Fabulous location; comfortable unit

We recommended this unit to our best friends, and they are on their way. It is located centrally in Recoleta one block from Santa Fe and Callao. It is a three block walk to the subte, and two blocks to buses that we took. You are in the middle of a very pleasant neighborhood, for restaurants, book stores, banks, even hair salons and supermarkets. The owner, Sebastian, is responsible, a lawyer, speaks English, and responsive. The property description is accurate in all respects. It is new, clean and well maintained and has everything you need. The one and only negative is the lack of any views from the windows, with windows facing other buildings and not panoramas. But, for a city apartment, it was relatively quiet as a result.
We appreciated the hi-speed wireless internet, so that we could use our laptop to surf the internet 24/7 which kept us in touch. Sebastian met us at the apartment upon arrival and gave us the password and stayed until he knew we were logged on and properly set up. The TV and DVD player were a plus, and there is a small CD stereo unit too.
The style is modern and somewhat minimalist, not plush or cushy, so you have to like that. We did.
They supplied (lent) local Buenos Aires guidebooks and we appreciated that too. Overall, we felt like we had our own apartment and could live their comfortably. We would shop in the local supermarket and have breakfast at home in the morning. We were out all day experiencing the City, and would return in the evening to rest and change clothes and have a snack and a drink, and then go out at night for dinner and bar/show/tango or whatever.
The weekly price was quite reasonable and included one time cleaning while we were there. There is an option for more cleaning but we didn't feel we needed it. There is a clothes washing machine but no drier in the apartment so you can wash but then have to air dry. There is no dish washer, but all other appliances such as microwave, toaster, juicer, etc.
Our daughter attends the University of Belgrano and she lives in nearby Bario Norte and we would take a cab to her apartment for 6 or 7 pesos.
Overall, we highly recommend this apartment and its owner Sebastian.
