HONEYMOON

Review Submitted: May 7, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
My wife and I celebrated our belated Honeymoon at Maison LeBlanc Estate, what a welcome sight the villa was along with the great views. The Hoist and Hostess made every effort to ensure our stay was the most enjoyable! If you are looking for the true island feel along with security and privacy then I strongly recommend this condo “Sorry to sound like a salesman”. We just had a great time at the beach below the Estate, which was exactly how it was described. We also shared some Great Waho with the Host (Jamie) and Hostess (Luisa). The only thing to remember is Keep Left!
Owner's Response: Another great couple, We try to please our guest. the beach they are speaking of is just 5 minutes below the house. it is never crowded and the snorkeling is good. The Wa Hoo is a fish, fesh caught that day. We threw it on the BBQ, delicious. Keep left means , we drive on the left side of the road.

Wonderful stay

My mother and I went to St Thomas for my brother's wedding. We were on a tight budget and I found this condo/villa which was perfect. It's a large villa that has three rentals, each very private. The rooms were very well appointed, bright, comfortable, spacious and very relaxing. It was very nice having a kitchen so we didn't have to go out every meal and the "Food Center" is about 10 - 15 minutes away. The view is to die for. WOW! From your private balcony/patio you can look out over the quiet hillsides dotted with white villas, or the beautiful Frenchman's Bay and watch the cruise ships coming in and out, watch the sunset while sipping a Pina Colada, or just gaze at the blue waters of the Caribbean. It was so quiet and relaxing. No noisy resorts or cars to deal with, just you and the soft ocean breezes and birds singing to you. James and Luisa are great, the perfect hosts. They helped with directions and where to go and what to do, what to spend our time on and what NOT to waste our precious time on. If you want a quiet place where you can just enjoy what you come to an island for, this is the place.
Owner's Response: Another great guest, We try to give advice to suit each of our guest desires. We manage the property and live on site. Here if you need us and absent when you dont.
A rental car is best for the islands, the taxis are expensive.
The smaller the car the better. Contact us for the best rental rates for cars.

How can you beat this?!!

We were lucky enough to have 2 weeks to escape from our Upstate NY winter to Maison Le Blanc above Frenchman's Bay for a romantic Valentine's Day get-away to the islands.

The property, accomodations and pool are beautiful, just as described on the site, with expansive ocean views (WOW!) and grounds that are well kept and landscaped, with a really nice selection of island flora. Ask to see their Hermit Crab Condo in the back yard--it's lots of fun. As with most of St. Thomas, the road leading to the property is narrow, steep and winding, and driving is on the left side. We recommend renting a vehicle to get around the island, but try to get a small, 4 wheel drive car or SUV, if possible--we ended up with a midsize car, which was difficult to navigate in some areas.

The owners,James and Luisa, live in one of the units on the property. They were awesome--very helpful in providing recommendations, directions, and good information and feedback about which beaches were most worth seeking-out for our mood and style, the best places to dine out(or get delicious local food for take out--ask about the Food Center!), shop, take a tour, or visit. They were not at all intrusive, and we genuinely enjoyed the times that we spent with them.

In 2 weeks, we spent time on 10 different beaches, including the ones that we visited during a boat tour to Virgin Gorda BVI and a day trip, via car ferry, to St. John's USVI. We had a memorable Valentine's get-away, and we would gladly return to Maison Le Blanc again. We will recommend it to our friends as a quality, relaxing, and value-priced alternative for anyone seeking a week or two in St. Thomas.
Owner's Response: Another great couple. As stated we hve lived here since 1995, We can give you the ins and outs, as for what to do. A rental car is best for the Island and the smaller the better. Each guest has a private parking place on site. Working in the hotel industry for the last 11 years, we can help you book any and all activities you desire. We sare on site managers, here if you need us and absent when you want privacy.

Very good view and very clean. The owners are very warm people.
Owner's Response: Thank you, This guest chose not to have a rental car, and elected instead to take advantage of our pick up and delivery service. , much more affordable and pleasant than a TAXI

Our Dream Vacation

Jacque and Gary Austin, TX
Review Submitted: February 16, 2008 Date of Stay: February 2008
The property is gorgeous and has the perfect view of the cruise ships arriving in the morning and leaving at night. Every morning was spent watching cruise ships, sailboats, a submarine, hummingbirds, native birds, and drinking coffee. It was so peaceful that we never saw a sunrise; just slept right through them!
Jamie and Luisa are the perfect hosts; attentive when we needed something and absent when we wanted privacy. They are friendly and we enjoyed several nights just visiting with them on the deck.
I recommend renting a car to visit all of the beaches on the island, then return to your private pool and deck to watch the sunset. The property is centrally located which made it convenient to get to our daily activities on the island. Jamie met us in town on our first day so we could follow him to the house. Once we mastered the left-lane driving and made a few wrong turns; it was easy to come and go as we please.
We definitely would stay here again and look forward to our next trip!
Owner's Response: It was a pleasure to have you both stay in our Villas. It makes Us feel good to know you enjoyed our home and our Island. Your welcome back anytime.

Perfect

Property was clean, cozy and comfortable. The natural beauty and exotic wildlife like hummingbirds, native species of birds, lizards and plant life is located all right here especially in the morning and dinner time. You have to see the hermit crabs too, they are everywhere and seem like pets, they race down the hill when you put food out for them.

The pictures you see online are the exact pictures of what you will see and do there everyday. What they do not show is the afternoon showers that leave you breathless because of the rainbow 100ft from your porch that extends in a 3 mile arch from one hill side to another with a breathtaking view of the valley below.

James and Luisa were awesome to us both and made our honeymoon one that everyone should expect and have. To say they were nice is a understatment. Most locals are beyond friendly and a simple "Good morning, afternoon or evening" will go very far. Everyone is so happy all the time.

We will be going back again since there simply is not enough time to do all there is to do in 1 week. You can revisit every year for 5 years and still have new and exciting adventures.

There is alot to do but remember it is a vaction and don't lose sight of that. Enjoy the sites, the views, the food and native experience. It is a whole experience and relish in it but most of all don't forget to relax!
