Best vacation of our life!

We had a wonderful time staying in Bologna and loved our Due Torri apartment. The location was phenominal - so convenient to all the major attractions in Bologna. The neighborhood was very safe and close to wonderful restaurants, world class shopping, markets and the train station. We were within walking distance of everything we needed and close to the train station when we wanted to travel to other cities. The apartment was very clean, well equipped and extremely quiet - everything we needed for a home away from home for two weeks.

Many thanks to Pietro for his wonderful hospitality. He made the whole experience, including our research and booking, so enjoyable. We hope to return again!! Thanks for everything and for your kindness to our daughter!

Basic, clean apartment in very central location. Airport bus stops very close by. Quietly situated on courtyard very close to Via Rizzoli right in the heart of the old city. Handy for shops & restaurants. Pietro, the owner, met us on arrival & was very friendly & helpful.

Communications with the owner were excellent and Pietro was extremely helpful and friendly when I arrived. The apartment was exactly as described: small but spotlessly clean, with pretty much everything needed for a short stay. It could not be more central, but is also quiet (facing into a central inner courtyard). The station was about a 15-20 walk away; the markets, deli's, university and central square were all on the doorstep or a few minutes walk. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent apartment with a wonderful location. You are in the heart of central Bologna -- now our favorite city in Italy -- and within a short walk of all of the sights, restaurants, bars, etc. It is also an easy walk to the train station for side trips. The apartment is small but fine for two people. The building is safe and quiet. the owners are lovely people who greeted us warmly and gave us many good suggestions for our week there. We strongly recommend Bologna and Due Torri.

Our excellent experience with rental of Due Torri

This apartment was exactly as advertised, in a fantastic location in the historic center of Bologna. The apartment itself was very clean, bright, safe and comfortable. All appliances and light fixtures looked fairly new and worked well. The bed was comfortable and the the bedroom was quiet at night due to its location on an interior courtyard and not the street. A word of caution to those with physical impairments or large luggage - there are 2 flights of steps, elevator not available. It was not a problem at all for us, but could be for others.

Within a 10 minute walk there were many dozens of excellent restaurants and cafes, shops, and tourist sights. We were able to walk almost everywhere, including to the central train station, but there was also a bus stop less than 1 block from the flat for longer journeys within Bologna. We took several easy day trips by train to Modena and Ravenna during our stay at the Due Torri.

Part way into our week long stay my husband developed a painful tooth abcess. Not knowing who else to call, I contacted Pietro, the owner of the flat. In less than 3 hours, we were met at the apartment, and escorted (car and driver provided!) to a friendly and competent English-speaking dentist. We could not have possibly asked for nicer or more responsive service. We were astounded and most appreciative.

It is without hesitation that I can recommend this apartment and the very kind and helpful ownership.

I stayed in this apartment for three straight weeks in May and June of 2008, and had a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic, about a five minute walk from all the major attractions--yet because it is located in a pedestrian zone, the apartment is very, very quiet, something that is essential for me.
One of the best things was that for the first time in 25 years of spending lots of time in Europe, this was the first time I didn't need a car. We took many very easy day trips on the train to places like Venice, Ferrara, Parma, Verona, and Ravenna.

I got to know the guy who sells the newspapers (by my second visit, he knew which Italian paper I preferred), the cafe owners, and several waiters and one owner in two local restaurants. There are many excellent restaurants and historic sites within a few minutes' walk.

It's true that the apartment is small--though it's perfect for one and fine for two though maybe a bit crowded with a third adult (but fine for a child)--but all the necessities are brilliantly arranged to save space. The kitchen is actually hidden behind of wooden curtain which, when pulled shut, gives the room more of a "living room" feel, since you can't see the kitchen. Everything was spotless when I arrived, and the building is an excellent and safe one.

Pietro and his wife Anna are wonderful people and very hospitable. If I needed the smallest thing, Pietro would rush to fulfill my wishes. I stayed there a week alone, and when he heard that my girlfriend was staying with me the final two weeks, and that my sister and brother-in-law were staying in a nearby hotel at the same time, he and Anna threw a wonderful dinner party in our honor at their home in the country.

I have rented apartments all over France and Italy for twenty years and this was one of my best experiences ever. Pietro is a great host and ever ready to help, but when you want to be left alone, he can do that too. I don't think he speaks much English (we spoke in Italian), but I'm sure his good will and enthusiasm would make up for any linguistic difficulties. Highest recommendation.
