Can't wait to go back!

BJWM2002 Carterville, IL, USA
Review Submitted: October 28, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We spent a week at the Sandcastle in July and had a wonderful and relaxing time. We are still talking about it. Dolphins swam by each day, saw rays swimming past while in the kayak, and plenty of other fun sea life. The sunsets were outstanding! The house was beautiful and very clean and comfortable. We felt very much at home. The caretaker was there to show us around when we arrived, was very helpful, and so nice! We asked if one of the bikes was sized for a 7 year old boy and the owners had one ready for us when we got there. We had so much fun biking around the island. The food at the Bayport Inn (just down the road) was great too! Our only regret was that we had to leave after only one week! We are planning to come back as soon as possible!

Sand Castle Lane

Review Submitted: July 30, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
This property is everything described by the owner. We have rented from Vancouver Island to San Diego and this
property is right at the top. The amenities were more than ample, and the property both clean and well maintained.
The caretaker was helpful and knowlegable about local
attractions and activities. You can't get any closer to the water than this beach house. This is Florida coastal charm at it's best, no condos here! I have already recommended this property to my family and would definitely rent this property again.

Paradise

My husband and I loved our stay at the Beach House! It truly was paradise with the Gulf view, private beach and the Key West decor. Watching the sunset on the screened porch is priceless.
The Pine Island people are very friendly.
We loved the walk to the public beach area, eating at the little hut called Walley's or going to the nearby restaurants. The owner's were wonderful; they made sure we had everything necessary to make our stay enjoyable. M&TnCheckie too

A Honeymooners Delight , The Ritz beachside

Review Submitted: April 29, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
The most PERFECT Honeymoon! The waterside deck with built-in grill was right out of a magazine. We loved our moonlit nights grilling and listening to the sea waves lapping. The private beach strolls were very romantic too.We loved riding around the island on the new beach bikes and the 2-person kayak was awesome. The house is so comfortable ,the bed is like sleeping on a cloud and the bathroom/shower is fabulous. I felt pampered and cozy and hope I can come back for every anniversary. The owners were so sweet and even sent over a congratulatory bottle of champagne!
Really words aren't enough to describe this beautiful, luxurious spot.It is the perfect blend between private and busy- when we wanted to eat out or do something more organized everything was at our fingertips, thanks to the great info package left for us by the owners. No detail was overlooked. This is the Ritz- Carlton beachside !

Winter Get Away

Marc and Dana Fremont, Michigan
Review Submitted: April 15, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Our Family had a wonderful stay at the Sand Castle Beach House. The home was like living in the pages of the Pottery Barn Magazine. The outdoor included beautiful landscaping, private ocean front, multiple deck settings, and activities and equipment. This was the perfect set up for a young family. Very functional and user friendly. Upon arriving we were so comfortable inside and outside that we didn't go anywhere else. We spent our time on the beach enjoying the tidial changes, kayaking, grilling fresh seafood, playing games, and walking the beach front. Inside and outside this property had all the comforts of home plus some (outdoor shower, laundry, full kitchen, cozy beds, refreshing showers, etc) We could have stayed for longer than a week. Thank you to the owners for pampering us.

Home Away From Home

Review Submitted: April 15, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
This was so perfect I call it 'Home away from Home' . The accommodations were very comfortable, the house exceptionally clean but the location- well you know location, Location, LOCATION ! This place beats it all. Deep sea fishing was terrific as was sipping a cool one deck side looking over the gulf and the nearby restaurants were great .

This vacation was the best - can't wait to come back!

Better than the Four Seasons!

sun chaser New York City
Review Submitted: April 14, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
My husband and I usually stay at the Four Seasons in Miami this time of year, but decided to visit family in the Tampa area instead. Renting this house was the best decision we could have made!

Beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully renovated, the house is elegant but still kid friendly. It was well equipped too with bikes and kayaks, and the property manager was available and helpful, fulfilling our every request quickly. We have two young children, and with the private beach off the deck, we were able to spend hours playing in the sand, even when our baby was napping inside the house. The area is very beautiful, like an estuary preserve with wild birds, yet there is a small and charming public beach just a few hundred yards away with a great snack bar and playground.

The house has amazing water views, and we took our meals on the screened porch every day. A separate deck at the rear of the house had sun all morning and a great grill. The neighbors were all friendly and the whole atmosphere was one of relaxed luxury.

During our trip we had escapist dreams of staying on for months at a time, wishing the house was our own! My only hesitation in writing this review is that we may not get the dates we want for next year! Thank you for making our vacation so wonderful.

Paradise Found

Review Submitted: April 2, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2008
I found Paradise when I found the Sandcastle Beach-house on Pine Island!! The house was perfect, the setting idyllic. I especially liked having lobster grilled on the beach side built in deck grill. Watching the moon set over the gulf while sipping a cool glass of champagne was perfect. The landlords made every effort to ensure our comfort. I plan to return here again and again. And it is so close to everything, movies restaurants within a few min. drive. This is definitely a 5-Star stay!

Awesome property! Best Vacation in yrs.

Review Submitted: July 8, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
The property owners were marvelously attentive to all inquires and request. They even went out of their way to find my family and I an extra kayak. The property was a picture out of Coastal Living and we were thrilled. Everything we needed was there. The view is especially great from the Florida room! The sunsets were a great and as were the dolphins swimming within view. I was surprised my teenage sons just wanted to stay near the property and the proximity of Busch Gardens did not cause excitement. We would love to go back again and highly recommend it.
