Great base for a visit to NYC

This apartment is really great for a visit to Manhattan. It's really spacious, there's loads of room for the bed, sofa/TV area and dining area. The kitchen area and bathroom are all good too, everything is very clean and new.
The area is great as a base, it's a lovely, leafy Chelsea street with shops, cafes etc round the corner in this relaxed area. There's still some hustle and bustle, so you get a real taste of NY life here.
You can easily walk to Greenwich Village from here too and the subway is close by.
There's a lovely patisserie on the corner of the street too and there are quite a few good places to eat a block away at 8th Ave.
The construction work across the street was no problem, they work during normal work hours which is fair enough.
Marion was very helpful and I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a visit to NY.

We stayed for two weeks in September 2008 and it was fabulous. Location is great, very central for sightseeing but far enough away from the real tourist areas so that you get a real NYC experience. We felt so safe being out and about later at night also. Lots of restaurants and cafes to visit as well as a few supermarkets and convenience stores.
Marion was super helpful and very friendly. As mentioned by others there is construction work across the road but it wasn't anything that a couple of earplugs couldn't solve! Besides when you're sight seeing you want to be up and out and about to soak up all you can from the city.
Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to family and friends. Thanks Marion!

Lovely apartment in a great location

The apartment was brilliant - awesome location and very clean with all you need in the apartment for a home away from home. Owner was away but ensured full refund of deposit was back with me early morning on day of departure and called to ensure I received it. My mum and I enjoyed our stay and my brother who was staying in a hostel uptown regretted not having the same idea of renting an apartment (and at a cheaper rate!!). One minor hiccup in that there is apartments going up across the road with work starting at 7am throughout the week so not really able to sleep past then.

We were thoroughly delighted with this property. It's a great intro into city living and is in the best area if you spend a lot of time in Chelsea. Everything was clean and the owner is an absolute joy to meet and deal with. I've already scheduled my next visit and look forward to many more.

This apartment was great. It looked just like the pictures. It was clean and spacious. The owners were wonderful to work with and always responded promptly with ample information. The apartment is near the police station and the neighborhood is beautiful to walk around. I would absolutely love to stay there again!
