Great holiday?

I would happily recommend this property to any one looking for a comfortable place to stay with plenty of shops and restaurants very close by.

The house was exactly as described and the owners are very friendly and helpful. I was looking for a place to stay in the Bronx for a week and after looking at the reviews of the nearby hotels thought id look for a house to rent. I was a bit unsure what the house would be like as it was in the Bronx also what the area would be like so went with a open mind but am happy to say everything was just fine.

The house has everything you could want and is decorated nicely and is very clean. Te area seems safe enough, we were walking through the streets late at night, and it seemed quite safe. The area has plenty of stores and places to eat.

I will happily stay here again.

My family which consisted of 2 adults and 3 teenagers stayed in this property for 1 week in July. The location was perfect about a 5 minute walk from the 6 train (which takes you all the way to Brooklyn Bridge) on Buhre Avenue. We bought a $27 ticket which covered us to use the train and bus for the week..

The house itself is cosy, spotless and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The 3 teenagers were delighted to have a TV each to watch their programmes and just relax in the evenings after a long day sight seeing. We felt very safe in the area and everything was close by - pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants, launderette (you can drop your washing and collect it in 2 hours folded up and smelling of roses).

Marina was a wonderful host, she gave us a tour of the area in her car on the first day and also provided us with plenty of leaflets and maps and was always at the end of the line when we needed her.

We would highly recommend this property and if we visit New York again would not stay anywhere else but this house.

I recently made plans to go to New York to visit and I was searching online for a place to stay and came upon this wonderful house in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. Once I contacted Marina, she replied right away and was available every time I sent her an email which believe me must have been about 6 times a day with all my questions. When I called her she answered the phone right away. This is comforting to know that you can rely on Marina. I sent the security deposit and the same day my plans fell through for my travel plans to New York and within 5 minutes Marina sent my refund back to me. I was SO amazed by her quick response and can not stress how trustworthy she is. In a time when there are to many hidden fees and not getting your full deposit, I was pleasantly surprised. I recommend this house to anyone traveling to New York and needing a place to stay! Marina - thank you!!!!!

This wonderful house is the best you can get,if you want to stay in NYC. It is in a great area,just a few steps away from the subway,the grocery store and restaurants. The neighbourhood is very friendly and even my parents from germany,who don´t speak english very well, weren´t afraid to walk around in the evening. The house is fully equipped and has everything you need. Marina and Tom are so nice and helpful,and the best, just a short call away. So,if you need someting,they will be there immediatley. Marina even called a fey times,just to make sure, we have everything.
The next time I come for vacation,I will definitely stay there again.

Do yourself a favor and stay at this house. Stop looking right now, and just book it; you will be far beyond pleased. Also, this is TRULY the best deal when it comes to financing your trip. Both my friend and I came in under budget, in of all places, New York. If it wasnt for this house in this neighborhood, we would have spent so much more in expensive restaurants in Manhattan, with food that would have just been ok. If you want a real New York experience in an old neighborhood like the one you grew up in, this is the place. Safe, quiet, families on the same street, and above all friendly and helpful people everywhere we went. No exceptions; every last person we met was kind to us. Even when we came in late at night after seeing live music (near 2am) we still felt safe walking the streets of this Bronx neighborhood. This was pretty important since we were two girls on our own. Tom & Marina are outstanding people, and made us feel more than welcome. Everything was close by, just as promised. Tom & Marina, we had a great stay with you. The house is beautiful, immaculately clean, and a great neighborhood. We loved that your neighbors were so friendly, and came to chat with us outside. And Vito's deli up the street? Well, let's just say that we loved it so much, I want to get married there! Everyone was friendly, everything we needed was less than three blocks, and taking the 6 train couldnt have been easier. We saw everything, did everything, we ate, we drank, we laughed, we cried (from laughing so hard). From start to finish, you made this hands down the BEST TRIP and FAVORITE VACATION my best friend have ever been on, and we have traveled quite a bit. We both got back home and missed the house, we missed the neighborhood, and we missed New York City. Tom & Marina, words couldn't thank you enough for your hospitality & kindness, and giving us a warm, safe place to call home while we were there.

Our stay in New York was a great adventure for our annual "girls weekend" getaway. Marina & Tom were welcoming and accommodating. They made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location was quite convenient -- just a subway ride away from everything. I would definitely recommend this home to others.

What a wonderful place to call home while visiting the "Big Apple". We visited there for two days in October and everything was perfect. Our party consisted of two couples and it was super. Tom and Marina were the perfect hosts and they certainly have done a great job making this the place to stay while visiting the New York City area. We are on a 90 day road trip seeing the backroads of America and this was a great way to remember New York. Keep up the great job Tom and Marina.

If you are looking for the perfect place to stay for your NYC trip then LOOK NO FURTHER, THIS IS PERFECT!! Believe me, we looked for weeks on all of the rental sites and hotel sites for places in all 5 burroughs as well as New Jersey and we are very happy that we found this rental. YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER PLACE TO STAY AT THIS PRICE--PERIOD!!!

My wife and I brought our 4 boys (ages 3-8) to NYC for vacation and were very pleased with the house and especially with the owners. The house was very recently completely remodeled and everything is clean and new including new appliances, furniture, kitchen utensils--everything. It was spacious enough for the 6 of us (much better than paying 2-3x the money for a cramped hotel room). The home is located in a quiet neighborhood just 3 blocks from the Buhre road subway station for the 6 train. This will get you to anywhere you want to go in the city- a weekly pass is $25. Travel to all the sights in NYC is very easy from this location. We never felt unsafe in this neighborhood, even walking the children home at night from the subway. You will be a few blocks away from a large grocery store and there are several restaurants, taverns and stores withing a couple of blocks. Even a Dunkin Donuts near the subway station for morning coffee and donuts.

The best part, though, is the owners- Tom and Marina. They live closeby and so they were easy to get in touch with and were very concerned that we had everything that we needed. They went WAY above and beyond to be sure that we were comfortable. They were also eager to give advice on local attractions and how to get around the city. They even supplied city maps, subway maps, travel guides, etc. They are really great people and we are glad that we met them.

So, don't hesitate. Book this rental today!! IT IS PERFECT!!
