The BEST rental ever!!!

Jolinda San Diego
Review Submitted: April 6, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
In my 60 years of vacationing we have rented many wonderful places! We own a vacation home ourselves in Big Bear, CA and have high expectations. But the Creekhouse in Sedona was BY FAR our greatest rental experience! The setting is idyllic. It is extremely private, totally quiet and the view and sound of the creek from all the rooms in the huge house are exceptional. The pictures do NOT do this place justice at all!
It's the perfect place for two, and possibly three couples, if the third couple doesn't mind not having their own private bath. The bedrooms are the size of large living rooms, have wonderful ornate but comfortable furniture, and each have their own fireplaces. The beds and sheet quality are of the highest order and because they are situated at opposite ends of the house there is a sense of total privacy. There are complete separate rooms for closets, complete with everything you would possibly need (bathrobes, flip flops for the spa, etc.). The bathrooms are huge, gorgeous sunken tubs, stand alone showers and also have everything you could want, including that great view of the creek and sound of the waterfall. The inlaid tile and marble and granite continue throughout the world class kitchen with the best appliances money has to offer and the cupboards stocked with vitals (olive oil, vinegar, coffee, etc.) If you are looking to cook gourmet instead of eating out (the food in Sedona is disappointing) this is your place...with room for several cooks in the kitchen at the same time.
The 15 minute drive to Sedona is perfect as the town has become a mad house of tourists in the last 10 years and so staying outside still retains the peaceful and spiritual energies we come here for.
The owner is terrific, very helpful and communicative and we felt honored to be trusted with such a treasure! Her artistic and decorative sense, three fireplaces, a sunken firepit along with the spa outside, an air tight stove inside along with great cental heat and air, luxury gurniture, amazing art and lighting features, make this place the home you always wanted to own! I can't recommend it highly enough!!
On another note, don't miss the river float adventure with Sedona Adventures...the kayak (funiyack) is the BEST!

Peaceful and Relaxing Setting

Review Submitted: March 21, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
My family and i enjoyed the Creekhouse at the end of each day exploring Sedona/ Flagstaff/ Verde Valley.

The wildlife (and some tame ducks) were captivating for my husband. I could sit and listen to the water flow around the mini white water rocks for hours. Check out the ruins within minutes at Montezuma's Well and Castle.

It will be difficult to choose which master bedroom you want, each has it's charm. The kitchen is ultra modern and luxurious.

I was suprised the location was out of red rock country, but the new ordinances only allow 30+ day rentals unless it's a hotel or B&B. We found out the location was just perfect for exploring all the area's attractions. And you can cook versus having to eat out every meal.

I recommend the little restaurant at the golf course for breakfast. Cheap and delicious. You will need to go to Camp Verde for grocery store or dvd rentals.

Of all the amenities, I will say the several leveled patios are the most endearing. Hawks, skunk patrol, investigative racoon, mountain blue birds, and tales of a beaver/ muscrat pair we never saw..... Every room full view of this gorgeous creek will blow you away,

Enjoy, we did!

Perfect getaway!

Thanks to Wendy for providing a perfect holiday getaway this past December / January! We found the house spotlessly clean, and Wendy was very attentive to our needs. When we needed firewood, she had it delivered the next day. We loved the kitchen - we ate in every breakfast and dinner - and the fire pit outside.
Downtown Sedona is a *short* 40-minute drive away. I say short because the drive is stunning, and it is nice to be outside of the Sedona, which was much more crowded than we had expected. In the immediate vicinity of the house you will find Montezuma cliff dwellings, and the Montezuma Well, both of which are worth seeing.
I would recommend this house for those who would like to have a hiking holiday amongst the Red Rocks, or a romantic getaway. It is best for a hot bath after a day of climbing rocks. Be prepared to cook in. The kitchen is ideal for cooking, and a car is required to reach all local restaurants. It is important to note that it is a drive to Sedona, but a relatively short one. Thanks again to Wendy for making our trip so memorable.

The description of the home does not do it justice. Received more than anticipated in the beautiful well maintained home and cottage. The owner gave great service and was very responsive. I would and have recommended this property to a friend.

Fabulous retreat

Philly family on the go Philadelphia, Pa
Review Submitted: April 1, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
Although this lovely house was further from Sedona than we had anticipated, it really did not matter. We still went to town 3 times during the week, but also had the opportunity to discover this fascinating area. The home was lovely, with a very updated, beautiful kitchen, the hot tub worked very well under the stars, and the two bedrooms were very nicely appointed. The creek was an added delight and we saw two blue herons during our stay. The home is best for two couples versus small children given the creek being so close by with too many opportunities for small children to fall through. I highly recommend this hideaway. The owners are very helpful, we had no problems at all. We also very much enjoyed the Verde Railroad (saw three eagles), hiking in Sedona's red rocks, our day in Flagstaff including seeing Saturn through the telescope in the Lowell Observatory. I would rent this property again without hesitation.

Me and some of my friends stayed here last Memorial day weekend. It was a fantastic, beautiful house just a short drive from DownTown Sedona. The owners are just wonderful people and were really willing to go out of their way to help out with anything. I highly advise this rental property.
