Perfect Villa

Review Submitted: August 26, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The villa was perfect for our family holiday. We were able to enjoy the sun all day by the pool and the children found entertainment with the pool and the games room (full sized table tennis table).

The villa is well equipped, clean and has lots of storage/hanging space.

The BBQ area by the pool, the well equipped kitchen, the stunning views and the choice of eating areas, made staying in to eat a joy.

We ate at two of the restaurants on the estate and were not dissapointed - the Swiss Restaurant served great - good value - food and the Monte Pego was a delightful experience (a bit pricey but worth it). Recommend that you book at both.

The villa is also a great place from which to explore the area and I can recommend a bus tour of the city of valencia, taking the mountain road to Benidorm and stopping at Fonts D'Algar and Guadalest on the way.

If you are looking for stunning views, relaxation and a base for exploring this villa ticks all the boxes.

Owner's Response: Thanks Jackie, your review sums up perfectly our villa and the surrounding area. We will be there ourselves shortly to enjoy another relaxing break. We never tire of the views, the super dining (in or out) & the lazy days by the pool.

Villa Alto

Review Submitted: November 24, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
It is exactly as it says on the tin!
From the truly stunning location with breathtaking views of both the mountains and the sea, through the cleanliness of the whole villa, along with the deep blue crystal clear pool to, finally, the value for money of the whole package. Breakfast on the upper terrace as the sun dawns over the mountains, a large pool with a wide sun deck for the sun worshippers and a large shady terrace giving relief from the mid-day sun for those, like me, who prefer shade. A short drive away is a golden sandy beach streching for miles in both directions with hardly a soul on it, just right for a swim or a good long walk to help the Sangria along. - magic.

Now for some facts:
It is in the foothills so driving is essential,
Drive one way and you reach the beach, drive the other and you see some of the most stunning mountain scenery around.
The villa has a games room alongside the pool so if you get bored with the pool, or view, you can play table tennis or chess etc.
We found three good restaurants within the immediate vicinity offering good food and good value.
This villa would suit all types from families through to a couple just wanting to get away from it all.

If you are in any doubt about this villa, don't be, just go for it, this villa and location is just magnificent, you will not be dissapointed.

Our stay in villa Alto in July 2009

Review Submitted: August 31, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
It was our first time in this area and we more than liked it. The location of the villa was simply spectacular, not one negative sound possible. The description of the house responded completely to our expectations, nice and clean, well equipped inside and outside. Our children as well as my mother (83) and her sister had a fabulous holiday and would more than welcome a repetition next year. Lots of good and affordable restaurants in the vicinity, nice beaches with lots of things to do! To be recommended: the restaurant 'La Boheme' located in Bella Vista with a superb french cuisine. A bit more expensive but worth every penny.
Lots of nice places in the area, Altea, Denia but certainly worth seeing Moraira with lovely terraces and sight.
Can recommend to everyone, simple a holiday to be repeated.

Very correct handling from ownerside and agency.

Villa Alto is stunning!

Tom & Jerry Surrey
Review Submitted: April 25, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2008
Villa Alto has the most stunning views. To sit on the balcony at sunset & watch the lights come on all the way up the coast is magical. There is everything here you could desire for a peaceful & relaxing holiday. Leisurely breakfast on the top terrace soaking up the sun & the views. Sunbeds on the huge terrace for relaxation (plenty of shade available as well). The pool & games room for exercise (if you feel the need). A short drive brings you to shops or miles of sandy beaches. Back to the villa for a shower & drinks before dinner in the moonlight cooked on the barbie. Load the dishwasher before a short (but steep) walk up to the bar at Bella Vista. Just stunning.
We'll be back!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review T&J. We are still captivated by the views every time we get to visit. Did you try one of the three restaurants on the estate I wonder? They all have good views along with good food.

August Holiday 2008

Review Submitted: December 15, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
It was one of the best holidays we have been on a very relaxing experience, we love the fact that you could walk to the bar , but most of our days were spent by the pool with the fantastic views, My son especially enjoyed the games room. the villa itself was lovely with all modern fixyures and fittings, if you want to eat at the the swiss cottage make sure you book early, as this gets booked up very quickly,a great place to stay

Great villa suited for all

Review Submitted: December 15, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
We stayed for two weeks at the end of June/beginning of July 2008 and had a fantastic time.
Regular visitors to the area we have stayed in various villas on Monte Pego and this has been the best yet.
Our party consisted of my father, parents-in-law, myself, my wife and our 16 month old daughter and we all had a great time.
The spacious terrace around the pool is fantastic for lounging as well as dining and breakfast is great on the upper terrace.
Panoramic views and a peaceful setting.
Bella Vista bar and restaurant a stones throw away and many others not too far in the car.
We loved the villa and are fans of the area.
We will definitely book this villa again.

Relaxing, Private and Comfortable

The Vitalyz team Portsmouth
Review Submitted: June 5, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
We stayed at Villa Alto in early March '08 and loved the experience. What a wonderful villa and it definately has everything inside that you could possibly want plus a view to die for! The sun terrace (in picture) is incredibly private which really ticked our box and there was almost no noise which is a treat after living in the city. There is a permanent outside BBQ which we used and each evening we were sitting outside for our meal with no-one overlooking us - very unusual.
The villa has it's own private parking area as you really need a hire car to get around and we would suggest having a smaller model as it is easier to park and economical for exploring all the mountains, beaches, vineyards and antique markets.
The weather was a gamble but was warmer than England and we came back with a suntan.
Top eating tip - there is an all you can eat Chinese buffet restaurant very close by which is amazing value and ideal for couples and families alike (I just wish we'd tried it earlier). Top wildlife tip - the marshes you see from the villa are full of birds: you can walk for miles and get some greta photos.
Thanks to everyone involved in renting this villa, we have already recommended it to friends and we hope to return. Zoe & Tony

Owner's Response: Thank you Zoe & Tony. The new terrace is proving a great asset & we have since added a games room on that level if you need to exercise out of the sun!

A fantastic New Year at Villa Alto

Barney UK
Review Submitted: March 3, 2008 Date of Stay: January 2008
We spent our second New Year at Villa Alto 07/08 and had another wonderful time. The open fire and stunning views especially with the fire works made it magical especially as we got engaged at midnight!

The town of Denia is lovely with some great boutiques (which Kate loved!) and cafes - I can especially recommend the eclairs at the 'posh' cafe at the beach end of the high street and Paul loved the paella at the 'german' looking restaurant in the middle. The local town of Pego is pretty and has some fabulous local produce.

Breakfast of fresh oranges, fresh bread and local marmalade in the sunshine by the pool is not to be missed - even if we did need a jumper over our PJs!

We enjoyed every minute; the mix of home comforts with the Sky TV and selection of English books and DVDs with the fantastic Spanish scenery and friendly locals is not to be missed. Roll on June when we're going back for the third time!

Owner's Response: Thanks Paul & Kate, glad you had a good time. I'm sure you'll not need jumpers on the new terrace in June!

Ideal Silver Wedding Treat

Derk Cardiff
Review Submitted: February 28, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2007
We booked Villa Alto having selected it from the Holiday Rentals web site as a treat for our 25th wedding anniversary.
I'm pleased to say that we were not dissapointed. The description and photagraphs are perfectly accurate. Villa Alto was fantastic with superb location, views and privacy, well equiped and extremely comfortable. The owners are friendly, helpful and obliging.
It was a holiday that we will never forget and we will return if only to sit and eat breakfast overlooking the orange groves in the valley below and the beach beyond.

Owner's Response: Thank you Derk, we are always pleased that clients share our passion for the delights of Villa Alto. We hope the new enlarged terrace next to the pool will add even more to the experience.

A wonderfull holiday at Villa Alto

T&E Durham
Review Submitted: February 19, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2007
The villa was Superb. Just as described, with Fantastic views, Lovely pool, well fitted kitchen, bathrooms, barbecue etc. etc.
Breakfast on the top terrace taking in the views as the sun climbs in the sky! Dinner next to the pool by candle light with the twinkling lights from the beach as a back drop!
A swim at midnight under the stars, surrounded by the glow of the underwater floodlight! Life does not get much better!
I digress!
Everything was clean & obviously well maintained. Our booking was dealt with in a friendly & efficient manner through out. The maps & guide to the villa were particularly good. There is plenty of parking for the villa which is in a very quiet location. We walked up the hill to an apartment complex with restaurant, bar, indoor pool & gym. (Restaurant & bar both good, didn't need the pool, never got to the gym!) A short car ride, on the estate, takes you to another bar & 2 restaurants of which the Swiss restaurant was our overall favourite with excellent food, reasonably priced. We went sightseeing in Valencia which is only an hour away and visited the local towns of Denia & Javea, both excellent seaside towns with beautiful beaches.
Ok now for the downside. You do need to drive & the roads into the estate are not for the faint hearted. However this is the price for the superb location & views. The nearest beach is 10 mins drive but the large private pool with terrace & personal sunbeds is 10 seconds away. The nearest supermarket is 10mins drive but there is a large fridge/freezer. If you want the beach, bars & night-life Benidorm is a better bet. If you want peace & relaxation book this villa. We will Definitely be going again.

Owner's Response: Always good to have happy clients. Thanks T&E
