part of Paris with pedestrian streets and a grocery and pharmacy located close and eateries everywhere. Within walking distance of the Louvre and Notre Dame amongst other places. Two metro stops close at hand. We had the best experience and will look forward to returning to Paris and staying there again.

The owner couldn't have been nicer. He met us at the train stop and walked us to the flat which was 5 minutes from the RER stop from the airport.

You will not be disappointed and will be pleasantly surprised.
