The house was beautiful. Exactly how it looks in the pictures.

We flew into Dublin and immediately drove to Fanore. The drive was easy and we arrived in about 3 1/2 hours. The house was welcoming and Anna arrived to welcome us and explain the layout and details. She was welcoming and wonderful.

There were 7 of us and the house was more than big enough as every couple had their own room and bath. One room did not have a shower, but besides this small thing which was easily worked out, it was perfect.

We ate a few times down the road at the blue pub (the name escapes me, but it was great), The publican (owner) even gave us some of his brown bread for breakfast. What a great guy. Also try to visit Monk's Restaurant which is north along the coast, great seafood.

We were easily able to see Galway, the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher and more. We even made longer day trips to see things like the Dingle Peninsula and the shrine at Knock. Those made for long days, but were doable if you did the short days in between.

While we were visiting, the owners were staying at the stone house next door and they were delightful to meet. We felt very lucky to meet them and they showed us the stone house which was also breathtaking and great for a smaller group.

Over all, we loved our experience in Ireland, and the bridge house was a large factor in a great trip.

Fantastic accomodation in a magical location!

The area is simply spectacular, the people are warm and enjoying, and the home is charming and relaxing, with a view like no other.

A must do for any visit to west Clare.

Thankyou for the friendship and hospitality!

I wanted to take the opportunity to send you my thanks for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy your Bridge House in Fanore last week.

Everything was simply perfect and we were overwhelmed not just by the high quality and comfortable nature of the house but also by the hospitality of everyone we had the pleasure to meet throughout the week. Our hosts who greeted us and the people of Fanore were absolutely the best. Sometimes in the fast paced world we experience as USA residents, we lose sight of how kind, warm and welcoming folks can be. Fanore was a wonderful reminder.

The area is so unspoiled and beautiful I can't imagine staying anywhere else when (not if) we visit again!

Many thanks again!

There is an Irish belief that once you go to the
Burren it enchants you and you can never leave. We
certainly found that to be true. Even though we had
to get back to our "regular" lives, we will always
carry the Burren with us. It was the most magical
place we have ever been. Besides the gorgeous
sunsets, the stark beauty of the landscape, the
fascination of the sea, and the amazingly friendly
people, both the Stone house and the Bridge house
were perfect. Their charm and comfort were
everything we could have imagined. It felt like
home. Every view from every window is a
photograph. The gardens are full of wildflowers and
both houses are stocked with great music, books,
and enough great beds, towels, cooking utensils,
and dishes to support an army! There are many day
trips available from the area if one hasn't seen the
west coast, golf courses within an easy drive, and
lovely restaurants within 20 minutes. But why
bother? Nothing was as good as Fanore. Every day
was a new adventure, a new beauty, and a new view
of the area and ourselves. We can't wait to go back!

The Bridge House and the local area were just as we had pictured them to be. The accommodations were perfectly suited to our family of 8, including 2 6-year olds. It was a great jumping-off location to visit such sites as the Aran Islands, the Burren, Connemara, Cliffs of Moher, Rock of Cashel, Bunratty Castle, Dingle Peninsula and others. The house was very comfortable and we were so pleased with everything there.

This was a truly amazing area for us to explore. We never ventured away from a triangle that was Galway at one point, Ennis at another and Lahinch as the third. One side of that triangle was the Atlantic, a view with which we awoke and went to sleep every night. Every trip was a day trip, whether it was playing golf, exploring the area or simply going to a livestock auction in Ennis. The people are warm and wonderful and in combination with the scenery and things to do, this trip became when of our most memorable adventures. If you have the opportunity to rent the bridge house and don't, you have made a tremendous mistake. It is an absolutely wonderful "home base" for your trip to Ireland.

We are happy to share our praise for the Bridge House and our fabulous vacation in County Clare! The thoughtfulness in the building and furnishing of this home is evident throughout and we feel very fortunate to have been able to enjoy it for eight days this summer. My husband and I delighted in the solitude of the setting and enjoyed several wonderful hikes in the burren directly behind the home and up the hill....to see horses, ancient stone walls & buildings, native vegetation and just a handful of homes was such a wonderful break from our overdeveloped coastal areas. We really felt like locals as your gracious and delightful neighbor, Anna, invited us in one evening for a traditional meal with the Stone House guests. Our four young adult sons found the walk to the beach and the surfing there quite a great experience and the walk to the pub, the market and the new Holywells (Italian) trattoria a just reward for the invigorating sea and hike! We all found the home very comfortable---we had many a Scrabble game after seeing some awesome sunsets---and can still hear your collection of Irish music running through our memories. The home is a great base for sightseeing in County Clare with several great golf courses just 1/2 hour away---needless to say we had a marvelous time!

More than these words can describe; just stunning. Great for a family Holiday. The house is country home perfect with a welcome attitude. Lots to do in the area--but something real special to come home to. Five stars!

Thanks again for renting us your wonderful house. We all loved it - whoever designed and decorated it should take a bow - what a wonderful job. We all thought the house was gorgeous - the views unending and spectacular. The house had all of the conveniences North Americans love disguised as a simple Irish cottage.
We were concerned about renting it in March but it was great. The weather was clear and bright most of the time -very little rain but cool (not cold though) so it was just a great way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day! The village puts on a great St. Patrick's Day parade from the beach to the pub that is charming. The people are friendly, our kids loved the animals and climbing to the top of the hills.
We hope to return soon.
