the perfect holiday

We arrived in a thunder storm and woke up to find ourselves in heaven. We could not have asked for a better place to relax and wind down from a very busy summer. The Villa had everything we wanted, comfortable beds, superbly serviced and appointed, a swimming pool that we found very hard to leave every day. The Turks are a very friendly race as you will see by taking a simple walk to the centre of the town, great places to eat, and shops to die for, and all that before you get to the sea and the magical boat trips. We found after a while we woke in the morning before the call to prayer so we could look over Kalkan and soak in the atmosphere.
We will go back again, and if you are visiting this site, go to Villa Kismet, you wont be disappointed.

Owner's Response: We are so delighted you had such a good relaxing break. October is such a lovely time, the weather can be a little changeable, but still warm with lovely sunny days and less people around.

we had wonderful time at the villa which we thought was fantastic. Situated within easy walking distance of Kalkan the villa is a most stylish and comfortable place to stay. I would highly recommend it.

this fabulous villa ticked all the right boxes. The pool area was just fantastic, total privacy. Location was excellent just a nice walk into the town, not at all strenuous. The interior of the villa is extremlely well furnished and the extra large couch is great for lying back and chilling out. All in all this villa is all you could ask for and more. We have booked for next year.

A trip to Paradise

Villa Kismet - all I can say is wow, this villa is like something from a dream and more. Arriving late evening our group (4 of us) walked down the steps to Villa Kismet in awe. We couldn't quite believe that we were staying somewhere so fabulous. Our group consisted of me and my boyfriend along with his dad and uncle. The villa was ideal as we all had our own room and ensuite bathroom which is just what we wanted. The balcony had a fabulous hamock and swing and we had to resist the shimmering pool as we we were hungry and wanted to eat out, We visited the town, a short 10 minute downhill walk and as this was our 2nd visit to Kalkan stopped to say hi to old friends along the way, all whom remembered us from the previous year. The next morning was so excting as we discovered the villa all over again in the sunshine.

There are so many restaurants its difficult to choose where to eat and we've yet to have a meal we haven't enjoyed. The rooftop restaurants, friendly staff and most beautiful. The food is fabulous and fairly priced and the service second to none. The setting and views make Kalkan a fairy wonderland - its just magical.

Kalkan can be as active or as quiet as you like, We spent the 1st week of our holiday relaxing at the villa and enjoying the pool with walks into the village, the villa has every amentiy you could require and really is a home from home. The second week we ventured out on boat trip to the Sunken City in Kekova,a canoe trip in Patara, swimming with Dolphins in Kas it was wonderful. And at the end of each day we retired for a siesta in the (air conditioned) villa - perfect.

The villa provided beach towels, hairdryer, an iron & ironing board and was extremly clean and well maintained. It was cleaned once a week and the garden and pool cleaned and watered daily by Irfan a wonderful man who is extremly helpful and has lots of local knoweldge. There was a welcome pack left for us milk, wine, bread, cheese, coffee etc which was extemely useful on our first morning.

The villa owner Gillie was extremly helpful - quickly answering all my questions and providing me with all the details i needed as well as organising the transfers from the airport to the villa and the return journey.

Overall the villa, Kalkan, the people are exceptional - the only down part of the holiday was having to come home. I'll be recommending this to all my family and friends and cannot wait to return - Kalkan has stole my heart!

A charming, spacious villa overlooking Kalkan and the sea. It is very well maintained and clean with all modcons including wifi. The rooms are tastefully furnished and comfortable. Oustide there is a great pool (care needed with very young children or non-swimmers) and garden which is secluded from other properties. We went as a family and it was perfect. Our first visit to Turkey and already planning to return.

Kalkan is a short walk and has extensive restaurants and shopping in quaint cobbled streets and harbourside. People are genuinely friendly and helpful. There is much to do locally and further afield. Highly recommended.

Villa Kismet is truly the most amazing house-every room is very spacious and every need has been thought of. The pool is just idealic with its BBQ area and is lovely and quiet-the only noise being the occasional laughter of children coming from the school which was a happy sound. Karyn sorted out our every need even fixing the satellite TV at 10.30 at night so we could watch the European cup final! Irfan loked after the pool and garden and was lovely too. It in a good location, lovely views, near the bus station and market. As its up the big hill a taxi was sometimes needed at the end of the night but that wasnt a problem theres plenty of them waiting at the bottom and they are good value. Restaurants are mostly all fantastic especially Sofra, Belgins Kitchen and Aubergine (although the latter quite expensive).

I would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone especially families or 2 couples.
