The holiday was great. Your web site was completely honest.. We swam in the sea every day, went for long walks, explored Split, went to Krka for a day, Makarska and the Cetina Gorge for a day, explored Kastela, and spent quite a lot of time just walking around or having coffee in Trogir, which is very beautiful. I liked Split. It's its own place - take away the tourists and, by and large, Split would still be Split.

One of the highlights for me was a day on Hvar, which is extraordinarily beautiful in the interior. We stopped at an isolated restaurant and went walking off-road, following paths through all the walls and piled up stones, smelling all the wild thyme, fennel, rosemary, ate figs picked from trees we passed, came across little shrines and, miles from any habitation, the most extraordinary tiny little stone chapel, no more than 10ft by 10ft, with a beautiful altarpiece painting. I am no expert in these things, but it was old and stunning.

Wonderful holiday in the Glavica apartment!!! Fully recommend coming here. We did not have a car and it was so easy to get around. However, if you are unable to walk up a steep hill then a car would be necessary.

Lovely apartment, fantastic area and cannot wait to come back!

Just returned from a week in the Glavica apartment and we were very impressed. The apartment is clean and well equipped and has a wonderful view of the sea.
Although the hills are quite daunting we soon got used to them and found some short cuts so we didn't do too much hill walking! The beach area is lovely but watershoes are a necessity, be warned they are much cheaper in Trogir market than the beach side huts! Also 'shop around' when hiring sun beds as they differ greatly in price! There are some lovely restaurants in Okrug Gornji, our favourite was Leonardo's at the harbour where we had excellent mixed grilled fish, it can get quite crowded though. Trogir is fabulous, literally an amazing town, you can get lost in it's tiny streets for hours! Good food to be had in Monicka's with excellent service. The bus to Split only takes an hour and is quite pleasant until you reach the outskirts where the horrible tower blocks and industrial plants mar the landscape, however, once you get to the harbour and Diocletian's Palace you realise it's well worth the visit. Big thanks to Dragica and Ivica for the pick up at the airport and for letting us know where the local services where. All in all a brilliant week.

The apartment was clean and well equipped although we did no cooking whilst there. We did not have a car so a lot of walking was done. This is fine if one is fit and active but would be difficult for some as the apartment was at the top of a very steep hill and the temperatures were high. Some trips/services were unavailable ( such as the ferry to Trogir) as we were at the beginning of the season. A good bus service runs between Ogrug and Trogir which we made use of. The sea water was beautifully clear and beach areas not crowded. We found the locals helpful and friendly. The airport collection service worked perfectly.

We had a great time, the apartment was as described and had everything we needed. The area was really nice and perfect for a quiet relaxed break. A 10 min bus ride gets you into Trogir which is a great town with plenty to see. If you just wanted beaches then a short walk down the hill right outside the apartment is the sea if you walk along a little there is a small beach with trees for shade I would recommend water shoes as the beach is a pebble one.
Duga is another little beach worth visiting, about a 15-20 min walk away, quicker if you don't have a 3 and a 6 year old with you! Just go to the main road turn right and follow the signs.
The care taker couple were lovely, I would recommend the airport transfer and would have no problem recommending this to a friend.

Well kept apartment

lovely apartment, perfect for two people. Nearby Trogir is amazing, great restaurants and lovely little city. The apartment is quite a way out from the main goings on, so you need a car. A few shops and bars maybe 10, more like 15 mins away...but it's a nice walk along the brach to get to them.

We stayed for five nights in September 07. The apartment was clean and bright, perfect for our requirements. The beach was close, although down a very steep slope so not ideal for those with disabilities- but being so high up gave beautiful views.
The local people are incredibly friendly and the restaurants in the village all served extremely good food at very low prices. The food is very Italian and the seafood in particular was excellent.
The beaches were quiet and well served by the bars dotted along the front. Also incredibly clean and picturesque.
Trogir was nice for a few nights out although quite touristy and it's about an hour on the bus from Trogir to Split- well worth a visit, especially the historic centre.
We fully intend to revisit this area, although next time with a car to get to some of the national parks, although we managed quite well without one for our short stay.
We were picked up and dropped off at the airport by the lovely husband and wife couple who look after the property- they were so welcoming and spoke excellent English (unlike our very poor Croatian!).
In all a perfect first holiday together...
