Almost Ideal place to stay

Spent two weeks with my wife and infant son. Very kind and helpfull house keeper. Offered a medicine from her own first aid kit when our son felt fever and pharmacy was closed. Ideal place to stay with a kid. There are baby high chair, cot, toys in there. Exit to pool has baby lock gate, so you can leave a baby playing on a balcony with out fear. Clean and silent inner court with a pool big enough to swim. Everything you need is in reach of hand: beach, supermarket, windsurfing center, bus stop, cafe...
Good taste collection of DVDs and books on English.
Highly recomended for every kind of person (windsurfers, families, old persons).
One minus is for cockroaches and tiny ants. But as I was told it`s a curse of El Medano.
Hope to return there again.

A Great holiday

The apartment was a fantastic price and lived up to it's decription. Close to all the resturants and bars (which varied from really good value for money to a little pricey in a few ) and a short stoll to the beach. The pool was spotless at all times with cool water for the hot weather. As El Medano is known to be breezy(but still hot) be carefull to use good factor suncream. On the high street a fab supermarket in the Mall, has everything you need. For cheap wine but not rough to taste the other supermarkets on the high street are good approx: 3 Euro for a bottle.
A good cross selection of tourists mixed in with lots of locals, we will be back. The fella had a blast windsurfing.
Try the OTC for hire kit, on the end of South beach, really cool there, have a web site called OTC Windsurfing for more details. Have a great holiday.

Great apartment

Fantastic apartment. Spent 2 weeks there in May 2009. It has everything you could want and is centrally located. It is a just a stroll to the nearest beach and it is surrounded by amenities such as Supermarkets, bars, restaurants.
The lady we met on arrival was very helpful and even ordered a cab for us on the day we were leaving.
Will definetly book again!

This was the third time we have been to El Medano, a great family place, as well as allowing me to go windsurfing. We have two young childeren and this apartment was fantastic. The apartment is clean and fresh. There is plenty of space for the four of us. As well as having pool side access it was a life saver having a good range of DVDs for the kids in the eventing ( able to enjoy a tipple in the evening ) . The apartment is in a perfect location in the town falling distance from good restraunts and bars. There is a kids playground outside with an internet cafe for low cost calls home.
This made an easy and enjoyable stay.
Taxi was around 15€ from airport and ask the lady to arange cab for your return.

Very comfortable well maintained apartment,within walking distance of good restaurants shops and supermarkets Apartment is very clean and has modern furniture and great shower Would reccomend to any one.

The apartment is well maintained with plenty of room for families or couples, situated at the end of the El Medano bay, a stroll along the calming beaches is the perfect way to start / end the day. Swimming is excellent all along the beach.
The atmosphere in the evening in El Medano square blends local and international cultures.
A few days in El Medano offers the chance to wind down and I always leave feeling relaxed and planning a return
Location is excellent near to the airport in a short bus ride to Las America is you fancy upping the tempo.
I would recommend both El Medano and the apartment

We stayed at the apartment in August and had a fantastic holliday.
My Husband had previously been to Al Medano on his 'stag week' windsurfing holliday and recommended it to me and our Daughter assuring us we would love it. Well he was certainly right.
The atmosphere was really laid back with none of the usual 'drunks' and lould bars etc. The main square in the town was a hive of activity with different live bands and dancing all surrounded by excellent resturants.
The apartment itself was extremely clean and comfortable with everything provided to make it home from home.
We also found the location very quiet and peaceful so just the ticket for a relaxing holiday.
We will definately be returning next year as it ticked all the boxes for our family, although if you don't like it windy this could be a problem.

Had a great stay at the apartment, it is a home from home with everything you need. Very safe for children with gate on terrace for safety around the pool. El Medano has a lovely beach and a wide selection of restaurants- too many to try in a week so definately be returning!

The apartment is located in the town of El Medano which is only 10 minutes from the Airport. This is ideal as it meant that we did not need to hire a car or anything - we simple got a taxi which cost €10. We have a large family (5 children) and the apartment is ideally located on the ground floor with direct access to the pool. This makes things very easy for the kids to get access to the pool without going up and doors stairs or lifts etc.
The apartment is very clean and has everything that you would need. The washing machine is also great and means that you can keep your luggage to a minimum while on holiday.
El Medano is only a short walk which is ideal as everything is within a 5 minute walk from restaraunts, bars, shops and of course the beach. The bus stop is outside the apartment which can take you to other towns on the island.
Carol who looks after the apartment is great and getting the key etc is very straight-forward. She even arranged a taxi for us on our return to the airport which makes things easy when you have kids and luggage as taxis cannot be pre-booked.
We have gone back again to the apartment and we find it ideal as it is so relaxing and everything is within walking distance. El Medano is very friendly and we would highly recommend it.
