Great place for a single female traveller

Review Submitted: September 14, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
I stayed here whilst attending a conference in Holborn.
I was very impressed by the flat. It was very secure and had everything I needed for the time I stayed there. The space is ideal for eating in and the rooms well proportioned and spacious.

The location is excellent close to shops, restaurants and tubes and the bedroom was very quiet at night and I am a light sleeper. I heard nothing from neighbours above or below except the front door opening/closing which meant I was undisturbed.

The flat is clean and well maintained and well equipped. Key collection and handover was very smooth

Overall I would recommend - the flat is great value and compares well with hotels in that you can eat in and save considerably on expensive eating out - certainly I now have the bug for flat rental and plan to go back in the future

Owner's Response: It's good that Krista has the "bug" to come back. Now it's YOUR chance to discover this great location. Thank you. Mike.

Great Apartment in Great Location

Review Submitted: July 23, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
The apartment fulfilled expectations and presented as described. It is in a very convenient location, very quiet and clean. Had a great stay, would definitely recommend the apartment to others and hope to stay again when next in London.
Additional note:-We utilised the d2d (door to door) bus service from Heathrow. Although this takes longer than underground and train services it was very convenient as we did not have to worry about hauling the luggage around.
Owner's Response: Great news that its door to door from Heathrow. Thanks for the info, Anita, and I hope that you'll give the flat another try in the future. Cheers. Mike.

Great apartment in Central London

Review Submitted: July 14, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We stayed in the Upper Berkeley flat in May 2009. It was a great location, very close to subway, Hyde Park, and Oxford Street shopping. Just a short subway ride to all London's major attractions.

The apartment was as described, and it was clean and well maintained. We had no trouble getting the keys from Lena, and she was very helpful, as were the shop keepers at Totos. Also I had good communication from Mike. :)

I am very glad we decided to stay at this flat, and would definitely recommend it to friends, and will stay there again when I visit London!

location trés ageéable pour un séjour de tourisme

jacomitarza Ajaccio, Corse, France
Review Submitted: May 12, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009

Mike.

Emplacement idéal

Bruno et marie Grenoble, France
Review Submitted: April 18, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009

Owner's Response: Thanks to Bruno and Marie for their review. I am returning to the flat for another maintenance visit in May. Your issues will be investigated and corrected wherever appropriate. My objective is that everyone enjoys their central London stay. Thank you. Mike, Owner.

Excellent Value in Central London

Jonse Cardiff, Wales
Review Submitted: November 1, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
Myself,my wife and my daughter stayed for two nights in this apartment and I have to say it was excellent value for the price paid.
It`s not often you can put reasonable and London in the same sentence, but Mike has certainly achieved this.
The flat is clean and warm and as far as i`m concerned thats all you need.It is a great base for exploring ALL of London. If I had one minor grievence,it was the slightly noisy boiler, which went on through the night, but thats a minor point.
All in all our experience was great and I would definately return to this accommodation. Many thanks Mike for providing a nice place to stay at a great price.
P.S I had no problem obtaining the keys from Lena and she was most kind in providing details of local landmarks to see and good places to eat in.

Owner's Response: Thank you Steve, for your review. I am at the flat now and I have put the new boiler on a timed sequence that reduces the slight central heating noise to nearly nothing. No worries and I'm pleased that you enjoyed your stay.

Cosy nest in Central London

Dipenpal Sidmouth, Devon
Review Submitted: October 8, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2007
I have stayed at the flat on several occasions over a period of 10 years and found it to be well managed and very comfortable. It is in such a convenient location and has all the amenities anyone could need for a short stay in London. It is in a good state of repair and due to the recent installation of new boiler, there is always plenty of hot water keeping the flat cosy in the winter. It is so wonderful at the end of a busy day to return to the welcome of an apartment that has become a home-from-home.
In spite of its location in the centre of London there is very little street noise and the bedroom is very quiet.
I have recommended it to several friends over the years and I have received their profuse thanks. I give it full marks!

Great Area - Next to 'Little Lebanon'

LynnAlasdair San Francisco
Review Submitted: July 15, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
Despite the confusion trying to get the keys for the flat (best to make an appt with manager with exact time of arrival), we enjoyed staying in this comfortable flat. The flat itself is pretty clean and decently appointed (not great), but is in a great central location minutes away from the Marble Arch tube and Hyde Park.

The best thing about the location is its proximity to the Edgware Road with its fab Lebanese restaurants and community. Very bustling with people smoking hookahs in the outdoor cafes. Great Lebanese grocer a couple of doors down from flat.

Somewhat dodgy wifi access from the internet cafe on corner, but free. TV a bit difficult to work out but so centrally located you do not need to spend much time in flat. Weird that fridge is in the bedroom, but still would recommend this flat for price and location.
