Wonderful trip

This place and location in the Recoleta was fantastic. The pictures and description are accurate. We felt like this was our home away from home. As the other review mentioned, the view isn't that great but the frosted covered sliding doors allow light for a cheerful environment. When we arrived we had a fruit basket and a refrigerator with drinks, what a nice touch. We will definitely stay there our next trip.

January 2009 hot weather but very cool apartment

Fremont San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA
Review Submitted: February 3, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
The “Accommodations & Amenities” were accurately described and I agree with the other comments below. Traveling alone, the most important was safety and location. The tree lined street was very nice and only few blocks away from shopping, etc.

The apartment fit my style (minimalist) but nothing was lacking, Sebastian thought of every detail to make my stay very comfortable. Since January is very hot, my other concern the A/C. There are two A/C units, and they are very quite and efficient. The kitchen was wonderful, the washing machine a plus, the bed a dream, and a shower I didn’t want to get out of. I had the maid service once and it was outstanding. Since I’m not a city girl, it took me a day to tune out the elevator noise; it did not disturb my sleep. The apartment and neighborhood was very quite. I look forward to my next stay.

Best location from which to explore Buenos Aires

Flufy California, San Francisco, Bay Area
Review Submitted: January 15, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
The description and photos are an accurate representation of this Recoleta gem. It is perfectly situated for walking access to Recoleta, Retiro and Microcentro. The neighborhood is clean and feels safe. There is a fine selection of restaurants within an easy distance. Shopping for food and necessities is convenient and Santa Fe is the big shopping street in Buenos Aires. Avenues Challo and Sante Fe are only a block away. I had a great time in Buenos Aires. This location was what made it so easy.

November 2008

Apartment is exactly as described on the site and in a great location. It is stylishly decorated & in impecable condition. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Drinks in the fridge on arrival , fruit & a range of guide books are all lovely touchs that set it apart from other apartments. Good range of English TV channels & superb air conditioning.

The owner, Sebastian, is a welcoming & charming guy who accomodated our slightly early arrival, helped us with taxis to the airport & responded very quickly to a small problem we had in the apartment.

The apartment is nice & bright but there aren't views - This is reflected in the price though & I think its good value & definitely recommend it!

The apartment is wonderful. It is in a great part of Buenos Aires, is clean and comfortable, and Sebastian is the perfect host. We were there ten days and would gladly have stayed longer. I recommend it to anyone who really wants to connect with the city.

This is a great apartment, very well situated in Buenos Aires. Close by shops, museums, walking distance to almost everywhere.

The apartment itself is very comfortable and beautiful, clean and neat. The pictures posted on the internet are exactly as the apartment is.

I would rent again on my next trip to Buenos Aires, and the hosts of the aparment are very warm and helpful people who are in contact with the customers at all times.

Thanks for making our stay so special.

Fabulous location; comfortable unit

Frank & Carol Northern California (Bay Area)
Review Submitted: July 22, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
We recommended this unit to our best friends, and they are on their way. It is located centrally in Recoleta one block from Santa Fe and Callao. It is a three block walk to the subte, and two blocks to buses that we took. You are in the middle of a very pleasant neighborhood, for restaurants, book stores, banks, even hair salons and supermarkets. The owner, Sebastian, is responsible, a lawyer, speaks English, and responsive. The property description is accurate in all respects. It is new, clean and well maintained and has everything you need. The one and only negative is the lack of any views from the windows, with windows facing other buildings and not panoramas. But, for a city apartment, it was relatively quiet as a result.
We appreciated the hi-speed wireless internet, so that we could use our laptop to surf the internet 24/7 which kept us in touch. Sebastian met us at the apartment upon arrival and gave us the password and stayed until he knew we were logged on and properly set up. The TV and DVD player were a plus, and there is a small CD stereo unit too.
The style is modern and somewhat minimalist, not plush or cushy, so you have to like that. We did.
They supplied (lent) local Buenos Aires guidebooks and we appreciated that too. Overall, we felt like we had our own apartment and could live their comfortably. We would shop in the local supermarket and have breakfast at home in the morning. We were out all day experiencing the City, and would return in the evening to rest and change clothes and have a snack and a drink, and then go out at night for dinner and bar/show/tango or whatever.
The weekly price was quite reasonable and included one time cleaning while we were there. There is an option for more cleaning but we didn't feel we needed it. There is a clothes washing machine but no drier in the apartment so you can wash but then have to air dry. There is no dish washer, but all other appliances such as microwave, toaster, juicer, etc.
Our daughter attends the University of Belgrano and she lives in nearby Bario Norte and we would take a cab to her apartment for 6 or 7 pesos.
Overall, we highly recommend this apartment and its owner Sebastian.

I recently rented this lovely apartment while visiting my daughter who is studying in BA this semester. The accomodations are very comfortable, it was nice to have a home to go to at the end of the day not just a hotel room. The apartment is in a very safe area of town, just a short walk to a main street for cabs, buses or the subte. There are several restaurants and cafes within a short walk of the apartment. The owner is very gracious and helpful. If and hopefully when I return to BA I would definitely rent this apartment again it made my visit to BA a fabulous experience.
