Blissful retreat

Fearless Adventurer Phoenix, AZ
Review Submitted: June 24, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
The owners of this property are great people, meeting and visiting with them was a lot like visiting long lost relatives. Jackie and Mike both went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as pleasant and comfortable as possible. There are two rental opportunities on the property. We rented the cabin, but for future purposes asked for a walk-through of the suite. Both were equally clean, well equipped, comforting and well worth the cost of the stay. Though my husband and I only got to stay for a brief romantic retreat, we plan to make another trip with the family later this year. I have also recommended the property to all my friends and family as "THE PLACE TO GO". All words and pictures fail to capture the true beauty and allure of this wonderful hideaway. We did a tour along the south rim on our motorcycle during our stay. The sightseeing opportunities are limitless. I would recommend this place to anyone! Whether you are planning a secluded romantic getaway or an extended family holiday vacation, this is the place for you! Being from Phoenix, the fact that the temperature is so much lower in the summer is a huge benefit. I cannot stress enough how wonderful our stay was or how much I am looking forward to visiting again, hopefully for a much longer stay next time. I am so glad we found this particular site! We could not have asked for more. We have lived all over the country and in the process have stayed in a wide variety of accommodations. In my experience, there is no place I would rather stay than here.

Winter Wonderland

Four Children Peoria, AZ
Review Submitted: January 26, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
I just want to thank Mike and Jackie for allowing my family and me to experience a wonderful Christmas. Since day one when we arrived they made us feel very welcomed; and even put up decorations and a Christmas tree for us. The five days and four nights we spent there were incredible and soooo relaxing. My four children and friend's son had a blast in the snow. Everybody had a great time! I've made my husband promise me to take me back again this year. So Mike and Jackie, I hope to see you guys soon and thank you for having made it a very special Christmas for us. Thanks again and God Bless you!

Don't Tell Anyone

Review Submitted: October 21, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
Dear Jackie and Mike- First and foremost, I would like to thank you for the absolutely wonderful stay at the Soaring Eagle Ranch.  The view, the stay, and all the accomodations that came with our room, were breathtaking.  The first night there, we were making supper, when we discovered we had forgotten salt and pepper.  I opened a cupboard and found an entire selection of spices, including salt and pepper.  But wait, it gets better.  These folks have not forgotten a thing.  After pounding the mountain-side from sun up to sun down, I haven't slept that well in 20 years.  I will be buying the same matteress for our home.  We are a family of hunters, with two teenage daughters.  Everyone enjoyed and relaxed in the space.  It was truly heaven on earth.I really want to keep this place to myself so please don't tell anyone.  We will be back for certain.

This place needs to come with a warning, "Caution, staying here can be highly addictive!" My son and his wife, my wife and I (along with our "grand puppy") spent a wonderful 3 day weekend at Soaring Eagle Ranch and had a wonderful time. I wish we had a week or two instead. It is a hunter's paradise too. I've seen Bull Elk and cows, huge mule deer, some white tails, and Turkey. Plenty of small game to with tons of rabbits, squirrels and even some very wily coyotes and crows. I haven't seen the raccoons yet but I've seen their tracks. Whether you shoot with guns or cameras, you will come back with some treasures. It is a hiker's paradise and a ATV/Side by Side adventure spot with miles of trails. If you want to do both then ride north to the end of one of the many trails and hike down into Jack's Canyon where there are no roads. If activity is not your thing then just kick back in the shade on the patio and enjoy a cool breeze, a cool beverage and a lazy relaxing day. But don't blame me if you have to make another reservation after your stay. I guarantee, however long you stay won't be long enough. The owners, Mike and Jackie are more than helpful and the place is very clean and has all the comforts of home too, for those who want to be near the woods (2 of the property lines are National Forest) without sacrificing the creature comforts of the big city. If this sounds like paradise, then check it out. Jeez, I sound like one of those condo selling telemarketers. Just try it, you'll like it.

I would like to thank Mike and Jackie for a wonderful time. They welcome you just as they have known you all your life. We had everything we needed, we did not want to leave. Long walks with the dogs and with other visitors. Lots of trails and roads to explore. And believe me 2 days is not enough time. You will be making another trip to the cabin. I look forward to our next trip to visit in the winter. Thanks again. God Bless Dan & Annie

Our one week stay was a week of rest, relaxation and renewal. The setting is private, quiet, and beautiful. We loved the time, and our dogs were in a K9 wonderland. And, our hosts were the best.

8/30-9/1/08 You couldn't have asked for more welcome then at Soaring Eagle Ranch. Lots of room in the suite and the guest house is huge. We had no worries, lots of things to do or just take a nap like I did. Lots of walking and you don't run into anybody, what a change from the city. Nice get away from the heat of the Valley. We will definitely be back. Went to The Community Church and they greeted us as if they have known you all your life same with Mike and Jackie, give it a try. Thank you again Mike and Jackie oh yah, dogs loved it too.
God Bless, Dan and Annie Bashore

What a beautiful place to unwind and relax. The
cabin was like a home away from home. We felt we
were welcomed by the owners. They were always
gracious and accommodating. We enjoyed walks in
the woods and the nights were cool. There was no
sense of time or worries. We are ready to make
another visit to this lovely place. We really did not
want to leave. Thanks Jackie and Mike.
