This was our first trip to St. John. We absolutely loved Arc du Soleil. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had, the house was perfect. We plan on returning for sure.

Arc du Soleil, an incredible villa!

Lucky Gal St. Louis, Missouri, USA
Review Submitted: September 2, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We stayed at Arc du Soleil in April 2009 for 5 days (and another 5 days on St. Thomas) and have already booked it again for next April - only this time we are staying at "Arc" for 9 days and skipping St. Thomas! The villa is exquisite and so are the million dollar views. The owners, Betty and Harley, have spared no expense in their attention to detail. Furnishings are beautiful, kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could imagine (and top of the line, I might add), bedrooms and bathrooms are gorgeous (you will love the stone/pebble shower floors) - and that's just the inside! They have all the high tech gadgetry, however, we never turned on the TV or sat in the living room, because we couldn't get enough of being outside on the expansive verandas (there are several places to relax and dine, including under a tuscan pergola, a pool bar stocked with 8 or 9 flavors of complimentary rum and mini fridge, and another dining area where we sat and admired the incredible sea views). The huge custom stone arch opens to the outdoor pavilion and over-sized pool. You will feel like you're living outdoors, even when you're inside! We never saw a bug and we never needed AC. This villa is truly magical and it's the perfect home to experience the island lifestyle! The tropical gardens are a botanical marvel - intimate little walkways and places to explore, with a gas grill and seating out back, too. No view is obstructed and you have complete privacy from every angle - no neighbors able to look in on you, no telephone wires ruining your view (our villa on St. Thomas had 3 poles and 5 or 6 unsightly wires strung our across the entire front of our property). Back to the beautiful pool - very large, sparkling clean and very deep - with sitting ledges and wide elegant steps to enter by the columns near the pergola. They have a state of the art filtration system (not sure that's the proper term), so you can't smell any chlorine. As beautiful as the pictures are, they can't capture how truly lovely this villa is. Upon entering the front gate, the home with it's romantic subtle lighting took our breath away, as did the view, and I knew right then and there we would find a way to come back as soon as we could!

Arc du Soleil is HOT!

Redhead4562 Newburgh, NY
Review Submitted: January 29, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
Well I am back at work in NY and when we got off the plane this weekend it was 12 degrees and snow was on the ground. So needless to say I am sad our vacation has come to an end. John and I wanted to thank you and Betty again for such a nice stay. Your home is absolutely beautiful. Arc Du Soleil is HOT! We were pretty active with snorkeling, hiking, and on our boat charters to BVI throughout the week and by the end of the day we could not wait to get back to the villa to watch the sunset and relax on the veranda. John and I always love to go out to dinner and for drinks and we found ourselves staying in at the villa every night. So that says a lot, trust me, about the comforts and ambience of your villa coming from us restaurant lovers and bar hoppers! We loved the trip to St. John and will definitely be back next year. We will also make the return trip to the Arc Du Soleil as well. We feel we will be disappointed staying anyplace else on the island. Thank you again for making our first trip to St. John so memorable by letting us stay at the Arc Du Soleil!

Oh by the way....you know how we love Kenny, well I have a good story for you. We chartered Lion in Da Sun on Wednesday and went to BVI to Willie T's, White Bay, Soggy Dollar, Foxy's, the Caves, etc. Well Captain Josh's friend captains Kenny's boat or I should say Yacht. When we pulled into White Bay on Jost Van Dyke we pulled up right along side Kenny's boat. To my dismay Kenny wasn't on the boat.....but Josh introduced us to his friend; the captain of Kenny's boat. He was chartering the boat for Eli, the quarterback of the NY Giants football team. So we met Eli which was very cool since we are NY Giants football fans! It was pretty crazy to run into a professional athlete in the middle of the USVI.
Thanks again!

The Arc is truly a slice of paradise on Earth!

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Arc du Soleil and we were completely enchanted by this beautiful villa! The view alone stole our breath away. YES, it really is that amazing! The evening of our arrival, we sat out in the veranda and just looked out over Great Cruz bay to St. Thomas, mesmerized by the island's calm and beauty, lulled to peace by the chimes hanging nearby and playing gently in the breeze.

The Arc is quiet, tranquil and private. Everything at the Arc is so well thought out, from the interior decor to the lighting to the amenities. We felt like royalty, eating dinner from the luxurious china and glassware provided. The pool is a blast, set against that gorgeous view of the island on one side and romantic Greek pillars under a pergola on the other. Everything we could have possibly needed for our stay was available, of high quality, and in great condition, from pool floats, to a step stool for the kitchen cabinets, to a hair dryer. Like I said, the Arc is really well thought out.

Our time at the Arc was truly one of our most favorite parts of staying on St. John. It was hard to leave the Arc to go exploring, and each day, we couldn't wait to come back! Thank you Betty and Harley! =)

We had a blast! Arc du Soleil is sexy! Weather was great! Beaches, hiking, snorkeling, boating, massages, and food were fantastic, but we think our highlight was chillin' late afternoons and watchin' sunset. Thanks and hope to see you again!

Cheers!!!

P.S.: Glad to some "Southerners" finally got to experience "The Arc"

Paradise, comfort, beauty and very nice owners!

Review Submitted: March 26, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
We had a fantastic time on our recent trip to St. John. The Arc du Soleil is fabulous. The villa is everything the owners describe and more. It is gorgeous, tasteful, very comfortable and very clean. New appliances, audiovisual equipment, plumbing and electricity all work perfectly. The position and design of the home and the ceiling fans kept us cool and comfortable at all times of day and night. The private pool was an absolute delight and big enough to work out in. We watched exquisite sunsets in the evening, barbecued on the fabulous grill and enjoyed the privacy this house has to offer. But if you prefer a more active vacation, there are several very good restaurants in the nearby town of Cruz Bay

The owners were there to welcome us and get settled. They offered wonderful hospitality and advice. We always felt they were accessible and we liked them very much. But honestly, the house is so terrific and well laid out that you won't need any help.

You will want to rent a vehicle if you stay here as it is a little ways outside of town. There are beautiful, clean beaches nearby with lots of vibrant marine life if you like snorkeling or diving and wonderful waters for boat activities.

For people with physical challenges, the house itself is accessible from the back and there are only two steps into the front door but there are several stone stairs down to the pool.
