Lovely Villa + Great Location = Perfect Vacation!

Kristallize Abaco, Bahamas
Review Submitted: July 28, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
Our stay at this villa was absolutely perfect! It was like a home away from home. It's a really nice house, tastefully furnished, with all the amenities - Central A/C, fully stocked kitchen, fitness room, swimming pool, games for the kids, TV, stereo and the list goes on.... The owner even allows you use of their bicycles and kayaks! Everything you would need to make yourself comfortable and keep yourself entertained is right there at your disposal... My toddler son really enjoyed his stay, he felt right at home, he normally is not very comfortable in hotel rooms..... The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. So long as you have a car then it is a very convenient location, far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city, but just a few minutes away by car from downtown Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas Blvd and the beaches. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful three weeks at this beautiful villa. Perfectly located to go to the beaches, to the river walk, to Miami beach and to the Everglades. The house is well equipped, very cleaned and stylish. The garden around the pool and the house are very tropical. We also enjoyed the exercize room ad well as the kayaks and bikes. We have already made a reservation for another three weeks next summer.... very happy about that!!!

We were impressed with the property, it was as described, spacious, clean and immaculate throughout. The pool area was pleasant and the area was very quiet. The house came fully equipped with everything that you would need - a home away from home. It is conveniently located.

Ft.Lauderdale Vacation Home

I enjoyed my stay at this comfortable house right on a canal in Ft. Lauderdale. The pool is great. It is wonderful for swimming laps and for the children to use while waiting to go to the beach. The exercise room, kayaks, and games for evening and rainy days are a big asset. We liked to grill our supper and sit by the pool in the evenings. It was a great place to relax. It was certainly clean and has very modern appliances.

A wonderful time

It was convenient, comfortable and charming. Just the break we needed. I-95 being right near by enabled us to get down to the Sony Ericsson open in Key Byscane in a half hour. I was never a pool fan, but I must admit I enjoyed being able to take a dip first thing in the AM and last thing in the PM. We had a wonderful time and plan to stay there again for the 2010 Sony Ericsson.

We enjoyed Florida

We enjoyed our stay at your house very much! The house was very clean and comfortable. The pool and landscaping in the backyard is beautiful and most relaxing. I loved the flowers and it was so much fun to watch the geckos scampering around the yard. We loved cooking on the grill and enjoying our dinners on the deck under the stars. Thank you so much!

Poor house

Neris Aust Agder, Norway
Review Submitted: July 16, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We arrived this Ft Lauderdale home after staying one week in a five star unit in Kissimmee that was even cheaper. It was kind of shocking to find out that the pool wasn't clean and full of bugs and we couldn't use it. Inside the house there was a sofa that almost fell apart and the pillows in the bedrooms was so dirty and growse and there were no sheets. After a couple of days we finally found some clean sheets in the dryer. We actually stayed at a hotel in Miami one of the nights because we didn't feel comfortable at all. We tryed to tell the owner how we felt but it didn't help. Unfortunately we can not recommend this house to anyone.
Owner's Response: The only legitimate complaint relates to the one bed that was missing sheets. That was due to the fact that our normal caretaker had a family emergency and there was a miscommunication with the substitute who thought only the beds in two bedrooms needed sheets instead of all three bedrooms. Contrary to the review, this problem was immediately addressed upon notification by the renter.

The pool was cleaned by a professional pool service one day before the guests' arrived. The same company did an inspection following the complaint by the renters and took photos, which clearly indicated that the complaints simply did not have merit.

Also: it should be noted that the most prominent complaint addressed to the owner after the renters had possession of the house for three days concerned an iguana that was spotted by the renter in the canal by the dock. The renter wanted a refund because he said he did not feel safe to leave the house at night. It was explained to the renter that iguanas are as much a part of the tropical nature and are as harmless as the many beautiful wading birds that frequent south Florida and there was simply nothing to worry about.

In order to ensure quality control and to maintain the highest standards of hospitality, the house is attended on a regular basis by a gardener, a professional pool cleaner, professional cleaning service and pest control company. In addition, two maintenance men are also on call 24 hours along with the caretaker to address any problems that could potentially arise.

We Love This Place!!

I have family who live in England & every time they come & visit this is the place we stay. The house itself is beautiful, & very well taken care of. The owners without a doubt, take pride in making this the perfect holiday home.
The bedrooms are roomy & comfortable, very cozy. The kitchen & dining area is very spacious, & you feel at home here. All the appliances are "user friendly" which is brilliant! The gym is a lovely asset to the house, there are so many lovely restaurants in the area so it makes you feel less guilty knowing you have the choice to work it off when you get home!
The swimming pool & it's area is very relaxing, it looks out onto the water & has a dock for a boat, which is nice. The pool is large, very clean, with a lovely garden surrounding it!
I-95 is about 5 minutes away, giving you easy access to Miami, West Palm Beach & all other areas of Fort Lauderdale.
Close to great malls, the beach, fine dining/casual restaurants & lots of other activities. The house is located in a lovely neighbourhood, which is nice for bike rides & walks in the evening. Will always go back here!!

Fantastic, a pleasure to stay there.

We stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Villa for the first two weeks of July 2008, it’s very nicely located in a quite suburb and backs onto the canal, it’s spacious with 3 good size double bedrooms a large living/dining area, well equipped kitchen with a fab dishwasher, the utility room has a washer and dryer that are large and user friendly so you will be well equipped, there’s even a gym to work off those extra pounds of over indulgence. It is very clean and well maintained; the owners obviously pride themselves on a keeping it to a very high standard and look to continually reinvest as there was new decking out back and a new awning too. The pool is great with lots of sunshine all through the day and there is a large dock on the canal if you’re fortunate enough to own a boat. It’s about 20-25 minutes away from Miami and is very well positioned for other places of interest like the Flamingo Gardens or Vizcaya House and plenty of good Malls for the shop-a-holics out there.

All in all a very pleasurable holiday was had staying there and it was a shame when it was time to leave, I would definitely give it a 5 star rating. And would most certainly recommend it and use it again - I’m certain we will be back.
