Reviews of Property: Aquatika Best Spot-Few Steps from Beach & In Front Of Water Park Internet Avail.

Our family of 4 (boy 8 and girl 4) plus grandmother stayed at this unit in Aquatika the last week of February and had a wonderrful time. The complex is well-maintained, and the pool network was great for kids. It has a neat slide, but it was open only on the weekend. The Aquatika complex was virtually deserted during the week, but busyier on the weekend.

I would recommend this property to a friend without reservation. The unit was as described. A pool table and roof terrace made hanging out in this penthouse unit very comfortable; our 8 year old son learned how to play pool.

Our owner & realtor could not have been more helpful- despite arriving after midnight, about 4 hours late, the owners met our flight & escorted us to a 24 hour grocery shop for basic provisions, and then to Aquatika.

You need a car to grocery shop and local restaurant options in Loiza are very limited. 2 different local recommended "restaurants" were closed; one looked like it hadn't been open in months/years.You need to drive east to Rio Grande & Fajardo or west to San Juan if you seek "action" or reasonable options for restaurants. For us, it was a great getaway. Loiza itself is relatively poor, and the Aquatika complex is like an oasis- provision yourself & never leave and you'll have a great time.

With a car, you are well located to sightsee not just San Juan but most places on the east side of the island, including the El Yunque rainforest & access to Vieques & Culebra & all that bioluminescence.

The beach was fine without being spectacular- you have to be aware of some rocks in the surf if you swim. Luquillo Beach in Rio Grande is both excellent & very close (10-15 minutes by car).

All in all, it was great. High recommendation- we plan to return.

This place is the real deal !!! The facilities are compared or even better than a luxury hotel. Aquatika lives up to its name with various pools to chill out. It also has a nice little beach. Tha apartment was very cozy and comfortable. Plus it was very very clean. What an excellent choice !!!

Estuve en Aquatika en febrero y ya quiero regeresar. Mi familia de 6 personas pasamos las mejores vacaciones de nuestras vidas. La ubicacion del apartamento es la mas impresionante del proyecto en el mismo centro del parque acuatico. La playa en febrero no es muy buena pero aceptable. En cuanto a limpieza el apartamento estaba perfecto, equipado con todo lo necesario, dvd, radio para i-pod, internet, cable tv, el servicio del dueno super eficiente. Lo recomiendo y volveremos.

We stayed at this property for 1 week in November 2008 and had a great time. The apartment is really spacious and well equipped. The best part was the terrace with awesome direct views of the ocean and the water park! The building is new and well maintained, they were always cleaning; more importantly it was a really safe place with secure access to the beach. The beach was really nice. The location was great, in front of the water park steps to the beach. We will definitely rent this property again!

I have just returned from Puerto Rico after a 5-day stay in the fabulous Aquatika resort! There were no gangs, no crime, and no gunshots! My husband and I had a rental car and drove through Loiza at 3AM, 3PM and several other hours of the day. Despite what other posters on this board say - Puerto Ricans are nicer than most Southerners I've encountered in Atlanta. Yes, the area is poor, but these people are also working people. We drove through Route 187 at 4am and 5am and the streets were EMPTY. Loiza was peaceful, quiet and I truly enjoyed my stay. However, it is not a tourist area and there aren't bars and restaurants that cater to tourists. If you have a rental car and a sense of adventure to cruise other areas of the island - stay in Loiza for relaxation at the Aquatika resort. I cannot say enough about the resort. Fabulosity at it's finest! Ritz-Carton eat your heart out! Oh yeah, and the Puerto Rican men are HOT!

I fully recomend to stay in this apartment is really a nice one. Everything inside the apartment is like new , clean and well mantaing. When we where there I enjoy the view from the apartment to a beautiful aquatic park with a slide you can hear the sound of the water. In the morning you can relax watching the pool and the ocean while drinking a cup of coffee. Is like being in heaven and touching the Sky. During the night i enjoy stay at the terrace from there you can have a view of the ocean, the rain forest Yunque and all the sourroundigs even cruises. There is a lot of breezze. The terrace is a nice place to take a drink, share with family or friends or even to be alone reading a book or just doing nothing. There is a lot of thing to do walking around, swimming,playing a the mini golf,tennis bascketball, kajaking, sand volleyball. The owner Alonso is a very proffessional person nice to try with.
