GREAT PLACE AND EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY

This small but compact apartment which is really ideal for two people was well presented and along with it's fully equiped kitchen and bathroom would suit any guests choosing to stay in London.
The foldout double bed was comfortable and was easily folded away to give your more space in the apartment.
The location is excellentm close to a supermarket, pubs, bus stop and underground. The nearby attractions are London Bridge and Tower of London both within walking distance.
We can recommend walking both sides of the Thames although a medium level of fitness would be required.
We would highly recommend this property and its location.

Best studio apartment i have stayed in UK. It is very clean and very good value for money. I stayed there for 2 weeks and would stay again in 2011 when i return to London. It's a quiet area, close to Tower Of London and St. Katharine Docks 10 min. walk to Tower Hill station. Highly recommended.

A perfect base for our London holiday

Brissy girl Brisbane, Australia
Review Submitted: January 8, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2008
My sister, daughter and I spent two idyllic weeks in London and were so happy to have found this lovely little apartment! Everything was as described and the studio was both clean and very well maintained. The shower was fine; the water pressure was quite sufficient. The fold down bed was very comfortable and the linen was clean and in good condition. We particularly enjoyed our walk to and from the apartment each day past the ornamental canal and St Katharine's Dock. A terrific supermarket, Waitrose, was a short walk away and the 100 bus was very useful. The compact kitchen was perfect for preparing meals, snacks etc. Linda was particularly helpful when we had trouble with the TV, a little problem which was easily fixed. We appreciated the bread, milk and wine - a nice touch. We would have no hesitation in returning to this little gem on our next trip to London and have already recommended it to friends who are planning a trip. Kate, Brisbane, Australia.

Great alternative to a hotel or hostel

10-Day Stay Melbourne, Australia
Review Submitted: October 22, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
This property is exactly as described - clean, larger than a hotel room and less than a 10 minute walk from Tower Hill station. All bathroom amenities and some food supplied. Yes, the water pressure in the shower is not the best, but you can still shower!

I think the person who wrote the negative review is seriously deluded about the standard of accomodation it is possible to get in central London for this price!

I will definitely be recommending this apartment to anyone travelling to London.

Perfect,peaceful retreat for 2 people,as the sleeping for 4 would be too much all in one room[Unless you are a close family, or very good friends}
Apart from that, the flat is bright, clean, well equipped & in an idyllic situation being well away from passing traffic.Well within walking distance of most attractions, if you enjoy walking & the weather is kind.We are both in our 70's & walked back from Trafalgar Square one afternoon via Westminster Bridge, South Bank, The Globe Theatre ,where we had a seat for 3 hours watching The Merry Wives of Windsor, before a quick look round Tate Modern, and strolling back to the flat via Tower Bridge & St. Katherine's Dock.
Should you need to use the underground , Tower Hill station is a short walk away & also Docklands Light Railway for Canary Wharf, where Museum in Docklands is well worth a few hours. Try to avoid returning around 6 p.m. or you'll be caught up with all the office workers, "rush hour", & be squashed into train compartments-Ugh!!
The proximity of Waitrose is good & another shop in Wapping which sells groceries, newspapers etc with late closing.
All in all I have no hesitation in recommending this flat to my friends & family.

Perfect for our needs

sunnysunflower Brighton, England
Review Submitted: August 29, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2007
We were on a 2 week course in London Bridge and wanted to stay nearby but not in a faceless (and expensive) hotel. From the first point of contact with the owner to the moment we moved out I would be hard pressed to fault our experience.
The description & photographs were accurate & facilities were as described. The property wasn't immaculately clean (the bathroom in particular) but nothing that a bit of bathroom cleaner wouldn't solve (and to be honest I would have cleaned it anyway!). It was relatively well maintained - again, the shower wasn't brilliant but it appears that it may have been replaced. We did have a problem with the toilet not flushing but one call to the owner and this was rectified.
I would definitely recommend this property to a friend. The provision of a parking space was fantastic (not that the car was used for the time that we were there! Public transport links are great and we walked almost everywhere anyway). Large supermarket 5 minutes walk away, several restaurants within walking distance (especially recommend Lillys on Wapping High Street), pub around the corner - this really was a home from home. The neighbour did tend to have the TV a little loud but no worse than a neighbour in a hotel. We used the property last November and it was warm and cosy.
We especially enjoyed the walk through St Katherine's Dock, crossing Tower Bridge and the walk along the Embankment every morning and evening (with the added bonus of stopping off at Starbucks in the dock for a coffee on the way home each evening.

Underrated gem

Jennifer & Kip Portland, Oregon, USA
Review Submitted: July 23, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
My husband and I spent 8 nights in this lovely flat. The pictures on the web site do not do it justice; it is much better than it appears. It was very clean and well-equipped.
The bed was comfortable enough, and the new futon was pretty swell. We also really loved the ability to do laundry after already traveling for 2 weeks!
Anything you could want is within close proximity (stores, pubs, parks), as well as many surprises within the flat itself (The kitchen especially. We loved seeing what others had left and deciding on what we would leave!).
I am an American who used to teach in Basildon, Essex, and the flat provided perfect access to the train lines so I could visit former students, have a night of fun in Southend, attend a West Ham United match, etc. It was a 7 minute walk for us to Tower Hill, I can't imagine it being more than that.
The Tower Bridge is a short distance away, as is a lovely walk all along the Thames from Embankment to Westminster. If you ever get too tired, there's a Tube stop just about everywhere.
I would just say that if you are someone who can enjoy the normal comforts, you would love this flat. If you are more accustomed to being spoiled or put up in some posh resort, don't bother. Nothing would make you happy. We were extremely pleased with our stay and are looking forward to staying again in the future.
The next door neighbor was extremely friendly and we only noticed TV noise on the first night. I think he toned it down the rest of our stay because we got along so well. Just be pleasant and I think you'll be okay.
