nice experience

We had a wonderful week in Porto Alabe. The appartment is located just on the beach with the most beautiful view from morning to late evening. The beach is not crowded and perfect if you like "space" around you enjoying the water and the sun. We had all our meals on the terasse enjoying the view. You can make great tours in the area. Bosa is romantic and offers authentic italian charm and not too many tourists. The family owning the house is friendly and very helpful. A great stay with kids.

Just to tell you.....we had a wonderfull holiday in Sardinia. It is a really
beautiful island and we made all kind of trips....visits in Alghero, Tharros,
San Leonardo, Cagliari etc. etc.

We enjoyed the apartment and more....the great sea view. There was hardly
anybody in the village which made us think we were at the other end of the
world...watching the sea and grilling fish on the barbeque.

The apartment is well furnished and clean. Bosa is nearby and a very nice place...

We and our children (9 and 10 years old) enjoyed very much our holidays at Porto Alabe. The appartment is exactly as described on the homepage of the owners. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the
environment was very calm and peaceful. Especially, we loved the
big terrass with the wonderful view over the beach.
The weather in April did not allow "beach holidays" each day, we therefore discoverd the complete North/West of Sardinia - and we found, that Sardinia is a wonderful Island not only for Beach holidays, but for Sightseeing too.
We would like to recommend this appartment to everybody!

The property was perfectly described by the owners and was clean, well maintained and had everything that we needed for a comfortable week (had to take own towels though).

The location was ideal for a quiet holiday. The steps from the property took us straight down to the beach which was very quiet (end April) and although the seas were a little choppy some days we were able to swim when it was calmer.

Porto Alabe is a very small town/village with a couple of shops and restaurant. Bosa is a 5 - 10 minute drive away and there you can find a few supermarkets, small shops, cafes, restaurants etc. This is not an area to visit if you like lots of nightlife, it's for a relaxed, chilled-out holiday instead. You definitely need a car if you are going to stay in this area.

The whole area was beautiful and the apartment was a great base. Sitting on the veranda, doing a barbecue and watching the sun set was perfect.

We had a fabulous time and would diffinitely stay in this property again if we are lucky enough to get back to Sardinia.

My experience of this property is it was exceptional, the apartment was clean, tidy and well set out and had all the require cooking facilites. The customer service from the owner was again exceptional, the local people were very accommodating to our needs. Although we visited out of season there were still a couple of bars / restaurants which again catered for us superbly well.
I would not hesitate to recommend this to anybody.

We had a very nice stay in this house in early april. Very beatiful situated in a small village. The beds where comfortable and had nice new furnitures. Very clean!
Most of all we liked the big terass with a long stairway down to the beach.
The weather was a little bit cold and rainy in april but the house was warm.
Hiring a car is higly recommended. Two pizzerias in the village but resturants in closeby Bosa is recommended.

We stayed here in May 2006 and enjoyed it so much we returned with friends in May 2007.

The villa's location is great - right over the beautiful beach at Porto Alabe. The views are wonderful. The beach is perfect for sun worshippers and young families as the sand is soft and in the sea, the shallows are warm and gentle.

There are plenty of coastal walks from Porto Alabe and things to do if you have a car. The trip to Alghero is spectacular, well worth doing and short enough to go for dinner and come back. Nearby Bosa has sme excellent restaurants and is very pretty by the river.

The birdlife in Porto Alabe is wonderful too with nesting Bee-eaters at the end of the road and an abundance of other colourful and enquisaive smaller birds. The flamingoes down the coast near Tharros are nearly as beautiful as the ruins themselves.

The weather in May for us was warm and sunny after a blustery couple of days at the start and Porto Alabe wonderfully quiet but open for the start of the season.

Giancarlo and his family are so friendly and welcoming. The people of Porto Alabe are so nice too, I has mislaid our passports in the village and one of Giancarlo's friends knocked on our door the next morning - before I knew I had mislaid them - to give them back to us.

Both holidays have been the perfect blend of relaxation and exploration of the beautiful Sardinian countryside. Porto Alabe is a perfect location for this and Giancarlo's apprtments and villas are second to none.

We have been to many placed in the meditterranean and these Villas in Porto Alabe are up there with the best places we have stayed. Highly recommended.
